Teaching is communication between instructor and students. The learning outcomes can be enhanced by active learning of students. However, there are many obstacles to effective learning below, such as lecture notes authored by instructor, passive student participation, and paper-based homework. In this paper, we propose an effective method for enhancing learning effect through constructing learner ontologies in which knowledge discovered by students is conceptualized and organized. The learning ontology is composed of a teacher ontology and many learner ontologies. The learning ontology is used in discussion, visual presentation, and knowledge sharing between instructor and students. We used the learning ontology in two lectures in practice and learned that the learning ontology enhances learning effect through analysis of feedbacks of students.
This paper deals with nanoethics as a sort of extension of engineering ethics utilizing various books, articles, and reports concerning historical, social, and ethical aspects of nanotechnology. After a brief examination on the place and development process of nanotechnology, ethical issues on nanotechnology are analysed including safety problem, impact on environment, violating privacy, social inequity, military use, and human enhancement. The basic principles on nanoethics are proposed such as promotion of public understanding, construction of participatory governance, contribution to sustainable development, commitment to precautionary principle, and compliance with research integrity. Lastly, integrated method in nanoethics education is illustrated putting lecture model, investigation model and discussion model together. This paper can provide the contents available for nanoethics education, and make a basis for the sound development of nanotechnology.

The Change of environment related to human life, science, technology, economics and education level have much effect on home life. Therefore Home Economics Education have to get out of past trite concept that it is only a method to become good housewife and take the role to widen the human life and to grow creative power as a academic part of science. For these, Home Economics should become life education, life education of secondary school has to have relation to lifelong education. To achieve effective result from Home Economics Education, the object, system and methods of Home Economics Education, the object, system and methods of Home Economics Education have to be improved and teaching material has to be studied systematically. As an object of aboves and education planning in clothing is made for deep understanding the study of Home Economics Teaching Material. And to understand the real state, made some questions, had interview with 63-teaching in Kangweon province and show the results. 1) Tab 1~20 are the level of recognition about object, teaching content, time structure of secondary school. The object is recognized as cultural education and basic job education. 2) Tab 21~30 show the real state of textbook and study of it. To take effect from school lecture other teaching material except textbook is required. 3) Tab 31~40 are the result of sewing and handicraft practice. Sewing and handicraft needs much time and almost all time is used in practicing. 4) Tab 42~54 are the planning of textbook study for effective teaching, self-estimation and teaching material making is also considered. All above is collarless blouse’s planning. Base on above result, all objects of clothing life should be teached. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the learning effect of a standardized patient managed instruction program for a clinical maternity nursing course. Methods: The SP managed instruction was made for clinical cases in intrapartum and postpartum nursing care. The SP managed instruction was evaluated by using a quasi-experimental, nonequivalent control group post-test design with separate classes of students attending clinical maternity nursing classes at a nursing school in Incheon. Control groups were taught by traditional lecture/model method and experimental groups were taught by SP managed instruction. Data was collected from September 2009 to February 2010. Results: 1. There was no significant difference between the experimental group and control group in identifying relevant data (z=-1.418, p=.156) and necessary nursing skills performance (z=-.643, p=.520) for intrapartum nursing care. In addition, there was no significant difference between the two groups in identifying relevant data (z=-.264, p=.782) and necessary nursing skill (z=-.342, p=.732) for postpartum nursing care. 2. In clinical nursing skill performances the total score was statistically significantly higher in the experimental group than the control group (intrapartum care z=-4.181, p=.000, postpartum care z=-4.279, p=.000). 3. There was a statistically significant difference between the two groups (intrapartum care z=-3.731, p=.000, postpartum care z=-4.066, p=.000). Conclusion: In conclusion, the SP methodis effective in teaching clinical maternity nursing for student nurses and it is necessary to develop SP instruction courses for many areas in the clinical nursing education field.

It is needless to say that the computer and/or computational engineering has contributed much to the development of the earthquake engineering such as seismic design of structures in providing good tools to researchers and engineers. However, it has been also pointed out that the proper selection of numerical analysis and/or computer program is very important for engineers in utilizing it in the design of structures, because a numerical analysis method is based upon its own coverage. A rigorous analysis does not always gives a correct solution in a sence of engineering or of structural safety, but, some times, it gives mathematically rigorous but unrealistic solution. Therefore, numerical analysis should be performed with engineering judgement or experiments specially in the field of earthquake engineering because this field has large uncertainties on predicting the effect of earthquake on structures. This paper is based on the presented paper at the Bertero Symposium held in January 31an4 February 1 at Berkeley, California, USA which was entitled "Needs to Evaluate Real Seismic Performance of Buildings-Lessons from 1995 Hyogoken-Nambu Earthquake-". The lessons for buildings from the damage due to the Hyogoken-Nambu Earthquake are necessity to develop more rational seismic design codes based upon a performance-based design concept, and to evaluate seismic performance of existing buildings. In my keynote lecture at the Korean Association for Computational Structural Engineering, the history of seismic design and use of structural analysis in Japan, the lessons for buildings from the Hyogoken-Nambu Earthquake, the building damage due to the earthquake, the reasons why the seismic retrofit has not been implemented much, the responses to the lessons from the earthquake, the Network Committee for promotion of seismic retrofit of buildings, the Law for promotion of seismic retrofit of buildings and the implementation of seismic retrofit in Japan are presented.

