본 연구는 대학기숙사의 전반적인 시설수준이 거주 학생들의 학업성취도에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 이를 통하여 기숙사 특성화를 통한 지방대학의 기숙사운영에 관한 시사점을 제공하고, 나아가 인구구조 변화와 학령인구 감소에 따른 지방대학의 발전방향에 관한 가이드라인을 제시하고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 이를 위해 충청북도에 소재한 S대학의 기숙사 사례를 분석하여 다음과 같은 연구결과를 도출하였다. 먼저 대학기숙사의 전반적인 시설수준이 양호할수록 거주학생들의 학업성취도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 다음으로 대학기숙사의 개별실 공간특성에 따라 거주학생들의 학업성취도가 영향을 받음을 알 수 있었다. 특히 공동으로 생활하는 학생의 수가 많을수록 학업성취도가 낮아지는 현상을 발견할 수 있었다. 이러한 분석결과는 향후 학령인구 감소에 따라 기숙사 재원인원이 감소하게 되는 경우에는 다인실을 1인실 또는 2인실로 개조할 수 있는 가변형평면의 개발과 적용이 중요하다는 점으로 인식되어 진다.

Basic precondition for effective curriculum on learning activities to take place, the internal and external environment of the school facilities, improve the environment of the classroom space and etc. Specifically, the use of classroom space, hardly learners improve their academic motivation to achievement tend to concentrate within the party regularly scheduled class hours. Physical environment surrounding them is giving considerable impact for behavioral psychological and bodily change of the learners. In this study, we are focused on the form of the learner in the general classroom space and classroom environment that can increase the learning effect will be examined. Consequently, What is appropriate classroom environment for learning increase the concentration of elements are presented.

This study has examined middle school students' perception and practical use of the clothing life sector in the subject of Technology Home economics for middle school. The subjects of the study are 337 students attending middle schools in the city of Daegu. The results of the study have shown that the girl students make more use of each unit in the clothing part than their counterpart, and that the higher is their preference for the clothing part and the greater is their necessity for it, the greater is their use of the clothing part. Therefore, to make students more interested in learning and to make the learning more practicable, a study of teaching-learning methods should be made. Along with it, the educational environment should be improved and the contents of the clothing life education should be developed. Once these needs are met, students are expected to participate actively in class and their achievements are sure to be greater.

Nowadays application of modem achievements of information technologies in science, engineering and education is usual phenomenon. Application of these technologies allows easily creating new methods of learning of mathematics. More of new methods of creation of multimedia electronic manuals on high mathematics are founded to application of multimedia and communication opportunities of the computer. But application only multimedia and communication opportunities of the computer at creation of multimedia electronic manuals on high mathematics is insufficient to elimination of 'gap' between training and studying high mathematics. So, we offer a new way of the decision of this problem: creation of a multimedia electronic manual on high mathematics with built-in a mathematical environment MathCad in the national language.

This research is a laboratory study for the improvement of differential equation class, and the aim of this study is to propose the possibilities of applicable writing activities for differential equation courses in university. We analyzed how the writing activities can affect the improvement of abilities of the students' affective domain and cognitive domain. Although the results from the two areas did not show a big numerical improvements it proved that the writing activities have positive effects, especially for the group of lower level students. The students felt interested and became more confident with differential equation studies. Their understanding of the study has been increased further by acquiring new learning methods, including writing activities. Therefore, we conclude that teaching and learning method designed systematically to adopt writing activities improve the students' learning attitudes and achievements.

Astronomy is a popular topic for the public in term of astronomical phenomenon such as occultations, solar and lunar eclipses or meteor showers. In term of education, astronomy also is popular as one of the world Science Olympiads. Social media, as the new trend in communicating and connecting people, plays a significant role in increasing the size of the astronomy community. Beyond IYA 2009, more and more astronomy activities have been done in many places in Indonesia. New astronomy communities have been formed in several cities and public engagement is also high in social media especially on Facebook and Twitter. In this paper, we will discuss the lesson learned from astronomy outreach achievements in Indonesia and the need for citizen science projects as a distance learning tool for the public as part of astronomy development in Indonesia. We argue and propose that this project will be also important up to a regional scope.

We present solar event auto detection using deep-learning-based object detection algorithms and DeepSDO event dataset. DeepSDO event dataset is a new detection dataset with bounding boxed as ground-truth for three solar event (coronal holes, sunspots and prominences) features using Solar Dynamics Observatory data. To access the reliability of DeepSDO event dataset, we compared to HEK data. We train two representative object detection models, the Single Shot MultiBox Detector (SSD) and the Faster Region-based Convolutional Neural Network (R-CNN) with DeepSDO event dataset. We compared the performance of the two models for three solar events and this study demonstrates that deep learning-based object detection can successfully detect multiple types of solar events. In addition, we provide DeepSDO event dataset for further achievements event detection in solar physics.

웹 2.0의 발달은 우리 일상과 밀접하게 연계되어 있으며 교육전반에 다양한 변화를 일으키고 있다. 특히 새로운 학습세대는 어려서부터 자연스럽게 웹 2.0의 기술을 접하고 활용함으로써 기존의 학습세대와는 다른 교육방법의 변화를 필요로 하게 되었고, 이들의 특성을 고려한 교육방법 중의 하나로 위키 기반 협동학습은 최근 많이 연구되고 있는 분야이다. 본 논문에서는 사회과에서 위키 기반 협동적 과제를 수행했을 경우 사회과에 대한 학생들의 학습태도와 그에 따른 학업성취도 향상에 관한 관계를 연구하였다.

We adopt a spirit of Problem based learning to the class of Multivariable Calculus in a school of scientifically talented students and observed effects of our teaching-learning method in the Spring Semester of 2010. Twelve students who enrolled in this class participated in this research. We have proceeded with classroom experiment for the half of semester after midterm exam so that the students could compare our teaching-learning method with usual traditional one in the subject of multivariable calculus. Especially, we investigated changes in the learning attitude and cognitive development of the students toward definition and theorem of mathematics. Each group of 4 students worked on a sheet of our well-designed structured problems of several steps in each class and presented how they understood the way of constructing new definition and related theorems. Instructor's role in this research was to guide students' activities as questioner so that students could attain the clear meanings of definitions and theorems by themselves. We firstly analyzed students' process of mathematization of definition through observing their discussions and presentations as well as their achievements in the quizzes and final exams. Secondly, we analyzed students' class-diaries collected at the end of each class in addition to pre/post surveys.

본 연구의 목적은 플립러닝 교수-학습법을 적용하고 대학생들의 인식과 학업성취 평가를 알아보기 위해 시도되었다. 단일군 치위생학과 재학생 27명을 대상으로 치과방사선학의 이론 수업에 4주 동안 적용하였다. 자료수집은 1학기 수업이 끝나고 이루어졌으며 수집된 자료는 SPSS 18.0을 이용하여 빈도와 평균 그리고 내용분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 수업전반에 대한 인식은 긍정적 반응이었으며 학업성취평가는 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 플립러닝-교수학습방법에 대한 학생들의 인식은 높은 긍정으로 나타났다. 효과적인 교육 프로그램임이 확인되었다. 그러나 학업성취평가 통계적으로 유의하지 않았고 학습방법에 따른 평가시스템이 달라야 할 필요가 있다고 사료된다.
