The present paper proposes a new correlation for the flow boiling heat transfer coefficients in the low flow rate condition (Re(sub)LF$\leq$200) within horizontal rectangular channels with small gaps (heights). The gap between the upper and the lower plates of each channel ranges from 0.4 to 2mm while the channel width being fixed to 20mm. Refrigerant 113 was used as the test fluid. The mass flux ranges from 50 to 200kg/㎡s and the channel walls were uniformly heated with the heat flux range of 3-15kW/㎡. The quality range covers from 0.19 to 0.76 and the flow pattern is considered to be annular. The measured heat transfer coefficients increase with the mass flux and the local quality; however the effect of the heat flux appears to be minor. At the low mass flux condition, which is more likely with the smaller gap size, the heat transfer is primarily controlled by the liquid film thickness. The proposed F factor for the heat transfer coefficient in the range of Re(sub)LF$\leq$200 well represents the experimental data within the deviation of $\pm$20%. The Kandlikars flow boiling correlation covers the higher flow-rate range(Re(sub)LF>200) within the deviation of $\pm$20%.

Covers of fashion magazines are part of the media that reflects the zeitgeist. Thus an analysis of the covers is a tool to probe the social and cultural changes of a period. This study attempts to shed light on the changes of the image of women on the cover of men's fashion magazines; this study intends to investigate the changes of status and role of women, from the past up to the present, through analyzing the meaning of the image of female models. For this purpose, this study conducts both literature and corroborative research. The period for the analysis is limited to post-1960s when female models began to appear alone on the cover of men's fashion magazine. The three decades from the 1960s through today have been analyzed according to its characteristics. The result is as follows: female models in the 1960s were shown as subjugated and ancillary to men as a commodity for the affluent materialistic civilization after World War II. In the 1970s, thanks to feminism movement, the image of resistance dominated. As a result of women's right movement, the 1980s came to witness the female image of subjective characteristics. Finally, starting in the 1990s, a mixture of subjugated, resistant, and subjective image of female models has appeared. In the contemporary culture, where the communication through images is being increased, the image of the female models in fashion magazines could work as a criterion to measure the social change.

In the communication, a reconfigurable antenna using two PIN diodes is presented for quad-band(GSM900/GSM1800/GSM1900/UMTS) mobile handset applications. The proposed antenna has a size $45{\times}11{\times}6mm^3$. By independently adjusting the on/off states of two PIN diodes located on the radiating element, the proposed structure can be operated in the PIFA and loop mode, respectively. The PIN diodes are replaced by conducting tape in order to verify the concept. In regards to the fabricated reconfigurable antenna, when operating in the PIFA mode, the measured results show that the 7 dB bandwidth is 8.62 %. which covers the GSM900(880~960 MHz) band. When operating in the loop mode, the measured results show that the 7 dB bandwidth is 26.36 %, which covers the GSM1800(1,710~1,880 MHz), GSM1900(1,850~1,990 MHz), and UMTS(1,920~2,170 MHz) bands, respectively.

Terrestrial LiDAR is a high precision positioning technique to monitor the behavior and change of structures and natural slopes, but it has depended on subjective hand intensive tasks for the classification(surface and vegetation or structure and vegetation) of positioning data. Thus it has a couple of problems including lower reliability of data classification and longer operation hours due to the surface characteristics of various geographical and natural features. In order to solve those problems, the investigator developed a technique of using the NDVI, which is a major index to monitor the changes on the surface(including vegetation), to categorize land covers, combining the results with the terrestrial LiDAR data, and classifying the results according to items. The application results of the developed technique show that the accuracy of convergence was 94% even though there was a problem with partial misclassification of 0.003% along the boundaries between items. The technique took less time for data processing than the old hand intensive task and improved in accuracy, thus increasing its utilization across a range of fields.

