  • This paper is a study about the relationships among topologies and intuitionistic fuzzy topology induced, respectively, by approximation operators and an intuitionistic fuzzy approximation operator associated with an approximation space (X, R), when the relation R on X is precisely reflexive and transitive. In particular, we consider an intuitionistic fuzzy approximation operator on an approximation space X (i.e., a set X with a reflexive and transitive relation on it), which turns out to be an intuitionistic fuzzy closure operator. This intuitionistic fuzzy closure operator gives rise to two saturated fuzzy topologies on X and it turns out that all the level topologies of one of the fuzzy topology coincide and equal to the topology analogously induced on X by a crisp approximation operator. These observations are then applied to intuitionistic fuzzy automata.

  • The concept of intuitionistic fuzzy $\theta$-interior operator is introduced and discussed in intuitionistic fuzzy topological spaces. As applications of this concept, intuitionistic fuzzy strongly $\theta$-continuous, intuitionistic fuzzy $\theta$-continuous, and intuitionistic fuzzy weakly continuous functions are characterized in terms of intuitionistic fuzzy $\theta$-interior operator.

  • Due to importance of the concepts of ${\theta}$-closure and ${\delta}$-closure, it is natural to try for their extensions to fuzzy topological spaces. So, Ganguly and Saha introduced and investigated the concept of fuzzy ${\delta}$-closure by using the concept of quasi-coincidence in fuzzy topological spaces. In this paper, we will introduce the concept of ${\delta}$-closure in intuitionistic fuzzy topological spaces, which is a generalization of the ${\delta}$-closure by Ganguly and Saha.

  • In this paper, we introduce the concepts of closure and interior defined by an intuitionistic gradation of openness. We also introduce the concepts of weakly gp-maps, gp-open maps and several types of compactness, and obtain some characterizations.

  • The notion of intuitionistic fuzzy semi-pre interior (semi-pre closure) is introduced, and several related properties are investigated. Characterizations of an intuitionistic fuzzy regular open set, an intuitionistic fuzzy semi-open set and an intuitionistic fuzzy ${\gamma}$-open set are provided. A method to make an intuitionistic fuzzy regular open set (resp. intuitionistic fuzzy regular closed set) is established. A relation between an intuitionistic fuzzy ${\gamma}$-open set and an intuitionistic fuzzy semi-preopen set is considered. A condition for an intuitionistic fuzzy set to be an intuitionistic fuzzy ${\gamma}$-open set is discussed.
