A Study on the Development of Core Competency Diagnostic Tools for Professors at A' University

  • Purpose: This study attempted to systematize a support system that can enhance teaching core competencies by establishing a scale for diagnosing teaching core competencies at University A. Research design, data and methodology : To this end, the first Delphi was conducted With six experts related to university core competency modeling research by extracting factors and designing structured questionnaires through a literature review process that collects and analyzes prior research related to domestic and foreign university teaching competency. The derived questions were diagnosed on 27 professors, and independent sample t-verification and ANOVA were conducted using SPSS 24.0 for analysis by key teaching competency factors. Result: What is the standard suitability of KMO. It was shown as 929 (KMO standard conformity value is close to 1), and Barlett's sphericity verification showed χ2=5773.295, df=1081, p<.It appeared as 001 and confirmed that it was suitable for conducting factor analysis. Conclusions: The core competencies of A University teachers were set based on the educational goals of A University, such as basic teaching competency, creative teaching competency, practical teaching competency, and communication teaching competency. This means that the concept and factors of the core competency of professors are likely to change, and in the end, continuous efforts to upgrade and apply research on core competency of professors are essential to quickly and organically respond to changes in competency required to increase the competitiveness of universities.

분리된 보컬을 활용한 음색기반 음악 특성 탐색 연구 (Investigation of Timbre-related Music Feature Learning using Separated Vocal Signals)

  • 음악에 대한 선호도는 다양한 요소들에 의해 결정되며, 추천의 이유를 보여주는 특성을 발굴하는 것은 음악 추천에 있어 중요하다. 본 논문은 가수 인식 작업을 통해 학습한 모델을 활용하여 다양한 음악적 특성을 반영하는 요소들 중 가수의 목소리 특성을 추출하는 방법을 제안한다. 배경음이 포함된 음원 역시 활용할 수 있지만, 음원에 포함된 배경음은 네트워크가 가수의 목소리를 온전하게 인식하는 것을 방해할 수 있다. 이를 해결하기 위해 본 연구에서는 음원 분리를 통해 배경음을 분리하는 사전 작업을 수행하고자 하며, SiSEC에 등장해 검증된 모델 구조를 활용하여 분리된 보컬로 이루어진 데이터 세트를 생성한다. 최종적으로 분리된 보컬을 활용하여 아티스트의 목소리를 반영하는 음색 기반 음악 특성을 발굴하고자 하며, 배경음이 분리되지 않은 음원을 활용한 기존 방법과의 비교를 통해 음원 분리의 효과를 알아보고자 한다.

  • Numbers of studies related to optimization of design of organic light emitting diodes(OLED) through machine learning are increasing. We propose the generative method of the image to assess the performance of the device combining with machine learning technique. Principle parameter regarding dark spot growth mechanism of the OLED can be the key factor to determine the long-time performance. Captured images from actual device and randomly generated images at specific time and initial pinhole state are fed into the deep neural network system. The simulation reinforced by the machine learning technique can predict the device parameters accurately and faster. Similarly, the inverse design using multiple layer perceptron(MLP) system can infer the initial degradation factors at manufacturing with given device parameter to feedback the design of manufacturing process.

Small-Scale Science를 활용한 과학 실험수업이 중3 학생들의 과학에 관련된 태도와 과학적 태도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Science-Related and Scientific Attitudes in Small-Scale Science Experimental Learning on 3rd Grade Middle School Students)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 SSS 실험수업이 중3학생들의 과학에 관련된 태도와 과학적 태도에 미치는 효과를 알아보는 것이었다. 포항에 있는 중학교에서 두 학급이 선택되었고, 두 집단으로 분류되었다: 26명으로 구성된 실험집단은 SSS를 활용한 과학 실험수업에 참가하였고, 25명으로 이루어진 비교집단은 전통적 실험수업에 참여하였다. 이 연구의 주요 시사점은 다음과 같다: SSS 실험수업은 학생들의 과학에 관련된 태도와 과학적 태도에서 실험집단에 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있었다. 그리고 과학에 관련된 태도와 과학적 태도의 하위영역에서 실험수업 전후에 유의미한 차이를 나타내었다. 반면에 비교집단에서는 유의미한 차이가 없었다. 결론적으로 SSS를 활용한 학급은 학생들의 과학에 관련된 태도와 과학적 태도 형성에 좋은 영향을 받는다는 것을 시사한다. 특히 과학교과에 대한 태도와 같은 과학에 관련된 태도의 하위요소 향상이 두드러지고, 과학적 태도의 하위요소인 호기심, 비판성, 협동성, 자진성, 끈기성, 독창성이 SSS 실험수업 후에 향상된다. 그러므로 SSS 실험수업이 적용될 때 학습태도를 개선할 수 있다.