In this study, we evaluated and analyzed the properties of polymeric transparent films used in military vehicle covers according to weathering test. Two types of polymer films (Film A and Film B) that are mostly used for military vehicle covers were selected. The weathering treatment condition and tester are described in KS K 0706, and the following weathering times were tested: 0hour, 40hours, 160hours and 320 hours. The tensile strength, elongation and thermal decomposition behavior and optical characteristics were analyzed. The tensile strength tended to decrease - increase - decrease with increasing weathering treatment time in both transparent films. The thermal decomposition temperature gradually decreased. Regarding the optical property, the light transmittance decreased and the haze tended to increase. However, film A showed almost similar optical characteristics after 160-hour weathering treatment.

Observing that every Tychonoff space X has an extension $kX$ which is a weakly Lindel$\ddot{o}$f space and the minimal quasi-F cover $QF(kX)$ of $kX$ is a weakly Lindel$\ddot{o}$f, we show that ${\Phi}_{kX}:QF(kX){\rightarrow}kX$ is a $z^{\sharp}$-irreducible map and that $QF({\beta}X)=QF(kX)$. Using these, we prove that $QF(kX)=kQF(X)$ if and only if ${\Phi}^k_X:kQF(X){\rightarrow}kX$ is an onto map and ${\beta}QF(X)=(QF{\beta}X)$.

그래프에서 k-서로소인 경로 커버는 정점 집합을 커버하면서 정점이 서로소인 .개의 경로들의 집합으로 정의하고, 이때 각 경로는 주어진 소스와 싱크를 잇는다. 각 소스와 싱크에 요구(demand)라고 부르는 양의 정수가 주어질 때, 요구가 d인 각 소스나 싱크가 d개의 경로에 포함되는 일반-요구 k-서로소인 경로 커버(general-demand k-disjoint path cover)를 정의할 수 있다. 이것은 일대일, 일대다, 그리고 비쌍형 다대다 서로소인 경로 커버를 일반화한 것이다. 이 논문에서는 일반-요구 k-서로소인 경로 커버 문제가 비쌍형 k-서로소인 경로 커버 문제로 변환될 수 있음을 보인다. 더구나 소스가 하나인 경우를 단일-소스 k-서로소인 경로 커버(single-source k-disjoint path cover)라고 부르는데, 이것은 일대다 k-서로소인 경로 커버 문제로 변환된다.

Wind turbines have an enormous potential for decentralized electricity generation. In recent years, there has been an increasing worldwide interest in small/medium wind systems. This paper presents the results of power performance testing conducted on a 50 kW turbine located in Yeonggwang test-bed. The turbine system is a pitch, active yaw, variable speed, upwind, three blade with a direct drive PMSG. This thesis covers the operation of variable speed wind turbines with pitch-yaw control. The system considered is controlled to generate maximum energy while minimizing loads. The data include power, wind speed, and direction from meteorological towers, and nacelle anemometer readings and output from turbine. The analysis concentrates on the effect of the load on the power-wind speed curve of the turbine.

This paper covers general recommendations for top-oil temperature rising of mineral-oil-immersed power distribution transformer rated 100kVA and less, manufactured in Korea. In order to analyze the top-oil temperature rising due to the distribution transformer loading we performed experiments for oil-immersed distribution transformer, manufactured in domestic at KERI(Korea Electrical Research Institute) from December 2000 to May 2001. The magnitude of loading were changed, and the top-oil temperatures for each time were measured. Finally, we present the overload criteria of distribution transformer for summer and winter season in domestic. respectively.

Electrochemical water splitting to produce hydrogen energy is regarded as a promising energy conversion process for its environmentally friendly nature. To improve cell efficiency, the development of efficient water oxidation catalysts is essentially demanded. For several decades, 3d transition metal oxides have been intensively investigated for their high activity, good durability and low-cost. This review covers i) recent progress on 3d transition metal oxide electrocatalysts and ii) the reaction mechanism of oxygen evolving catalysis, specifically focused on the proposed pathways for the O-O bond formation step.
