Silicon Pressure Sensor Using Shear Piezoresistance Effect (전단 압저항 효과를 이용한 실리콘 압력센서)

  • The thin, square-diaphragm silicon pressure sensor utilizing shear piezoresistance effect was designed and fabricated and its characteristics were examined. The sensor has only one diffused resistor, whereas conventional full-bridge sensor has four. Sensitivity is somewhat lower but temperature compensation is easier than the latter. The proposed sensor was fabricated with only one p-type diffused resistor of the dimension of 113x85\ulcorner\ulcornerlocated near the center of the edge of the diaphragm. The resistor was at 45\ulcornerwith the edge of the diaphragm. The sensitivity of the sensor was 36\ulcorner/V\ulcornermHg and was linear in the pressure range from 0 to 300 mmHg. The temperature coefficient without temperature compensation was 55 ppm/\ulcorner and it was decreased to about 0.17 mmHg/\ulcorner with compensation in the range from 10 to 60\ulcorner.

Electrochemical Reaction and Short-Circuit Behavior between Lead Borate Glass Doped with Metal Filler and Ni-Cr Alloy Wire (금속 필러가 첨가된 Pb-B-O계 유리와 Ni-Cr 합금 와이어 간의 전기 화학적 반응과 단락 거동)

  • The electrochemical reaction between lead borate glass frit doped with Sn metal filler and Ni-Cr wire of a J-type resistor during a term of Joule heating is investigated. The fusing behavior in which the Ni-Cr wire is melted is not observed for the control group but measured for the Sn-doped specimen under 30 V and 500 mA. The Sn-doped lead borate glass frit shows a fusing property compared with other metal-doped specimens. Meanwhile, the redox reaction significantly contributes to the fusing behavior due to the release of free electrons of the metal toward the glass. The electrons derived from the glass, which used Joule heat to reach the melting point of Ni-Cr wire, increase with increasing corrosion rate at interface of metal/glass. Finally, the confidence interval is 95 ± 1.959 %, and the adjusted regression coefficient, R in the optimal linear graph, is 0.93, reflecting 93% of the data and providing great potential for fusible resistor applications.

  • In this paper, we propose a new simple scheme of layered nonlinear feedforward logic (NLFFL) overlaid on a linear feedback shift resistor (LFSR) to generate pseudonoise sequences, which have good balance property and large linear complexity. This method guarantee noiselike statistics without any designed connection scheme e.g. Langford arrangement.

  • Chuas circuit is a simple electronic network which exhibits a variety of bifurcation and attractors. The circuit consists of two capacitors, an inductor, a linear resistor, and a nonlinear resistor. In this paper, a transmitter and a receiver using two identical Chuas circuits are proposed and synchronizations of a equivalent wire and wireless power line are investigated. Since the synchronization of the equivalent wire and wireless system is impossible by coupled synchronization, theory having both the drive-response and the coupled synchronization is proposed. As a result, the chaos synchronization has delay characteristics in the equivalent wire and wireless transmission system caused by the line parameters L and C.

  • Instead of barium carbonate, domestic barite was used as the flux in manufacturing theinsulating porcelain. To avoid the problems arising from the decomposition of barite in the body during firing, BaO.$Al_2O_3$ was synthesized at $1300^{\circ}C$ for 5 hours. synthetic BaO.$Al_2O_3$ was mixed with other materials such as kaoline, alumina, clay, dolomite. The RO content (CaO. MgO. BaO) of the batches was varied from range of 4 to 14wt. % at 2wt. % - intervals, and firing temperature was varied from 1280 to 140$0^{\circ}C$-at 4$0^{\circ}C$ intervals The properties such as water absorption, bulk density. mechnical strength, specific resistance, and linear shrinkage were measured. The body containing 12 wt.% of RO content showed the satisfactory for the application in the Fixed Carbon Film Resistor.

  • Chua's oscillator is a simple electronic circuit which exhibits a variety of bifurcation phenomena and attractors, It consist of two capacitors, an inductor, two linear resistors, and a nonlinear resistor. When the circuit exhibits chaotic signals, the nonlinear resistor of Chua's oscillator may have six different voltage - current characteristics. In this paper, the design methodology for practical implementation of the nonlinear resistors which have all these characteristics is described. In addition, the effectivness of result is shown by not only the computer simulation but also the experimental test.

In this paper, a transmitter and a receiver using two identical Chua's circuits are proposed and a equivalent wire secure communications are investigated. A secure communication method in which the desired information signal is synthesized with the chaos signal created by the Chua's circuit is proposed and information signal is demodulated also using the Chua's circuit. The proposed method is synthesizing the desired information with the chaos circuit by adding the information signal to the chaos signal in the wire transmission system.

  • In this paper, the GYRATOR circuit is designed by the highly linear MOS transconductor with the gain factor controllable by offset voltage, and the floating inductor, the floating resistor and the grounded resistor are simulated by the GYTATOR for VLSI. And for the design exmple, Butterworth filter is designed using this GYRATOR, and is conpensated by the frequency transformation for the frequency shift that due to non-ideal output impedance of transconductor.
