In passive sonar, the frequency spectrum of a sound radiated by underwater moving targets is composed of a broadband nonuniform background noise and narrowband discrete tonals. To detect the tonals, the background noise is estimated and removed. Using the existing algorithms that estimate the background noise, a week tonals are not detected. Because a freuqency line that is formed by tonals which are being extracted continuously is a feture of the target, we are nessesory to efficiently detect the tonals that compose the frequncy line. In this paper, we propose an efficient neural network that can remove automatically the background and detect the even errl tonals, and we extract the frequency line feature on the spectrogram by the proposed algorithm. The experimental results for a ship's radiated sound show a better performance in comparison with the existing TPM algorithm.
A chaotic vibration isolation system is designed according to the chaotic vibration theory in this paper. The strong nonlinearity is generated by the system. Line spectra in the radiated noise maybe easily detected caused by marine vessels. It is Important to reduce the line spectra by improving the acoustic stealth of marine vessels. A multi-degree-freedom (MDF) nonlinear vibration isolation system (NVIS) system is setup by the experiment and finite element method. The model is established with finite element method. The results show that the behavior of the device gradually varies from period bifurcation into chaotic state and the line spectrum is changed from single spectral structure into broadband spectral structure. It is concluded that chaotic vibration isolation is preferable contrasted on line spectra isolation.
This study was conducted to develop a real-time internal quality evaluation technique for Korean red ginseng using NIR spectroscopy while they were moving to be graded. Internal qualities of Korean red ginseng were defined by color, amount of white core and cavity in the red ginseng. To evaluate the internal quality, PLS (Partial Least Square) model was developed. Spectrum saturation can be occurred when most red ginseng has a sound internal quality expressed by higher light transmittance ratio, but that could not found in the ginseng of internal white core under the same light situation. And, if spectrum saturation is obtained, it is hard to identify the exact information of internal quality. In order to evaluate of the internal quality regardless of having internal normal core or white core, an integral time controlled method was used to obtain traditional spectrum. This procedure was applied in real-time process when red ginseng was moving to be graded in the line. Among the 450 samples including 223 internal normal ginsengs and 227 internal white core ginsengs, 315 ginsengs (70%) were used to develop a calibration model and 135 ginsengs were spent to validate the model. The result of quality evaluation by the model was very good showing SEP and bias were 0.3573 and 0.0310, respectively, and the accuracy was 95.6%.
This paper describes design and implementation of a spread spectrum clock generator(SSCG). The proposed architecture generates the spread spectrum clock controlling a input voltage signal for VCDL(Voltage Controlled Delay Line). Spread charge pump is controlled by the SSC modulation logic block provides a control signal to VCDL through LPF in DLL. By using this architecture, chip area and power consumption can be reduced because it is not necessary additional circuit to control modulation rate. This circuit has been designed and fabricated using the UMC 0.25um CMOS technology. The chip occupies an area of 290${\times}$120um^2.
The inverse Compton scattering of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) radiation with electrons in the intracluster medium which has a temperature gradient, was examined by the third-order perturbation theory of the Compton scattering. A new type of the spectrum distortion of the CMB was found and named as gradient T Sunyaev-Zel'dovich effect (gradT SZE). The spectrum has an universal shape. There is a zero distortion point, the cross over frequency, at 326GHz. When the hotter region locates closer to an observer, the intensity becomes brighter than the CMB in the frequency region lower than the cross over frequency and fainter than the CMB in the frequency region higher than the cross over frequency. When the cooler region locates closer to an observer, the distorted part of the spectrum has an opposite sign to the above case. The amplitude of the spectrum distortion does not de-pend on the electron density and depends on the heat conductivity and the total temperature variation along a line of sight. Therefore, the gradT SZE provides an unique opportunity to measure thermally nonequilibrium electron momentum distribution function in the ICM and combined with the X-ray measurements of the electron temperature distribution provides an opportunity of direct measurement of the heat conductivity in the ICM.
