  • In this paper present a Low Drop-Out(LDO) regulator that improves load transient characteristics due to the push-pull pass transistor structure is proposed. Improved load over the existing LDO regulator by improving the overshoot and undershoot entering the voltage line by adding the proposed push-pull circuit between the output stage of the error amplifier inside the LDO regulator and the gate stage of the pass transistor and the push-pull circuit at the output stage. It has a delta voltage value of transient characteristics. The proposed LDO structure was analyzed in Samsung 0.13um process using Cadence's Virtuoso, Spectre simulator.

  • In this paper present Low Drop-Out (LDO) regulator that improved load transient characteristics due to the push-pull detection structure. The response characteristic of the voltage delta value is improved due to the proposed push-pull sensing circuit structure between the input terminal of the LDO regulator pass transistor and the output terminal of the internal error amplifier. Voltage value has improved load transient characteristics than conventional LDO regulator. Compared to the conventional LDO regulator, it has an improved response speed of approximately 244 ns at rising time and approximately 90 ns at falling time. The proposed circuit was simulated by the samsung 0.13um process using Cadence's Specter and Virtuoso simulator.

  • Pile foundations have been used for upholding superstructure's loads. The researches on pile foundations subjected to compressive forces or horizontal loads have been actively carried out. However, recently, pile foundations, which are subjected to pull-out forces, are getting increased. The study on the pull-out resistance of piles becomes to be important. In addition, it is expected that belled piles will be used more and more, since the belled piles are effective to resist the pull-out forces. But there is still a lack of research on pull-out resistance of belled piles. Therefore, in order to investigate the resisting effect against pull-out of belled piles which is embedded in cohesionless soil. a series of pull-out test is performed on belled piles in field. Especially, the relation between load and displacement is analyzed through the pull-out test.

  • A Land slide in Granitic Gneiss weathered soil was stabilized successfully with soil nailing using 929mm steel bar. To understand the behavior of load transfer between soil and nail, in-situ pdl-out tests were carried out. The strains of steel bars were measured using strain gauges during pull-out tests. Forces-strain data from laboratory tension tests on steel bar and grouted steel bar were examined to compare with those of the pull-out tests. Comparisons were made between the pull-out test results and laboratory test result to understand load transfer mechanism.

  • This paper presents a development of the recoil rod pull force measurement system suing the load cell with a sleeve normally available in the recoil system test. The commercial load cell cannot be used in the test of recoil system floating the breach contact point freely in the air. The load cell is designed and manufactured to meet the recoil system test condition. Theoretical analysis and experimental results show that the accuracy of the developed measurement system is within $\pm$0.5%. We notice that the measurement technique proposed in this paper is accurate and useful in the recoil rod pull force measurement of the recoil system.

  • This study was conducted to investigate the load acting on a tractor engine when it delivers the maximum power at drawbar. The results of the drawbar tests on the 5 locally-made and 14 imported tractors conducted at NIAE in 2004, and the 15 tractors tested at OECD test stations in foreign countries were analyzed and presented by the torque load ratio, defined as a ratio of the engine torque load caused by drawbar pull to its full-load capacity, as a function of pull speed. The NIAE test results showed that the torque load ratio increased from 20 to 80% with pull speed less than 5 km/h. At speeds faster than 5 km/h, it was 80${\sim}$110% regardless of the pull speed. However, the OECD test results showed that the torque load ratio was evaluated mostly to be 70${\sim}$90% in the entire pull speed range. The same trend was also shown for the maximum drawbar load. The difference in the torque load ratio may be attributable to bias-ply tires for locally-made and some imported tractors. It is also suggested that the input torque load may be increased safely up to 120% of the full load capacity of the tractor engine for an accelerated life test of tractor transmissions.

  • In this study, the verification test and creep test for both a single-rebar nail and a multi-rebar nail are carried out to investigate a tensile strength for both nails. The adhesion effects between a rebar and a cement grout, a mobilized frictional force induced by pull-out load, and load transfer characteristics are examined. The results obtained from the field pull-out tests and from the numerical analysis using $FLAC^{2D}$ which is one of the programs developed based on the finite difference method are analyzed and compared for a single-rebar nail and a multi-rebar nail. The field pull-out test results for a multi-rebar nail relative to a single-rebar nail show that a tensile failure load is relatively large and the pull-out loads are well transferred to the ground in deep depth.

  • Steel bolts are used in the construction industry for a large variety of applications that range from fixing permanent installations to temporary fixtures. In the past much research has been focused on developing destructive testing techniques to estimate their pull-out load carrying capacity with very little attention to develop non-destructive techniques. In this regards the presented research work details the combined use of ultrasonic pulse velocity and Schmidt hammer tests to identify anchor bolts with faculty installation and to estimate their pull-out strength by relating it to the Schmidt hammer rebound value. From experimentation, it was observed that the load capacity of bolt depends on its embedment length, diameter, bond quality/concrete strength and alignment. Ultrasonic pulse velocity test is used to judge the quality of bond of embedded anchor bolt by relating the increase in ultrasonic pulse transit time to the presence of internal pours and cracks in the vicinity of steel bolt and the surrounding concrete. This information combined with the Schmidt hammer rebound number, R, can be used to accurately identify defective bolts which resulted in lower pull-out strength. 12 mm diameter bolts with embedment length of 70 mm and 50 mm were investigated using constant strength concrete. Pull-out load capacity versus the Schmidt hammer rebound number for each embedment length is presented.

  • In this paper, a passive load-pull using a GaN HEMT (Gallium Nitride High Electron Mobility Transistor) bare-chip in X-band is presented. To obtain operation conditions that characteristic change by self-heating was minimized, pulsed drain bias voltage and pulsed-RF signal is employed. An accuracy impedance matching circuits considered parasitic components such as wire-bonding effect at the boundary of the drain is accomplished through the use of a electro-magnetic simulation and a circuit simulation. The microstrip line length-tunable matching circuit is employed to adjust the impedance. The measured maximum output power and drain efficiency of the pulsed load-pull are 42.46 dBm and 58.7%, respectively, across the 8.5-9.2 GHz band.
