Cellular internalization effect of Ara27 in various cell lines

  • Protein and peptide candidates are screened to apply therapeutic application as a drug. Ensuring that these candidates are delivered and maximized effectiveness is still challenging and a variety of studies are ongoing. As drug delivery system vehicles, cell-penetrating peptide (CPP) can deliver various kinds of cargo into the cell cytosol. In a previous study, we developed Ara27 CPP, which are a zinc knuckle family protein of Arabidopsis, and confirmed internalization in human dermal fibroblasts and human dental pulp stem cells at low concentration with short time treatment condition without any toxicity. Ara27, an amphipathic CPP, could be modified and utilized in the biomedical field excluding the risk of toxicity. Therefore, we would like to confirm the non-toxic induced penetrating ability of Ara27 in various cell lines. The purpose of this study was to screen the cell internalization ability of Ara27 in various cell lines and to confirm Ara27 as a promising core CPP structure. First, Ara27 was screened to confirm non-toxicity concentration. Then, fluorescence-labeled Ara27 was treated on human normal cell lines, cancer cell lines and animal cell lines to identify the cellular internalization of Ara27. Ara27 was well intracellular localized in all cell lines and the intensity of fluorescence was remarkably increased in time pass manner. These results indicate that Ara27 has the potential as a core structure for applications in various drug delivery systems.

The Community Structure and Spatial Distribution of Meiobenthos in the Kanghwa Tidal Flat, West Coast of Korea

  • The community structure of meiobenthos was studied in tidal flats of Kanghwado in November, 1997. Nematodes were the most dominant group among 18 total meiofaunal groups at most stations except for at lower tidal flats where the most abundant groups were harpacticoid copepods. Meiobenthos were the most abundant in the upper 1cm and their density decreased depending on the depth from the surface. The highest density of the meiobenthos was 6,094 inds. $10cm^{-2}$ at the upper tidal flat, while the lowest was 1,524 ind. $10cm^{-2}$ at the lower tidal flat. The density was higher in general at the upper tidal flats, but decreased at the stations toward lower tidal flat at all transect lines. At all transect lines, nematodes decreased as stations were along toward lower tidal flat whereas harpacticoids increased. The values of N/C(nematodes/benthic harpacticoids) ratio were higher at the upper tidal flats than the lower tidal flats at all transect lines.

한국 현대시 운율의 음향 발현 (Acoustic Realization of Metrical Structure in Orally Produced Korean Modern Poetry)

  • The metrical structures in orally produced the poetry were generally analyzed by accent, metre and syllable. The purpose of this study is to investigate of metrical structures of Korean modem poetry using computer implemented speech analysis system. Two famous poet's poems confidential talk, Miloe and 'A buddhist dance, Sungmu' were selected for prosodic analysis. The informant is 60 years old professor in major of Korean and French poetry. The syllable structures of poems were analyzed primarily by vowel timbers, which can classified compact and diffuse vowels according to the distance of F2-F1. The perception cues of consonants were analyzed by VOT and tensity features of articulation. Rhythm is classified by dactyl, anapest, trochee, spondee and iambic. As a result, syllable structures of Korean modem poetry were mainly CV and CVC and the reading times of each lines were 3-4sec for 12 and 15 syllables. Main metre of Korean modem poems constructed the Imbic and Anapest. The break of each lines were demarcated by grammatical structure or meaning rather than phonetic structures.

  • The study analyzed problems by iron core structure of the three phased transformer on asymmetric three phase lines, which included line disconnections, ground faults, COS OFF, and unbalanced loads on the power distribution system. In particular, by analyzing PT combustion cases within the MOF, the study was able to analyze the combustion cause of the core-type transformer and its effect on the system, conduct simulations and practice demonstrations on the characteristics for each iron core structure of the three phase transformer using PSCAD/EMTDC, and suggest measures to prevent the combustion of the core-type transformer.

