  • In recent automotive industries, fine blanking technology widely used in production of components with relatively thick gauges in brake systems, seat recliner, door locks, and auto transmission systems. Due to its advantages to obtain almost final product quality using fine blanking forming process without additional finish machining processes, consequently saving the production costs. In this paper we intended to develope the small sized module gear toothed dual seat recliner sector gear(0.5mm module) for car seats using fine blanking process which needed semi piercing with computer simulation and a lot of try and errors to achieve required accuracy and geometric quality. However through the some corrections of tool geometries with tryout test, we could get successful results.

A Study on Folding Furniture through the Structure of Hinges (경첩구조를 이용한 접이식 가구에 관한 연구)

  • For opening and shutting function, door has some hardware such as hinges and the locks. The folding mechanism of hinges represent mobility, and the lock means stability. The opening and shutting door-the mobility-could be interpreted the movement from flat state to three-dimensional structure. The folding mechanism also would be understood variable feature to the space. This study focus on the Folding Furniture which adapted the good point of hinges to make efficient use of the space. The folding furniture presented in this study has not only artistic meaning which expand and apply structural function of hinges, but also flexible reanalysis on the environment and the space which change with social, economic and cultural trend.

  • Various kinds of accessories(e.g., clock, radio, automatic door locks, alarm devices, etc.) or unit components (e.g., black box, navigation system, alarm, private audio, etc.) require dark current even when the vehicle power is turned off. However, accessories or unit components can be the causes of excessive dark current generation. It results in battery discharge and the vehicle's failure to start. Therefore, immediate detection of abnormal dark current and response are very important for a successful repair job. In this paper, we can increase the maintenance efficiency by presenting a standardized diagnostic process for the measurement of the dark current and the existing problem. As a result of the absence of a system to block the dark current in a vehicle, diagnosis and repair were performed immediately by using a standardized dark current diagnostic process.

  • A secure slip knot is very important in the arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder joint. The new 'Hallym Slider', developed by the first author(KCN), has the properties of being a simple sliding and one-way locking knot. This technique can be performed alone without an assistant and has no accidental premature locking during the knot tying. The initial slip knot determines the adequacy of tissue approximation and consequent healing. The 'Hallym Slider' has excellent initial holding capacity, maintaining tension on soft tissue while additional half-hitches are being tied. It locks readily, it takes less time to tie than numerous square knots, and it is not as bulky as other knots. Therefore, we introduce this new sliding and one-way locking knot during the arthroscpic surgery of shoulder.

  • This paper presents a novel scheme that quickly searches for the sweet spot of multiple array antennas, and locks on to it for high-speed millimeter wavelength transmissions. The proposed method utilizes a modified genetic algorithm, which selects a superior initial group through preprocessing in order to solve the local solution in a genetic algorithm. TDD (Time Division Duplex) is utilized as the transfer method and data controller for the antenna. Once the initial communication is completed for the specific number of individuals, no longer antenna's data will be transmitted until each station processes GA in order to produce the next generation. After reproduction, individuals of the next generation become the data, and communication between each station is made again. Simulation results confirmed the efficiency of the proposed method.

  • This paper describes the optimal current-control of a permanent magnet synchronous motor by the use of robust and simple current controllers, based upon the analytical procedure known as the inverse LQ (ILQ) design method. The ILQ design method is a strategy for finding the optimal gains based on pole assignment without solving the Riccati equation. It is very important to keep the motor in robust servo-lock. By experiments and simulations, we will show that the ILQ optimal servo-system with servo-lock is more insensitive at low speeds to variations in armature inductance than the standard PI servo-system. Variations in armature inductance have the greatest influence on the responses of a servo-system.

  • The all pass filter generates a virtual q-axis voltage component with $90^{\circ}$ phase delay but the virtual q-axis voltage cannot detect the voltage depending on the phase of the grid voltage. To overcome the problem, q-axis voltage component is generated from difference between the current and previous value of d-axis voltage component in the stationary reference frame. However, the difference voltage between the current and previous value around the zero crossing voltage is not enough to detect the voltage sag. Therefore, the new detection scheme which can detect the sag around the zero crossing voltage is proposed.

  • An integrated single-wafer processing tool, composed of multiple single wafer processing modules, transfer robots, and load locks, has complex routing sequences, and often has critical post-processing residency constraints. Scheduling of these tools is an intricate problem, and testing schedulers with actual tools requires too much time and cost. The Single Wafer Processor (SWP) simulator presented in this paper is to validate an on-line scheduler, and evaluate performance of integrated single-wafer processing tools before the scheduler is actually deployed into real systems. The data transfer between the scheduler and the simulator is carried out with TCP/IP communication using messages and files. The developed simulator consists of six modules, i.e., GUI (Graphic User Interface), emulators, execution system, module managers, analyzer, and 3D animator. The overall framework is built using Microsoft Visual C++, and the animator is embodied using OpenGL API (Application Programming Interface).

  • 기존 도어락의 핀 인증 방식은 사용자에 따라 불편함을 느끼기도 한다. 이에 대한 솔루션으로 안면인식 도어락을 제안하며 Jetson nano에 face recognition 딥러닝 모델을 적용한 도어락을 제작한다. 거주자의 이미지를 촬영한 뒤 얼굴의 특징점을 분석하여 저장한다. 사용자가 도어락의 카메라에 인식되었을 때 저장된 안면 정보를 바탕으로 사용자가 거주자의 특징점과 일치하는지 확인한다. 거주자임이 인지되었을 때 도어락은 unlock되어 열리게 된다. 안면 인식 도어락 사용 시 보안상 취약해질 수 있는 기존 도어락의 핀 인증 방식에 대해 보안을 강화할 수 있으며 카메라를 통해 촬영된 사용자의 사진 및 영상을 활용하여 여러 서비스를 적용할 수 있다.