Nanoparticles of $Fe_2O_3$ with a mean particle size of 4-30 nm have been prepared by a pulsed wire evaporation method, and its structural and magnetic properties were studied by SQUID magnetometer and Mossbauer spectroscopy. From the main peak intensity of XRD and absorption rate of Mossbauer spectrum, the amounts of $\gamma-Fe_2O_3$ and $\alpha-Fe_2O_3$ in as-prepared sample are about 70% and 30%, respectively. The coercivity (53 Oe) and the saturation magnetization (14 emu/g) are about 20% of those of the bulk $\gamma-Fe_2O_3$. The low value of coercivity and saturation magnetization indicate that the $\gamma-Fe_2O_3$ phase nearly shows the spin glass-like behavior. Analysis of the set of Mossbauer spectrum indicates a distribution of magnetic hyperfine fields due to the particle size distribution yielding 20 nm of average particle size. The magnetic hyperfine parameters are consistent with values reported of bulk $\gamma-Fe_2O_3$ and $alpha-Fe_2O_3$. A quadrupole line on the center of spectrum represents of superparamagnetic phase of $\gamma-Fe_2O_3$ with a mean particle size of 7 nm or below.
It is well-known that the spectrum of a $spin^{\mathbb{C}}$ Dirac operator on a closed Riemannian $spin^{\mathbb{C}}$ manifold $M^{2k}$ of dimension 2k for $k{\in}{\mathbb{N}}$ is symmetric. In this article, we prove that over an odd-dimensional Riemannian product $M^{2p}_1{\times}M^{2q+1}_2$ with a product $spin^{\mathbb{C}}$ structure for $p{\geq}1$, $q{\geq}0$, the spectrum of a $spin^{\mathbb{C}}$ Dirac operator given by a product connection is symmetric if and only if either the $spin^{\mathbb{C}}$ Dirac spectrum of $M^{2q+1}_2$ is symmetric or $(e^{{\frac{1}{2}}c_1(L_1)}{\hat{A}}(M_1))[M_1]=0$, where $L_1$ is the associated line bundle for the given $spin^{\mathbb{C}}$ structure of $M_1$.

Many precedent investigations hate been made for the reliable assessment of the insulation state of large power apparatus for which partial discharge detection is one of tile plausible way. In this work, experimental investigations have been carried out to make the comparison on the PD(partial discharge) pattern analysis related to the five different types of artificial defects such as SFMP (Single Free Moving Particle), MFMP (Multi Free Moving Particle), Void, CFP (Conductor-Fixed Protrusion), EP (Enclosure Protrusion). For each PD pattern, PD detection has been done by tee different types of PD sensors such as HFCT(High Frequency Current Transformer), AE(Acoustic Emission) and UHF(Ultra High Frequency). And, in addition, frequency spectrum by the UHF sensor has been also made for each defect respectively. As a result, it is observed that the possibility of obtaining PD pattern based on PRPD(Phase Resolved Partial Discharge) in connection with the defects tinder investigation is dependant on the type of the sensor while the spectrum analysis is always successful to be achieved for every defect. Therefore, it could be suggested that the nature of PD source can be identified more distinctively when the conventional PRPDA is combined with spectrum analysis.
In This paper, we have analyzed the power spectrum of DS-TH Ulhawideband (Direct Sequence-Time Hopping UWB) system which used pseudo-noise (PN) code. The DS-TH UWB system proposed in this paper multiplies the information signal with PN code to construct pulse train with random pattern and then the chips in pulse train are bundled into several groups to map to the particular value. The (+)/(-) pulse is tented in the time slot of frame by comparing a particular value with timing information that was stored in the lookup table. Thus, the energy spark (Comb Line) which is generated certainly in convantional system can be suppressed efficiently by PN code. And we knew that the proposed DS-TH UWB System even could have very smoothing power spectrum ctaracteristic without applying high speed Time-Hopping code.

In this paper, we propose the new audio watermarking method and can be used on line processing. Instead of the wavelet transform, we use the integer wavelet transform for the reduction of the computational load. The watermark associated with the chi-square distribution is inserted into the signal on the integer wavelet domain. When extracting the watermark, the spread spectrum methods are used with the coefficients associated with the covariance sequence. We show that the chi-square distribution is a good tool for the spread spectrum method on the wavelet domain. This watermarking technique may be sued for the control of the electrical product which can be controlled with the hidden signals and can be moved according to the audible signals simultaneously.
