  • The marine life culture contents added with fun and learning factors are created in a 3D space, and the development of augmented reality contents concerning marine life resources in islands and the utilization method of experience-based learning are proposed. As a WYSIWYG-based authoring tool, an augmented reality authoring tool was made to easily use a authoring tool through a node structure and drag & drop. Marine life contents add the animation effect through a marker and event factors such as the change of modeling data, and also, they support real experience-based learning with the narration of marine life. Based on around 50 species of marine animals augmented reality contents, a marine animal AR book can be utilized as a textbook for elementary school classes, and as a 3D image education utilizing augmented reality, it enhances a learning effect by allowing realistic observation, various ways of thinking, and the maximum flow.

  • Purpose: This study explores the experience of university life in an unfamiliar department by first-year graduate students. Method: Data were collected from participants through focus group interviews between July and August 2013 using phenomenological research methods. Colsizzi's method was used for analysis after the institutional review board of the university approved the study and informed consent was obtained from the participants. All interviews were recorded on an MP3 recorder and transcribed. Results: The analysis revealed 51 meanings that were categorized by 15 key words into 6 themes: "sense of isolation," "feeling of solidarity," "limitations," "benefits," "overcoming" and "renewing." Conclusion: First-year graduate students experience both positive and negative feelings toward "university life"; however, they eventually overcome their difficulties and adapt to the conditions of their field of study and new department.

  • This paper analyzes causal relationship between rural experience and settlement. Structural Equation Modeling is the combination of factor analysis and multiple regression analysis which can explain causal relation between factors. Rural perception factor has conceptualized positive sector (attitude, values) and negative sector (perceived risk, sentiment). Statistically significant causality results are as follows. People think about migration into rural when they have high level of attitude about rural but fear of rural life make avoid migration into rural. When people have fear of rural life, they also have bad feeling about rural infrastructure and facility. Attitude of rural, values of rural and low fear of rural life gives positive influence to satisfaction. Satisfaction gives positive influence to migration into rural.

  • With the development of new technologies, virtual reality (VR) is emerging as a new consumer marketing platform. Yet, only a few studies have investigated VR in the consumption context. The current research explores how experiencing a product through VR influences consumer attitude and purchase intention for the product. Although assessing products in real life is believed to be more diagnostic than that through VR, the present research revealed that experiencing a product through VR could lead to a more positive attitude toward and higher purchase intention for the product. We also demonstrated that "enjoyment" has a mediating effect while evaluating the product through VR. To compare product experience through VR to that in real life, we employed the HTC Vive VR system to implement a VR environment. In the VR condition, participants evaluated plastic building blocks using a VR headset and a motion controller; and in the real life (reality) condition, they evaluted plastic building blocks printed using a 3D printer to make them look exactly the same as the blocks used in the VR condition. Finally, implications and suggestions are discussed.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effects of generativity and ego-integration on the relationship between leisure activity experience and life satisfaction after retirement, and to clarify the structural relationship between variables. In this study, SPSS for window 21.0 program r and AMOS 18.0 were used. First, correlation analysis was performed among the main variables to investigate the relationship between variables. Next, confirmatory factor analysis and fit of hypothesis model were confirmed. Finally, the bootstrapping procedure was conducted to verify the significance of the indirect effect. The main results of this study are as follows. First, leisure activity experience, life satisfaction, generativity and ego-integration were statistically correlated. Second, in the research model, there was a double-mediated effect of the generativity and ego-integration in the married couple's leisure experience and life satisfaction after retirement. The indirect effect that affects life satisfaction was found to be greater through mediation. This study has limitations in collecting data on retirees who have retirement experience or retired husbands who have. The reason for this is that there is a difference in the sense of life satisfaction between the couple and their spouse, and the significance of the path between the variables may also differ. Therefore, the follow-up study suggests the necessity of analyzing only the couple.

  • Purpose: This study aimed to understand and explain the essences and structures of the experience of Korean nursing students' college life who have defected from North Korea. Korea. Methods: The data were collected in 2012 through individual in-depth interviews using open-ended questions. A total of 6 nursing students who have escaped from North Korea participated in the study. Each interview lasted about 2 hours. Verbatim transcripts were analyzed using Phenomenological analysis. Results: Four theme clusters emerged by the analysis using Collaizzi's method: a dream of passing, the stern realities of life, out of the frying pan into the fire, and passion for my dream. These theme clusters illustrate that although most participants faced very strange and strenuous situations in most aspects of college life, each of them had hope to be an a good nurse in the future. The essence of the experience of participants was "living as a star in the black night". Conclusion: This study provides deep understanding of college life of nursing students who defected from North Korea. Based on the results of the study, the Korean government, society, and college should support refugees in order to help settle well in Korean society.
