  • This paper describes the procedure of implementing an articulatory speech simulator, in order to model the human articulatory organs and to synthesize speech from this model after. Images required to construct the vocal tract model were obtained from MRI, they were then used to construct 2D and 3D vocal tract shapes. In this paper 3D vocal tract shapes were constructed by spatially concatenating and interpolating sectional MRI images. 2D vocal tract shapes were constructed and analyzed automatically into a digital filter model. Following this speech sounds corresponding to the model were then synthesized from the filter. All procedures in this study were using MATLAB.

  • In this paper, we present a symbolic formulation of the error obtained due to an approximation of a given function by the mixed-interpolating function. Using the proposed symbolic method, we compute the error evaluation operator as well as the error estimation at any arbitrary point. We also present an algorithm to compute an approximation of a function by the mixed interpolation technique in terms of projector operator. Certain examples are presented to illustrate the proposed algorithm. Maple implementation of the proposed algorithm is discussed with sample computations.

  • Image-based rendering is an approach to generate realistic images in real-time without modeling explicit 3D geometry, Especially, TIP(Tour Into the Picture) is preferred for its simplicity in constructing 3D background scene. However, TP has a limitation that a viewpoint cannot go far from the origin of the TIP for the lack of geometrical information. in this paper, we propose a method to interpolating the TIP images to generate smooth and realistic navigation. We construct multiple TIP models in a wide area of the virtual environment. Then we interpolate foreground objects and background object respectively to generate smooth navigation results.

  • The Shannon sampling series is the prototype of an interpolating series or sampling series. Also the Shannon wavelet is one of the protypes of wavelets. But the coefficients of the Shannon sampling series are different function values at the point of discontinuity, we analyze the Gibbs phenomenon for the Shannon sampling series. We also find a way to go around this overshoot effect.

  • We construct polynomial-fitting interpolation rules to agree with a function f and its first derivative f' at equally spaced nodes on the interval of interest by introducing a linear functional with which we produce systems of linear equations. We also introduce a matrix whose determinant is not zero. Such a property makes it possible to solve the linear systems and then leads to a conclusion that the rules are uniquely determined for the nodes. An example is investigated to compare the rules with Hermite interpolating polynomials.

  • A source-synchronous receiver based on a delay-locked loop is presented. It employs a shared global calibration control between channels, yet achieves channel expandability for high aggregate I/O bandwidth. The global calibration control accomplishes skew calibration, equalizer adaptation, and phase lock of all the channels in a calibration period, resulting in the reduced hardware overhead and area of each data lane. In addition, the weight-adjusted dual-interpolating delay cell, which is used in the multiphase DLL, guarantees sufficient phase linearity without using dummy delay cells, while offering a high-frequency operation. The proposed receiver is designed in the 90-nm CMOS technology, and achieves error-free eye openings of more than 0.5 UI across 9-28 inch Nelco4000-6 microstrips at 4-7 Gb/s and more than 0.42 UI at data rates of up to 9 Gb/s. The data lane occupies only $0.152mm^2$ and consumes 69.8 mW, while the rest of the receiver occupies $0.297mm^2$ and consumes 56.0 mW at the 7- Gb/s data-rate and supply voltage of 1.35 V.

  • Image magnification is the estimation of a few pixel in images with high quality from a pixel of an image with low resolution and there have been studied many techniques to make images with high quality. In this paper, we propose an image interpolation method using median filter and spatial information. The proposed method makes an interpolating pixel using an average value of a median filtered value and an average value of two pixels correlated with an interpolating pixel tightly. Also we make the magnified image with improved quality to add the directional information of surrounding pixels and the characteristic of ones using average value and max value of spatial variation. We evaluate the performance using PSNR in the quality of enlarged image comparing the proposed method with existing methods. The results show the proposed method improves PSNR than the existing methods and make images preserving the characteristic of original imges.

  • A hybrid finite difference method for the longitudinal dispersion equation was developed. The method is based on combining the Holly-Preissmann scheme with the fifth-degree Hermite interpolating polynomial and the generalized Crank-Nicholson scheme. Longitudinal dispersion of an instantaneously-loaded pollutant source was simulated by the model and other characteristics-based numerical methods. Computational results were compared with the exact solution. The present method was free from wiggles regardless of the Courant number, and exactly reproduced the location of the peak concentration. Overall accuracy of the computation increased for smaller value of the weighting factor, $\theta$ of the model. Larger values of $\theta$ overestimated the peak concentration. Smaller Courant number gave better accuracy, in general, but the sensitivity was very low, especially when the value of $\theta$ was small. From comparisons with the hybrid method using the third-degree interpolating polynomial and with split-operator methods, the present method showed the best performance in reproducing the exact solution as the advection becomes more dominant.

  • Given vectors x and y in a Hilbert space, an intepolating operator is a bounded operator T such that Tx=y. an interpolating operator for n vectors satisfies the equation Tx$_{i}$=y, for i=1, 2,…, n. In this article, we obtained the fellowing : Let x = (x$_{i}$) and y = (y$_{i}$) be two vectors in H such that x$_{i}$$\neq$0 for all i = 1, 2,…. Then the following statements are equivalent. (1) There exists an operator A in AlgL such that Ax = y, A is a trace-class operator and every E in L reduces A. (2) (equation omitted).mitted).
