Direct and Quantitative Analysis of Salmonella enterica Serovar Typhimurium Using Real-Time PCR from Artificially Contaminated Chicken Meat

  • For quantitative PCR assay of Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium in food samples, a real-time PCR method was developed, based on DNA genome equivalent. Specific primers and probe designed based on the STM4497 gene of S. Typhimurium LT2 showed the specificity to S. Typhimurium. Threshold cycle (Ct) values of real-time PCR were obtained from a quantitative standard curve with genomic DNA of Salmonella Typhimurium. In addition, the recovery of S. Typhimurium inoculated artificially to chicken samples with $4.5{\times}10^5$ to 4.5 CFU/ml was evaluated by using real-time PCR and plate-count methods. Result showed that the number of cells calculated from the real-time PCR method had good correlation with that of the plate-count method. This real-time PCR method could be applicable to the detection and quantification of S. Typhimurium in food samples.

시간제 근로 및 성별에 따른 개인의 삶의 만족도 분석 - 「서울서베이 도시정책지표조사」를 이용하여 - (The Effect of Part-time Work on the Satisfaction of Personal Life - Using Seoul Survey -)

  • 우리나라 연평균 근로시간은 OECD 최상위 수준이다. 장시간 근로는 근로자의 생산성을 저해하고 일과 가정의 양립을 방해하는 등 삶의 질을 하락시키는 요인이 된다. 최근 정부는 시간제 일자리를 증가하는 등 유연근로제를 장려하고 있지만, 양질의 시간제 일자리가 부족한 현실이다. 시간제 근로는 일과 개인의 삶을 병행할 수 있게 하지만, 동시에 열악한 근로환경과 부정적인 사회적 시선을 보유하여 개인의 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향이 전일제 근로와는 다를 것으로 예상된다. 특히 여성의 경우 노동시장에서 성별 격차를 경험하고 있으며, 일과 가정의 병행이라는 측면에서 시간제 근로가 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향이 남성과 다르게 나타날 수 있다. 본 연구는 2017년도 "서울서베이 도시정책지표조사" 자료를 활용하여 근무유형-성별의 교차효과가 개인의 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향을 순서형 로지스틱 회귀모형을 통해 실증적으로 분석하였다. 분석결과에 따르면, 삶의 만족도는 전일제 여성, 전일제 남성, 시간제 여성, 시간제 남성 순으로 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 시간제 여성 근로자가 낮은 삶의 만족도를 가질 확률이 가장 높은 반면, 높은 삶의 만족도를 가질 확률은 가장 낮게 나타났다. 대조적으로 전일제 남성 근로자는 낮은 삶의 만족도를 가질 확률이 가장 낮은 반면, 높은 삶의 만족도를 가질 확률은 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the change of time use in employed husbands and their wives according to family life cycle. Data for 284 couples were gathered from the structured questionnaire and time diary. The major findings of this study were as follows; (1) The family life cycle had effected on the time use of wives changed remarkable. That is to say the housework time of the unemployed wives decreased after increasing to the second stage but the social-cultural time of those changed to the contrary. (2) The family life cycle affected only the husbands' housework time on the weekend but wasn't the important effect of time use in case of the employed husbands.

  • Nondestructive inspection and accompanying life analysis based on fracture mechanics were the major conventional methods for evaluating remaining life of critical high temperature components in power plants. By using these conventional methods, it has been difficult to perform in-service inspection for life prediction. Also, quantitative damage evaluation due to unexpected abrupt changes in operating temperature was almost impossible. Thus, many efforts have been made for evaluating remaining life during operation of the plants and predicting real-time life usage values based on the shape of structures, operating history, and material properties. In this study, a core software for on-line life monitoring system which carries out real-time life evaluation of a critical component in power boiler(high temperature steam headers) is developed. The software is capable of evaluating creep and fatigue life usage from the real-time stress data calculated by using temperature/stress transfer Green functions derived for the specific headers and by counting transient cycles. The major benefits of the developed software lie in determining future operating schedule, inspection interval, and replacement plan by monitoring real-time life usage based on prior operating history.

대학생들의 시간 사용과 삶의 질의 관계 : 보건계열 대학생을 중심으로 (The Relationship between Structured Time Usage and Quality of Life for University Students : Centered on Health-related University Students)