양육신념, 부모협력 및 가정학습환경과 유아의 학교준비도 (Parental Beliefs, Parental Involvement, the Home Learning Environment and Children's School Readiness)

  • This study investigated the effects of three factors-mothers' parenting beliefs; child care-home involvement; and the home learning environment - on the school readiness of 3- to 5-year-olds. The subjects were 366 children who were enrolled in child care centers located in Seoul and the Kyoungki area, and their mothers. The Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique was employed to test the pathways to children's school readiness as indicated by the child's abilities in vocabulary, math and reading. The results showed that mothers' stronger beliefs in their responsibilities in their children's academic and behavioral development predicted greater involvement in child care and better quality in the home learning environment. Likewise, the quality of the learning environment predicted the extent of the child's readiness for school. No direct relation was found between child care involvement and the child's school readiness. The results imply that multiple factors - parental, child-care-related, and home environmental- explain the extent to which the child is prepared to adjust to scholastic life.

K 대학 신입생의 수학학습 실태와 기본 수리 능력과의 관계: 간호·치과보건계열과 컴퓨터·공학계열을 대상으로 (A study on the relationship between the mathematical learning status and basic mathematical ability of K university freshmen: for nursing, dental health, computer, and engineering departments)

  • Purpose: This study attempted to collect basic data to improve the basic repair ability of university freshmen in a world where the usage of advanced medical devices related to computer programs is now common. Methods: The collected data from 280 university freshmen enrolled in nursing, dental, and health degrees or computer and engineering degrees at K university of Gangwon-do were analyzed using the t-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis, and linear regression analysis using the IBM SPSS Statistics ver. 21.0 (IBM). Results: The mathematical learning status and the detailed factors of basic mathematical ability had a positive (+) correlation. The factors of basic mathematical ability, psychology of learning (p<0.001), method of learning (p<0.001), and propensity to learn (p<0.05) were found to be statistically significant, and the model's explanatory power was 40.0%. Conclusion: As a result of this study and considering that advanced medical devices such as computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing and three-dimensional printers are becoming more common and up-to-date in clinical settings, it is determined that nursing and dental health students require education to improve their repair skills.

기술수용모델을 이용한 사이버강의 수용의 영향요인 (A Study on Factors Affecting the Acceptance of E-Learning Class Using Technology Acceptance Model)

  • E-Learning is another way of teaching and learning. E-learning is a networked phenomenon allowing for instant revisions and distribution, and goes beyond training and instruction to the delivery of information and tools to improve performance. The benefits of e-learning are many, including cost-effectiveness, enhanced responsiveness to change, consistency, timely content, flexible accessibility, and providing customer value. The proponents of e-learning stress the importance of using communities of interest to support and enhance the learning process. They also emphasizes that people learn more effectively when they interact and are involved with other people participating in similar endeavors. Although the role of e-learning in higher education has significantly increased, the resistance to new technology by professors and lecturers in university and colleges worldwide remains high. The purpose of this study is to identify the determinants of attitude and planned behavior toward e-learning class in universities. A survey methodology was used to investigate a proposed model of influence, and structural equation modeling was used to analyze the results. The hypothesized model was largely supported by this analysis, and the overall results indicate that attitude toward e-learning systems is mostly influenced by the perceived ease of use as well as the level of perceived usefulness, where both factors are influenced by years of experiences in using cyber system and the technical support level. As in other TAM related research, it can be concluded that the perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness contribute to the future use of e-learning system.

