비고츠키의 근접발달영역을 고려한 수학과 교수·학습 프로그램연구 (A Study on Mathematics Teaching and Learning Program based on Zone of Proximal Development of Vygotsky)

  • There has been researches for effective education. Among them, many researchers are striving to apply Zone of Proximal Development of Vygotsky which is emphasizing the social interaction in the field of teaching and learning. Researchers usually research based on individual or small group of students. However the math class in school relies on system that one teacher teach many students in reality. So this research will look for the effect that the teaching and learning program based on Zone of Proximal Development of Vygotsky by designing the teaching and learning program which is based on scaffolding structuring to overcome the zone of proximal development in many-students class. The results of this research are as follows: First, the studying program considered the theory of Vygotsky has a positive effect on improving the mathematical achievement of elementary student. Second, the studying program considered the theory of Vygotsky has a positive effect on improving the student's studying attitude upon mathematics.

교역지대 내에서 공유된 배움의 다양한 변주: 목공 학습 공동체 교사들의 사례를 중심으로 (Variations of Shared Learning in Trading Zone: Focus on the Case of Teachers in the 'Learning Community of Woodworking')

  • 이 연구에서는 '목공과학교육연구회'라는 교사연구회의 사례를 중심으로 서로 다른 배경의 교사들의 모여 형성한 교역지대 내에서 이루어지는 배움의 공유와 이 배움이 교육현장에서 다양하게 변주되는 과정을 탐색하였다. 이를 위해 '목공과학교육연구회'에서 활동한 8인의 교사들과 심층 면담을 하며 자료를 수집하고, 근거이론 패러다임 모형에 따라서 이 자료를 질적으로 분석하였다. 근거이론 모형에 따른 분석 결과 교사 연구회 실천의 인과적 조건은 '교역지대 진입의 다양한 맥락'이었고, 중심현상은 '교역지대에서의 배움'이었다. 맥락적 조건은 '경계물로서의 목공과 나만의 적용경험'으로 나타났고, 작용/상호작용 전략으로는 '다양한 현장 속 실천 노력과 영향요인들'이었다. 중재적 조건은 '교육현장에서의 실천 노력'이었다. 결과적으로 패러다임 모형의 결과는 '교역지대에서 공유한 배움의 새로운 실천'으로 나타났다. 또한 선택코팅 결과 교사 연구회의 실천은 '비교과 창의 체험형', '진로교육형', '교과교육형', '학교경영형'이라는 네가지 유형으로 나타남을 규명하였다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 교사연구회라는 교역지대에서 이루어지는 교사들의 공유된 배움의 실천은 이들의 배움의 욕구를 충족시킬 뿐만아니라, 교사 개개인의 맥락 속에서 다양한 교수적 실천으로 변주되며 교육의 다양성과 질의 향상을 이끌 수 있음을 제언하였다.

  • 딥러닝과 같은 기계학습 기술은 최근에 광범위하게 활용되고 있다. 이러한 딥러닝은 최근 낮은 컴퓨팅 성능을 가지는 임베디드 기기 및 엣지 디바이스에서 보안성 향상을 위해 ARM TrustZone과 같은 신뢰 수행 환경에서 수행되는데, 이와 같은 실행 환경에서는 제한된 컴퓨팅 자원으로 인해 정상적인 수행에 방해를 받는다. 이를 극복하기 위해 DNN 모델 partitioning을 통해 TEE의 제한된 memory를 효율적으로 사용하며 DNN 모델을 보호하는 TPMP를 제안한다. TPMP는 최적화된 memory 스케줄링을 통해 기존의 memory 스케줄링 방법으로 수행할 수 없었던 모델들을 TEE 내에서 수행하여 시스템 자원 소모를 거의 증가시키지 않으면서 DNN의 높은 기밀성을 달성한다.

미래학습에서의 Learning by Teaching 적용가능성 (Reconsidering the Concept and Potential of Learning by Teaching)

  • Learning by teaching (LbT) has long been recognized as an important learning behavior that constructs meaning based on interactions between learners. This study aimed to explore the meaning of LbT as an important learning activity for future implementation in education. LbT is based on the cultural historical activity theory and sociocultural learning theory, as developed by scholars including Vygotsky. These frameworks value the construction of meaning based on language, and LbT is reported to be effective in constructing meaning. In addition, within the zone of proximal development posited by Vygotsky, learning through interaction between learners improves academic achievement, higher-order thinking, deep learning, and reflective learning. LbT also promotes students' learning presence, and strengthens various competencies such as collaboration and communication skills. Interactive behavior between learners in the form of LbT has been explored as an approach to teaching and learning, with methods including peer learning, peer tutoring, peer teaching, peer mentoring, Lernen durch Lehren, and peer-assisted learning. LbT has also been applied as a learning method. In the future, LbT has boundless potential to improve learning through activities such as flipped learning or online learning based on interactions between learners.