Har dmaterials such as cemented carbides with or without coated layer, cermets, ceramics and diamond or c-BN high pressure sintered compact are used for cutting tools, wear -resistant parts, rock drilling bits and/or high pressure vessels. These hardmaterials contain not only hard phase, but also second consituent as the element for forming ductile phase and/or sintering aid, and the mechanical properties of each material depend on (1) the amount of the second constituent as well as (2) the grain size of the hard phase. The hardness of each material mainly depends on these two factors. The fracture strength, however, largely depends on other microstructur a1 factors as well as the above two factors. For all hardmaterials, the fracture strength is consider ably affected by (3) the size of microstructur a1 defect which acts as the fracture source. In cemented carbides, the following factors which are generated mainly due to the addition of the second constituent are also important; (4) the variation of the carbon content in the normal phase region free from V-phase and graphite phase, (5) the precipitation of $Co_3$ during heating at about $800^{\circ}C$,(6) the domain size of binder phase, and (7) the formation of ${\beta}$-free layer or Co-rich layer near the surface of sintered compacts. For cemented carbides coated with thin hard substance, the important factors are as follows; (8) the kind of coated substance, (9) the formation of ${\eta}$-phase layer at the interface between coated layer and substrate, (10) the type of residual stress (tension or compression) in the coated layer which depends on the kind of coating method (CVD or PVD), and (11) the properties of the substrate, and (12) the combination, coherency and periodicity of multi-layers. In the lecture, the details of these factors and their effect on the strength will be explained.

The objective of this research is to acquire basic data to develop a program for professional consultants who can consult and provide advice for rural women's small business entrepreneur. In this research, startup business educational programs and 10 major related textbooks in Korea were analyzed, and a survey was conducted in which 71 owners of government funded rural small business responded. The major findings are as follows; First, most programs were targeting city females and were providing basic information mostly using lecture method over a few days. And no programs for rural women's small business could be found. Second, no textbooks dealing with rural women's small business could be found and the contents of each textbook differed significantly even though there were a few common points. Third, the result of the survey indicated that rural women's small business entrepreneurs had difficulty especially in acquiring necessary initial funds and raw materials, selling products, and judging the possibility of business success. And, there was significant difference in importance and perceived knowledge over 36 business know-hows in business startup area among the respondents. Based on the results, the followings could be recommended; First, educational programs for rural women's small business entrepreneurs should use a unique and different approach than other industries. Also, it is necessary to foster startup consultants especially for the rural women's small business entrepreneurs and to develop a delivery system for the startup educational programs. Second, contents of educational programs need to be selectively included depending on the level of uses. Finally, a workbook should be developed so that entrepreneur candidates can actually practice rather than just acquiring basic information and superficial knowledge during the participation.

Recently, with the development of Internet technology and multi-media technology, the Internet is going to develop in many areas, a new application areas. In particular, in the area of education, has made a Epoch-making development in the Internet applications, it has presented the instructional methods of the new paradigm. Study using the online learning, instructional method of a conventional traditional new proposal that deviates from the off-line teaching, Unlike the existing off-line learning, without being bound by time and space, in terms of anytime, anywhere it is possible to attend the lecture, is a very efficient learning. Online lectures Despite many advantages, and containing a number of problems. In terms of space of the learning is performed on-line, there is a disadvantage that the student management and learning, the reliability of evaluation missing number. In this study, out of such a variety of problems, concentration to induce an active learning attitude of learners, learners of learning who attempt to increase the reliability and using the face detection system of attendance learning It proposed a degree system.
This research aims to strengthen the ethical decision-making capability of nursing students, and involves 82 fourth-year undergraduate nursing students in a nonequivalent control group pre-post quasi experimental research design from March 4 to June 3, 2013. Experimental group took a discussion-based class and control group took a traditional lecture-based class and we identified the differences in ethical knowledge, class satisfaction and ethical values between the two groups. Experimental group had higher scores for ethical knowledge after the class. There was no significant change in ethical values after the class in the two groups. The experimental group achieved significantly higher scores for the comprehension of class contents and practical application within the class satisfaction criteria. So we propose to use this model as an effect teaching method to apply ethical principles in nursing practice.
