디젤엔진의 콩기름연료에 의한 운전성능에 관한 시험 (A Study on the Operation Performance of Diesel Engine by using of Soybean Oil Fuel)

  • This paper, is about the test on the operating performance of diesel engine by using of soybean oil which farmers could supply in their farm yard. The diesel engine used is a swirl-chamber type, four stroke cycle with single cylinder, air cooling and its rated horse power is 2 PS per 1300 rpm. Several results obtained are as follows; 1. The starting performance of diesel engine with soybean oil is almost the same as that with light oil. 2. The variation of engine speed according to various engine load is small when soybean oil is used compared with light oil. It is considered that soybean oil is desirable for the purpose of industerial power machine fuel. 3. The specific fuel consumption increases approximately 10 percent high in the condition of rated horse power and maximum horse power and shows less or same during the load test in low velocity, when soybean oil is used 4. Though the brake thermal efficiency in the condition of rated horse power and maximum horse power is inclined to decrease when soybean oil is used compared during the load test in low velocityt shows good inclination.

  • Upcoming ground-breaking applications for always-on tiny interconnected devices steadily demand two-fold features of processor cores: aggressively low power consumption and enhanced performance. We propose implementation of a novel superscalar low-power processor core with a low supply voltage. The core implements intra-core low-power microarchitecture with minimal performance degradation in instruction fetch, branch prediction, scheduling, and execution units. The inter-core lockstep not only detects malfunctions during low-voltage operation but also carries out software-based recovery. The chip incorporates a pair of cores, high-speed memory, and peripheral interfaces to be implemented with a 65nm node. The processor core consumes only 24mW at 350MHz and 0.68V, resulting in power efficiency of $80{\mu}W/MHz$. The operating frequency of the core reaches 850MHz at 1.2V.

Low CBN 코팅공구의 SCM440 선삭시 절삭력변화에 관한 연구 (A study on the Cutting Force Variation Comparison between Low CBN and Coated Low CBN Tools in Turning of SCM440)

  • In recent years, high hardness steel is used for most of the material in many areas including aircraft, nuclear power, space exploration and automotive parts. Low CBN tools are widely used in industrial field which can effectively process high hardness steel of HRC 45 or harder. The results of this study demonstrated, when high hardness steel, SCM440 is turned with Low CBN tools coated with TiN and TiAlN coatings respectively, that both the thrust force and cutting force tends to increase with more increase in cutting force than thrust force, as the feed rate increases at constant cutting speed. In addition, the size of the cutting force and thrust force does not change with the increased cutting speed at the same feed rate, but the tool life is reduced if the cutting speed is increased to shorten the machining time. Therefore, it is recommended to limit the cutting speed at 250 m/min maximum or less. Furthermore, comparing the cutting force of the three tools at the same cutting condition, Tin coating tool showed the smallest cutting force and Low CBN was the next, and the TiAlN coating tools showed the largest cutting force.

  • This paper presents a new and simple method for sensorless operation of matrix converter drives using a constant air-gap flux and the imaginary power flowing to the motor. To improve low-speed sensorless performance, the non-linearities of a matrix converter drive such as commutation delays, turn-on and turn-off times of switching devices, and on-state switching device voltage drop are modelled using PQR transformation and compensated using a reference power control scheme. The proposed compensation method is applied for high performance induction motor drives using a 3 kW matrix converter system. Experimental results are shown to illustrate the feasibility of the proposed strategy.

A Novel Position Sensorless Speed Control Scheme for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Drives

  • PMSMS (permanent magnet synchronous motors) are widely used in industrial applications and home appliances because of their high torque to inertia ratio, superior power density, and high efficiency. For high performance control, accurate informations about the rotor position is essential. Sensorless algorithms have lately been studied extensively due to the high cost of position sensors and their low reliability in harsh environments. A novel position sensorless speed control for PMSMs uses indirect flux estimation and is presented in this paper. Rotor position and angular velocity are estimated by the proposed indirect flux estimation. Linkage flux and magnetic field flux are calculated by the voltage equations and the measured phase current without any integration. Instead of linkage flux calculation with integral operation, indirect flux and differential magnetic field are used for the estimation of rotor position. A proper rejection technique fur current noise effect in the calculation of differential linkage flux is introduced. The proposed indirect flux detecting method is free from the integral rounding error and linkage flux drift problem, because differential linkage flux can be calculated without any integral operation. Furthermore, electrical parameters of the PMSM can be measured by the proposed TCM (time compression method) for soft starting and precise estimation of rotor position. The position estimator uses accurate electrical parameters that are obtained from the proposed TCM at starting strategy. In the operating region, a proper compensation method fur temperature effect can compensate fir the estimation error from the variation of electrical parameters. The proposed novel position sensorless speed control scheme is verified by the experimental results.