수학적 사고 과정 관련의 평가 요소 탐색 (Evaluation Factor related to Thinking Skills and Strategies based on Mathematical Thinking Process)

  • Developing mathematical thinking skills is one of the most important goals of school mathematics. In particular, recent performance based on assessment has focused on the teaching and learning environment in school, emphasizing student's self construction of their learning and its process. Because of this reason, people related to mathematics education including math teachers are taught to recognize the fact that the degree of students'acquisition of mathematical thinking skills and strategies(for example, inductive and deductive thinking, critical thinking, creative thinking) should be estimated formally in math class. However, due to the lack of an evaluation tool for estimating the degree of their thinking skills, efforts at evaluating student's degree of mathematics thinking skills and strategy acquisition failed. Therefore, in this paper, mathematical thinking was studied, and using the results of study as the fundamental basis, mathematical thinking process model was developed according to three types of mathematical thinking - fundamental thinking skill, developing thinking skill, and advanced thinking strategies. Finally, based on the model, evaluation factors related to essential thinking skills such as analogy, deductive thinking, generalization, creative thinking requested in the situation of solving mathematical problems were developed.

과학 글쓰기를 활용한 수업이 중학생들의 과학 관련 태도, 학습 동기 및 학업 성취도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Science Writing on Middle School Students' Science - related Attitude, Learning Motivation, and Academic Achievement)

  • 본 연구에서는 과학 수업의 정리 단계에서 글쓰기를 강조한 수업이 학생들의 과학 관련 태도, 학습 동기 및 학업 성취도에 미치는 영향을 알아보았다. 경기도 소재 중학교 1개교의 2학년 학생 127명을 연구 대상으로 총 30차시에 걸쳐 수업을 진행하였다. 수업 정리 단계에서 실험반은 학습 목표와 연관된 과학 개념을 글쓰기로 정리하였고, 비교반은 문제 풀이로 정리하였다. 학생들의 과학 관련 태도는 TOSRA를 수정 보완한 과학 관련 태도 검사지, 과학 학습 동기는 PALS와 MSLQ를 수정 보완한 과학 학습 동기 검사지, 학업 성취도는 학교의 지필 평가를 이용하여 측정하였다. 본 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 과학 관련 태도 검사 결과, 과학 글쓰기 수업은 학생들의 전체적인 과학적 태도 함양에 유의미한 효과가 있었다(p<.05). 특히, 하위 영역에서는 학생들의 '과학 탐구에 대한 태도'와 '과학 수업의 즐거움', ' 과학에 대한 적극성'에 유의미한 효과가 있었다(p<.05). 둘째, 과학 학습 동기 검사 결과, 과학 글쓰기 수업은 학생들의 전체적인 학습 동기를 유의미하게 향상시켰으며(p<.05), 하위 영역에서는 '과제에 대한 가치'와 '자기 효능감'에 효과가 있었다. 셋째, 과학 글쓰기를 활용한 수업은 학생들의 학업 성취도 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다(p<.05). 특히 상위 수준의 학업 성취도 집단에 더 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

Severity Analysis for Occupational Heat-related Injury Using the Multinomial Logit Model

  • Background: Workers are often exposed to hazardous heat due to their work environment, leading to various injuries. As a result of climate change, heat-related injuries (HRIs) are becoming more problematic. This study aims to identify critical contributing factors to the severity of occupational HRIs. Methods: This study analyzed historical injury reports from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Contributing factors to the severity of HRIs were identified using text mining and model-free machine learning methods. The Multinomial Logit Model (MNL) was applied to explore the relationship between impact factors and the severity of HRIs. Results: The results indicated a higher risk of fatal HRIs among middle-aged, older, and male workers, particularly in the construction, service, manufacturing, and agriculture industries. In addition, a higher heat index, collapses, heart attacks, and fall accidents increased the severity of HRIs, while symptoms such as dehydration, dizziness, cramps, faintness, and vomiting reduced the likelihood of fatal HRIs. Conclusions: The severity of HRIs was significantly influenced by factors like workers' age, gender, industry type, heat index , symptoms, and secondary injuries. The findings underscore the need for tailored preventive strategies and training across different worker groups to mitigate HRIs risks.
