  • Let H be a separable, infinite dimensional, compled Hilbert space and let L(H) be the algebra of all bounded linear operators on H. A dual algebra is a subalgebra of L(H) that contains the identity operator $I_{H}$ and is closed in the ultraweak topology on L(H). Note that the ultraweak operator topology coincides with the wea $k^{*}$ topology on L(H)(see [3]). Bercovici-Foias-Pearcy [3] studied the problem of solving systems of simultaneous equations in the predual of a dual algebra. The theory of dual algebras has been applied to the topics of invariant subspaces, dilation theory and reflexibity (see [1],[2],[3],[5],[6]), and is deeply related with properties ( $A_{m,n}$). Jung-Lee-Lee [7] introduced n-separating sets for subalgebras and proved the relationship between n-separating sets and properties ( $A_{m,n}$). In this paper we will study the relationship between direct sum and properties ( $A_{m,n}$). In particular, using some results of [7] we obtain relationship between n-separating sets and direct sum of von Neumann algebras.ras.s.ras.

  • In this paper, the shape design process is briefly discussed emphasizing the use of topology optimization in the conceptual design stage. The basic idea is to view feasible domains for sensitivity region concepts. In this method, the main process consists of two steps: as the design moves further inside the feasible domain using Taguchi method, and thus becoming more successful topology optimization, the sensitivity region becomes larger. In designing a double-eccentric butterfly valve, related to hydrodynamic performance and disc structure, are discussed where the use of topology optimization has proven to dramatically improve an existing design and significantly decrease the development time of a shape design. CFD analysis results demonstrate the validity of this approach.

  • This paper proposed a partial resonant swtiching three-phase high power factor converter using a lossless snubber. The proposed converter has a merit of simple controlled circuit because tile input current control discontinuously. And it is improve to input power factor that the snubber capacitor's energy regenerate to the AC source side. This topology is reduced a current/voltage stresses of resonant devices in addition to a partial resonant strategy. The result of simulations with the proposed topology included in this paper.

A Study on the Efficient Task Scheduling by the Reconstructed Task Graph (태스크 그래프의 재구성에 의한 효율적 태스크 스케줄링에 관한 연구)

  • This paper presents an effective heuristic task scheduling algorithm for multiprocessor systems. To execute task scheduling effectively which is defined as an allocation of m's tasks onto n's processors(m > n), several problems almost at NP-hard should be cleaned up. The purpose of the task scheduling obtains the minimum execution time by mapping the tasks on a system topology or reduces the total execution time to give a minimum system topology. In order to solve this problem, in this paper, the task scheduling is done by redefining a task graph to a reconstructed task graph (RTG). An RTG is obtained by merging or copying nodes to equal the number of nodes on each level of the task graph to the number of processors of the system topology and then directly scheduled to the system topology. This method obtains a fast scheduling time and a simple scheduling method, and near-optimal execution time without executing steps such as the refinement step and the duplication step after the task scheduling.

  • This paper considers multi-agent systems with interval time-varying delays and switching interconnection topology. By construction of a suitable Lyapunov-Krasovskii's functional, new delay-dependent consensus control conditions for the systems are established in terms of LMIs (Linear Matrix Inequalities) which can be easily solved by various effective optimization algorithms. One numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

A 50-mA 1-nF Low-Voltage Low-Dropout Voltage Regulator for SoC Applications

  • In this paper, we present a low-voltage low-dropout voltage regulator (LDO) for a system-on-chip (SoC) application which, exploiting the multiplication of the Miller effect through the use of a current amplifier, is frequency compensated up to 1-nF capacitive load. The topology and the strategy adopted to design the LDO and the related compensation frequency network are described in detail. The LDO works with a supply voltage as low as 1.2 V and provides a maximum load current of 50 mA with a drop-out voltage of 200 mV: the total integrated compensation capacitance is about 40 pF. Measurement results as well as comparison with other SoC LDOs demonstrate the advantage of the proposed topology.

  • In the control system $ \dot{x} = f(t,x(t)) + g(t,x(t))\dot{u}, x(0) = \bar{x}, t \in [0,T], $ this paper shows that the map from u with $L^1(m)$-topology to $x_u$ with $L^1(\mu)$-topology is Lipschitz continuous where f is $C^1$, $\mu$ is the Stieltjes measure derived from the function g which is not smooth in the variable t and $x_u$ is the solution of the above system corresponding to u under the assumption that $\dot{u}$ is bounded.