  • 목적 : 본 연구의 목적은 대학생을 대상으로 시간 관리에 대해 파악하여 클라이언트의 기능적 향상 뿐만 아니라 비장애인을 포함한 작업치료 서비스를 제공받는 모든 클라이언트의 삶의 질 향상을 위한 효율적인 시간 관리 방법을 계획 및 교육하는데 기초 자료로 제공하고자 한다. 연구방법 : 본 연구는 4년제 대학교 재학생들을 대상으로 구조화된 시간 사용과 삶의 질의 관계를 알아보고자 설문지법을 이용한 조사연구이다. 일반적 특성, 구조화된 시간 사용 설문지(time structure questionnaire)와 세계보건기구에서 개발한 삶의 질 단축형(WHOQOL-BREF)을 사용하여 조사하였고, 결측값이 있는 설문지 8부를 제외한 총 142부를 수합하여 비교, 분석하였다. 결과 : 본 연구 결과 삶의 질과 구조화된 시간 관리에 유의한 상관성이 있었고, 구조화된 시간 관리의 하위 항목인 목적의식, 구조화된 일상, 지속, 과거방향, 수면정도에서 유의미한 상관관계가 있었다. 또한, 삶의 질에 영향을 미치는 요인은 수면정도(β=.214), 구조화된 일상(β=.203), 목적의식(β=.343), 과거방향(β=.244)순으로 나타났다. 결론 : 결론적으로 구조화된 시간 내에서 작업을 하고 있는 대학생의 경우 만족스러운 삶의 질을 보이기에 어려움이 있고, 이러한 삶의 질 저하의 요인은 구조화된 일상, 목적 의식, 과거 방향, 그리고 수면 정도가 영향을 주는 것으로 분석되었다.

릴레이 수명 연장 방법에 의한 HID램프용 디밍 자기식 안정기의 구현 (The realization of the Dimmable Magnetic Ballast for HID Lamps by the Life Time Extension Method of the Relays)

  • The dimmable magnetic ballast which applies the variable inductor needs a switching process for the dimming process, and it consists of mechanical relays because of costs and reliabilities. However, it is hard to operate with correct timing in mechanical relay, so relays reduce their own life time in inductive applications. Moreover this creates a destructive problem at the switching process. The life time reduction of relays means the life time reduction of the ballast. Thus, in this paper, we described the problem at the witching process in the dimmable magnetic ballast with a variable inductor, which consists of relays and the soft AC switching method in order to solve the problems. As result, we achieved the improvement of the life time and reliability of the ballast.

자주포 경제수명 결정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Determination for the Economic Life-Time of a Self-Propelled Artillery)

  • This research paper deals with the problem of determining the optimal life time in terms of economical sense for a self-propelled artillery. Equivalent Annual Cost Method(EACM) is used to evaluate the optimal life time, based on the acquisition cost, and the operation and maintenance cost. It is assumed that the operation and maintenance cost includes the costs for spare parts, petroleum and ammunition for training. From the result of this study, the optimal life time for a self-propelled artillery is between 13.9 years and 16.1 years with 95% confidence interval.

  • In this paper a computer aided analysis method is proposed for durability assessment in the early design stages using dynamic analysis, stress analysis and fatigue life prediction method. From dynamic analysis of a vehicle suspension system, dynamic load time histories of a suspension component are calculated. From the dynamic load time histories and the stress of the suspension component, a dynamic stress time history at the critical location is produced using the superposition principle. Using linear damage law and cycle counting method, fatigue life cycle is calculated. The predicted fatigue life cycle is verified by experimental durability tests.

  • This paper deals with a study on improvement of long-time creep life prediction of steam turbine rotor steels by using initial strain method as a new approach at high temperatures of 500 to 70$0^{\circ}C$ . The main result shows that the inital strain method could be reliably utilized to predict and evaluate the long-time creep life as creep rupture strength and that the predicting equation for long-time creep life under a certain creep stress at a certain high temperature could be empirically derived out from each initial instantaneous strain measured.

성별에 따른 여가생활에 관한 연구 (A Study on Leisure Life in Accordance with Gender)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide basic information necessary for improving the satisfaction and quality of leisure life and thereon propose better leisure life programs in accordance with gender. For the purpose, this researcher made a questionnaire survey of 560 persons between July and December 2003 to know the trend and satisfaction of their leisure life in accordance with their gender. Results of the study can be summarized as below; First. the extent to which the surveyed persons participated in leisure life was highest in terms of other leisure activities, followed by self-development. viewing activities, sports activities and journey in order. The satisfaction of leisure life participation by those surveyed persons was scored 3 or over in average, meaning 'generally satisfied'. The time of leisure life participation was most spent in other leisure activities and self-development. Expenses of the participation were highest in terms of other leisure activities. followed by self-development and viewing activities in order. Second, differences in sub-areas of leisure life were analyzed in accordance with gender to show that the degree and time of participation in viewing activities and self-development, expenses of sports activity participation and the degree of participation in journey and others were significantly different between the opposite sexes which were surveyed here. Men were higher in the degree, time and expenses of the participation than women. Third. effects of gender on the satisfaction of leisure life as a whole were determined here to show that men were higher in such satisfaction when they were more satisfactorily participating in sport activities while in case of women, when they were spending more time in sport activities. Women showed a higher satisfaction of leisure life as a whole when they were more frequently and satisfactorily participating in other leisure activities. Based on these results, the researcher proposed effective leisure life programs in accordance with gender.
