  • Recently, Zhang et al.(Fuzzy Sets and Systems 147(2004) 475-485) proved Fatou's lemma and Lebesgue dominated convergence theorem under some conditions of fuzzy measure. In this note, we show that these conditions of fuzzy measure is essential to prove Fatou's lemma and Lebesgue dominated convergence theorem by examples

  • It is known that the classical Fatou's lemma and Lebesgue convergence theorem do not require the assumption that J1. is finite. In this note, we show that the assumption $\mu$(X) < $\infty$ cannot be replaced with a weaker assumption to prove Fatou's lemma and Lebesgue convergence theorem for a sequence of set-valued measurable function suggested by Zhang and Wang (Fuzzy Sets and Systems 56(1993) 237-241).

  • In this paper, a boundary version of the $Carath{\acute{e}}odory^{\prime}s$ inequality is investigated. We shall give an estimate below ${\mid}f^{\prime}(b){\mid}$ according to the first nonzero Taylor coefficient of about two zeros, namely z = 0 and $z_1{\neq}0$. The sharpness of these estimates is also proved.

  • In this paper, the oscillation and asymptotic stability behavior of a third order linear impulsive equation are investigated. A lemma is presented to deal with the sign relation of the nonoscillatory solutions and their derived functions. By the lemma explicit sufficient conditions are obtained for all solutions either oscillating or asymptotically tending to zero. Two illustrative examples are proposed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the conditions.

  • In this paper we investigate some situations in connection with two exact sequences of fuzzy linear maps. Also we obtain a generalization of the work [Theorem4] of Pan [5], and we study the analogies of The Four Lemma and The Five Lemma of homological algebra. Finally we obtain a special exact sequence.

  • In this paper, we give a result that maximum principles including Zorn's lemma can be regarded as various types of fixed point theorems. Our main application is that the well-known ordering principles in nonlinear analysis including the Bishop-Phelps argument and a number of its generalizations can be converted to fixed point theorems and vice versa. Consequently, we obtain new results and unify many known results.

  • This paper investigates some results (Theorems 2.1-2.3, below) concerning certain classes of analytic and univalent functions, involving the familiar fractional derivative operators. We state interesting consequences arising from the main results by mentioning the cases connected with the starlikeness, convexity, close-to-convexity and quasi-convexity of geometric function theory. Relevant connections with known results are also emphasized briefly.

  • Let $D_1,\;D_2$ be convex domains in complex normed spaces $E_1,\;E_2$ respectively. When a mapping $f\;:\;D_1{\rightarrow}D_2$ is holomorphic with f(0) = 0, we obtain some results like the Schwarz lemma. Furthermore, we discuss a condition whereby f is linear or injective or isometry.

  • A uniform study towards normality is provided for topological spaces. Following Császár, 𝛄-normality and 𝛄(𝜃)-normality are introduced and investigated. For 𝛄 ∈ 𝚪13, 𝛄-normality is found to satisfy Urysohn's lemma and provide partition of unity. Several existing variants of normality such as 𝜃-normality, 𝚫-normality etc. are shown to be particular cases of 𝛄(𝜃)-normality. In this process, 𝛄-regularity and 𝛄(𝜃)-regularity are introduced and studied. Several important characterizations of all these notions are provided.