  • In this paper, we analyzed the crosstalk characteristics of LD array modules for WDM and improved the crosstalk levels using a screening line between access lines. From the calculation resutls, we have found that inductive crosstalk of access lines is dominant for the low impedance LD arrays with short bondwire interconnections. The proposed array interconnecton with the screening line and ouble bondwires, rduces the crosstalk level about 10dB compared to conventional interconnections using simple access lines and a single bondwire. This proposed structure also can be easily imlemented with transmission reliability.

  • The normal mode parameters of microstrip coupled lines are datermined from the self and mutual capacitance and inductance of microstrip lines. In this paper, these capacitance are computed by using the relaxation method based on Quas1-TEM model for shoelded structure. Using these results, the normal mode parameters of two and three microstrip coupled lines are obtained.

  • DLLs(Delay Locked Loops) have widely been used in many systems in order to achieve the clock synchronization. A SMD (Synchronous Mirror Delay) structure is used both for skew reduction and for DCC (Duty Cycle Correction). In this paper, a SMD based DLL with DCC using Reduced Delay Lines is proposed in order to reduce the clock skew and correct the duty cycle. The merged structure allows the forward delay array to be shared between the DLL and the DCC, and yields a 25% saving in the number of the required delay cells. The designed chip was fabricated using a $0.25{\mu}m$ 1-poly, 4-metal CMOS process. Measurement results showed the 3% duty cycle error when the input signal ranges from 80% to 20% and the clock frequency ranges from 400MHz to 600MHz. The locking operation needs 3 clock and duty correction requires only 5 clock cycles as feature with SMD structure.

공생형 별 AG PEGASI의 고해상 스펙트럼 (HIGH RESOLUTION SPECTRUM OF SYMBIOTIC STAR AG PEGASI)

  • We report a high resolution spectrum of AG Pegasi observed at Bohyunsan Optical Astronomy Observatory (BOAO) on October 2, 2004. Some of permitted emission lines, for example H I, He I, He II, Fe II and Ti II were observed in the spectrum of AG Pegasi in 2004. Lines presented in the longer wavelength region than $6500{\AA}$ are identified. And radial velocities for each element are measured. Then we carefully discuss the geometrical feature of AG Pegasi in October 2004.

Spectroscopic Study of the Planetary Nebula NGC 6210: Velocity Structure and Permitted Lines

  • Using the spectroscopic data secured with the Hamilton Echelle Spectrograph at Lick Observatory, we found the physical condition of the planetary Nebula NGC 6210. The spectral line profiles of the permitted and forbidden lines have been analyzed using IRAF and StarLink/Dipso. The hydrogen number densities ($N_H$) are 2,000-20,000 $cm^{-3}$, and the electron temperatures are 8,100-10,300 K based on the forbidden lines. The expansion velocities, derived from the Full Width at Half Maximum (FWHM) and the double peak of the line profiles, are in the range of 10 to $45\;kms^{-1}$. The expansion velocities imply a shell structure with an accelerated nebular gas. We also derived abundances from the permitted lines of CII, CIII, NII, NIII, OII, and OIII, which may have been formed through the fluorescence mechanism. NGC 6210 is likely to be evolved from a progenitor of more than $3M_{\bullet}$, which had been born near the Galactic plane.

초등학교 수학에서 삼각형 내각의 합과 평행선의 성질의 연계성 (The relation of the angle sum of a triangle and the property of parallel lines in Elementary school mathematics)

  • 이 연구에서는 초등학교 수학 교과서에서 삼각형의 내각의 합과 평행선의 성질이 관련 없이 제시되고 있다는 사실을 지적하고, 이를 유클리드 원론의 체계와 현행 교과서의 관련 내용에 대한 고찰을 바탕으로 그 타당성에 대해 논의하였다. 평행선에 대한 엇각과 동위각의 성질은 초등학교 수학의 여러 주제 속에 내재해 있으며, 유클리드 원론의 체계 속에서 삼각형의 내각과 떼어놓고 생각할 수 없는 의미를 가지고 있었다. 이러한 고찰을 통해 두 주제는 관계를 맺어 지도하는 것이 바람직하다는 결론을 얻었다.