  • A 7K60MC-S low speed diesel engine in a power plant has frequently experienced high vibration since the unit completed construction works. Up to date, no fundamental vibration solutions were reached. Hence, several vibration tests and analyses were conducted to identify the root cause of this high vibration and to suggest the optimal countermeasures for diesel engine. The 9.25 Hz and 25.4 Hz vibrations have been observed on main body during operation. The magnitude of engine upper structural vibration is generally similar in horizontal transverse direction. However, differences in the 'Fore' and 'After' vibration magnitude with the same vibration phase angle at 9.25 Hz occur due to the explosion pulsations of 7 cylinders and the Inertia momentum added by the SCR (selective catalytic reduction) duct system. It was analyzed that the excess structural vibration occurred when the natural frequency of engine body is affected by the exciting sources due to the explosion pressure and the discharge pulsation of the seven cylinders in resonance range.

  • 본 논문에서는 인버터의 스위칭 주파수가 0.5-1kHz로 제한되는 3레벨 인버터로 구동되는 고전압 대용량 유도 전동기 직접토크제어의 토크리플 저감법을 제안한다. 기존의 토크리플 저감법은 인버터 스위칭 주파수가 비교적 높은 2-3kHz에서 동작하는 알고리즘으로 1kHz이하의 낮은 인버터 스위칭 주파수의 시스템에 적용하면 만족할만한 토크 라플 저감 성능블 얻을 수 없다. 새로운 직접토크제어 기법은 특히 낮은 스위칭 주파수를 갖는 시스템에 적용하기 위한 것이며, 모든 동작 속도 구간에서 토크리플 저감 성능을 나티낸다. 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통해 세안한 알고리즘의 타당성을 입증한다.

$GF(2^m)$상의 AOP 기반 비-시스토릭 병렬 $AB^2+C$연산기 (A Base AOP Bit-Parallel Non-Systolic for $AB^2+C$ Computing Unit for $GF(2^m)$)

  • 본 논문은 $GF(2^m)$상의 n차 기 약 AOP를 적용하여 비-시스토릭 병렬 $AB^2+C$ 연산기를 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 연산기 회로는 AND게이트와 EX-OR 게이트만을 사용하여 설계되어지며, 설계된 회로는 기약 AOP의 특성을 이용하여 게이트를 사용하지 않고 결선으로만 연결되어 게이트 및 지 연시간이 없는 순환이동과, m개의 AND 게이트와 m개의 EX-OR게이트를 필요로 하는 승산연산, EX-OR게이트로만 구성되어지는 멱승연산, 승산연산과 멱승연산을 이용한 파워섬연산 및 가산연산 등이 사용된다. 제안된 연산기 법은 AND게이트와 EX-OR게이트만을 사용함으로 고속의 데이터 처리, 저전력 및 집적화 등의 장점이 있으며, $T_A+(1+[log^m_2])T_X$의 연산 지연시간을 갖는다.

  • This paper describes an SRAM write driver circuit which dissipates small power. The write driver utilizes a dual sized transistor structure to reduce operating current in the write cycle. In the case of higher voltage comparing to Vcc, only one transistor is active, while in the case of low Vcc two transistors are active so as to deliver the current twice. Thus though with the high voltage operation, the power consumption is reduced with keeping the speed in a given specification. Simulation results have verified the functionality of the new circuit and write power is reduced by 7 % per bit.

  • In this paper, AC electric vehicle propulsion system(Converter/Inverter) using high power semiconductor, IPM(Intelligent Power module) is proposed. 2-Parallel operation of two PWM converter is adopted for increasing capacity of system and the VVVF inverter control is used a mixed control algorithm, where the vector control strategy at low speed region and slip-frequency control strategy at high speed region. The proposed propulsion system is verified by experimental results with a 1,350kW converter and 1.100kVA inverter with four 210kW traction motors.