심층학습을 이용한 전이대 두께 예측 (Thickness Estimation of Transition Layer using Deep Learning)

  • CO2 주입 후 저류층은 암석물리 특성이 변하므로 이 연구에서는 저류층을 물성이 선형으로 변하는 전이대 지층모델로 구성한다. 울프 반사계수 함수는 전이대 상하지층의 속도비, 주파수, 전이대 두께 함수로 구성되어 있어 저류층 두께나 해저면 전이대 두께를 추정하는데 활용할 수 있다. 이 연구에서는 심층학습을 이용하여 전이대 두께를 예측 방법을 제안한다. 심층학습을 적용하기 위해 사암 저류층, 셰일 덮개암으로 구성한 인공 전이대 지층모델에 두께에 따른 울프 반사계수 모델링을 수행하고 시간-스펙트럼 영상자료를 확보하였다. 두께별 시간-주파수 스펙트럼 영상과 중합단면도 트레이스에서 구한 시간-주파수 스펙트럼 비교로부터 구한 두께 추정결과는 항상 정확하게 전이대의 두께를 제시하지는 못하였다. 그러나 다양한 환경에서 학습자료를 확보하고 정확도를 높이면 현장자료적용이 가능할 것으로 본다.

Vygotsky의 근접발달이론에 의한 사회적 상호작용수업이 동기화학습전략 및 학업성취도에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Scaffolding Instruction by Zone of Proximal Development on Motivated Learning Strategies and Academic Achievement)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of scaffolding instruction on motivated learning strategies and academic achievement. Subjects of this study were 96 middle school first grade students in Busan, who were randomly assigned to two experimental group and one control group. The one experimental group had received scaffolding instruction by teacher, and the other experimental group had received scaffolding instruction by the interaction of peers. Control group were given traditional lessons only by the method of lecture. Students were given English Academic Achievement Test, Motivated Strategies of Learning Questionnaire. T test and ANOVA were used to analyze date. The results of this study showed that scaffolding instruction by ZPD turned out to have a positive influence on motivated learning strategies and academic achievement.

  • The present design, which is the result of English Zone Project for 'I' Girls' High School in Yeonsu dong, Incheon, purposed to produce atmosphere like a cafe so that students can attempt more comfortable and diverse learning methods, breaking away from the structure and atmosphere of traditional language labs while providing functions such as experiential learning, teaching learning and native speaker conversation. In addition, it applied colors close to primary colors so that students throw away their fixed idea of language lab as a special class and access it easily at any time. Moreover, it was designed for the maximum changeability using foldable and portable furniture so that various types of group study can be performed. Ultimately the design project is expected to suggest methods of experiential learning distinguished from existing knowledge delivering education as it provides teaching learning methods beyond simple interior design.

Air-Launched Weapon Engagement Zone Development Utilizing SCG (Scaled Conjugate Gradient) Algorithm

  • Various methods have been developed to predict the flight path of an air-launched weapon to intercept a fast-moving target in the air. However, it is also getting more challenging to predict the optimal firing zone and provide it to a pilot in real-time during engagements for advanced weapons having new complicated guidance and thrust control. In this study, a method is proposed to develop an optimized weapon engagement zone by the SCG (Scaled Conjugate Gradient) algorithm to achieve both accurate and fast estimates and provide an optimized launch display to a pilot during combat engagement. SCG algorithm is fully automated, includes no critical user-dependent parameters, and avoids an exhaustive search used repeatedly to determine the appropriate stage and size of machine learning. Compared with real data, this study showed that the development of a machine learning-based weapon aiming algorithm can provide proper output for optimum weapon launch zones that can be used for operational fighters. This study also established a process to develop one of the critical aircraft-weapon integration software, which can be commonly used for aircraft integration of air-launched weapons.

Adult hippocampal neurogenesis and related neurotrophic factors

  • New neurons are continually generated in the subgranular zone of the dentate gyrus and in the subventricular zone of the lateral ventricles of the adult brain. These neurons proliferate, differentiate, and become integrated into neuronal circuits, but how they are involved in brain function remains unknown. A deficit of adult hippocampal neurogenesis leads to defective spatial learning and memory, and the hippocampi in neuropsychiatric diseases show altered neurogenic patterns. Adult hippocampal neurogenesis is not only affected by external stimuli but also regulated by internal growth factors including BDNF, VEGF and IGF-1. These factors are implicated in a broad spectrum of pathophysiological changes in the human brain. Elucidation of the roles of such neurotropic factors should provide insight into how adult hippocampal neurogenesis is related to psychiatric disease and synaptic plasticity.

  • The present design, which is English Zone Development Project for 'G' Elementary School at Seo gu, Incheon, contained various booths for experiential learning corners as well as spaces of teaching learning through group study, dramas and role plays, breaking away from the structure and atmosphere of traditional language labs, and at the same time it include a school building as an affiliated space where the whole students can gather for discussion and learning. The general design concept adopted the atmosphere of an exotic street, installing five theme booths (airport, bank, hospital, book/game store and shop) along the wall and applying the image of road to the floor in order to perform role plays. The blackboard and furniture were also designed to produce the atmosphere of street so that elementary students take interest and actively participate in learning.
