  • The language and the gestures of a teacher, generally, have a great influence on the effect of a lesson. This is because subject content is transferred to students by teachers' language and gestures. In the science lessons which focus on experiments, the language and gestures of both students and teachers will help the learning of scientific content. However, the role of gestures, despite its importance, has rarely been investigated in science education research. The role of gestures of students and teachers is a much needed area of study. This study investigated the gestures observed in the experimental process performed by students who participated in a science exploration activity. Students' gestures play an essential role in the successful performance of the experiment. and they could function as a process of solving the contradictory situation. In addition, the demonstration and the communication of gestures should be performed very cautiously. There were a number of implications for the long-standing problem of the relation between the understanding of science concepts and the performance of experiments.

  • Owing to pandemic (COVID-19), the traditional face-to-face education method has been changed to the non-face-to-face real-time online education methods. Using a real time-based video conference system, synchronous education can be adopted by face-to-face class easily. Specially, it is very important to minimize the difference in learning effects between face-to-face and non-face-to-face in Entrepreneurship education. In this study, in order to derive the factors that affect the satisfaction of learners in synchronous online education, authors collected data from learners taking a synchronous entrepreneurship course. Through previous research, learned the reality of education and the composition of lessons. Spatiotemporal effectiveness, mentor ability, and educational environment influence learning satisfaction. PLS-SEM results revealed that it was confirmed that only spatiotemporal effects affect learner satisfaction. However, the education environment (fluent operation and convenience of function use of real-time based online conference system) effect teaching presence, class structure, and spatiotemporal effects. Through this research, we hope to provide theoretical and practical support for developing effective teacher activities, proper lesson structure, convenient function of the conference system, and learner-centered online learning environment when developing synchronous online classes.

  • Treatment chart(醫案) is a document that doctors have described about their own practice. Western doctor's chart has a prescribed form, but otherwise chart of oriental medicine is a free form. As It has no prescribed form, doctors of oriental medicine have recorded important facts that they think especially. For example, details are patient's name, age, sex and address, the name of disease, state of pulse and tongue, state of secretions(stools, urine, perspiration, etc.), color of face, state of sleep and thirst, diagnosis, prescription, improvement of herb, teaching, and so forth. If we study on chart of oriental medicine, we draw a lesson about practices of a famous doctors. Through that we can increase ability of diagnosis and adaptation to circumstance, make ourselves familiar with use of past prescriptions and way of changing prescription, and learn narrative story of past doctors' personal experience, their though and teaching. As chart of oriental medicine had many methods to take a measure to meet the false situation, we can learn that. Through chart of oriental medicine, we can improve our practice of oriental medicine.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop and evaluate a nutrition education program to prevent breakfast skipping for elementary school children. Subjects were 102 5th grade students (51 boys, 51 girls) as the "education group" and 200 5th grade students (102 boys, 98 girls) as the "non-education group." The nutrition education program consisted of 4 lessons over an 8-week period. Teaching materials, including flash animation, panel, PowerPoint, and a bingo game, were developed for this education program. After education, there was significant increase in the percentage of students who had eaten breakfast every day, understood that breakfast has a great effect on health, and will eat breakfast every day in the education group compared to non-education group. Parents' positive behavior toward daily breakfast preparation and the percentage of parents who had their children eat breakfast every day increased significantly. The students of the education group responded positively to the questions of the benefit and importance of nutrition education. The flash animation received high marks, especially in terms of understanding of contents, content clarity, emphasis of the core content, delivery of necessary knowledge, and applicability of breakfast. This study shows the effectiveness of a 4-lesson nutrition education taught during an 8-week time period to induce changes in recognizing the importance of breakfast and in behavior toward breakfast consumption.
