실내공간의 이미지 전회비교 평가를 통한 공간유형별 지각특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on perceptive characteristics of space type through comparative evaluation on the image rotation of Interior Space)

  • For the user-centered interior space design, a designer needs to carefully focus on the details from which the user must keenly observe or concentrate on the space and how to deliberately check the image of the space. Following this view, for the user-centered interior space design this study analyzes the way which the space is represented from the perspective of the image assessment. The results obtained from this study are summarized as follows: First, this study analyzed the characteristic of space image change in the form of cross-comparison between one space and a rotated space. With analyzing of an eye fixation by showing the space, the space images of "concentration-dispersion" and "strengthening-weaken "have an important role in the analysis of the perception of space. it confirmed that the method of space perception was changed by rotated the space. Second, With changing quantities of image and extraction of deviation from adjective in survey, it quantitatively graps that respondents of feel in space perception by changing the space and "concentration" and 'dispersion" for process of space choice. The results of the research can provide important basis to judge the changing of space perception by visual perception. Third, through the analysis of image change rate and deviation rate, the characteristics of image change with space change can be analyzed. The results derived from the study provide the evidence to support the image change by space rotating.

  • The concept of non-linearity, which has been derived from a scientific paradigm, has generated new discourse in formative arts. The non-linearity enables various new possibilities such as, generation of diverse and dynamic space, creation of non-geometric form and space, and the shape in the space as it is in nature. This study percepts and explains the concepts of non-linearity and their principles in space modeling in the field of interior design, in terms of the philosophy of fractal geometry. We also analyze cases, which shows trends and specific embodiments of non-linear space modeling. This study will provide perspectives on the non-linearity as a new methods in the space modeling. For the study, we review the concept and characteristics of non-linearity, by examining various literatures, and developed an analyzing tool which was used to study various cases of Western and Korean interior Design.

  • The meaning of the color which has from modern interior space has played important role, i.e. color itself Is the concept creation tool as well as the unique expression sphere in field of interior space far away from fixed idea relevant to the existing color which was only simple decoration or secondary element in space. Thus, this current work expresses that the color is related with decoration effect as well as basic designed-conceptual work process including the space is formed. Furthermore, through the side-composition with color, It activates the various space aspect perceptually, which created the colorful environment in using lightning, reflection of glass and penetrated nature etc. The keyword on color concept is as like various aspects, third dimension, non-materiality and symbolical meaning. In addition, it provides the color space equipped with functionality and artistry capable to arouse the diverse sensual capacity to space users on default of color image language.

  • The concept of Space-time is performed while the movement of human Is imaged on coming 20th century up. Specifically it is considered that the movement of human is caused by the relativistic otherness rather than an absolute subject in space of deconstructive tendency. The purpose of this study is that I try to analyze an expression of relative space-time concept in desconstructive tendency and I have to get a concept how this kind of expression effect the contemporary commercial space. Through this study, I can get to know that the expression of relative space-time concept expresses the dynamic construction by the indeterminacy and the visual effect by the dematerialization in the contemporary commercial interior-space. According to the result of study, the concept of space get to be more meaningful, relative space-time concept and it can be attributed to the concept of human's new creative space over human's life in general.

  • Following to current interior design that becoming more varied and composite, minimal tendency has also been changed. Furthermore, according to the lapse of time, minimalism, a space design, has been developed in a new look among such complex trends. Therefore, in this study, changes of tendency into a style of minimalism and characteristics thereof shown in interior design amid current of times were carefully reviewed, and local and foreign artists together with their works were investigated and analyzed having focused on the inclination of minimalism displayed in interiors of commercial spaces, especially before or after 2000s by dividing them into distinctive features in connection with space, material and type. It is thought that the interior space under the concept of minimalism will be changed and developed further in a variety of shapes to suit the environments in the current era getting rid of simple physical characteristics.

구매심리과정(AIDMA)모델을 적용한 식음공간의 실내디자인요소 분석 (Analysis of Interior Design Elements in Food and Beverage Applying the Psychological Process of Purchasing(AIDMA) Model)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide fundamental data that can improve added value of commercial space strategically using the identification of relationship between the process of consumers' purchasing psychology (AIDMA : Attention, Interest, Desire, Memory, Action) and elements of interior design. For this purpose, case study and survey were carried out on food and beverage spaces, where they were doing business for more than two years, were selected from the ones appeared in the interior journal "A." Based on the study, basic details including a ground plan, design summary and representative image were identified through preliminary research, and a researcher visited the target spaces and carried out a research and analysis on interior design elements. Three spaces among targets of the case study were selected to identify the relation between design elements and AIDMA items which consumers feel, and the survey was conducted on the customers of the selected food and beverage spaces. Results of the case study on the 18 food and beverage spaces showed that features of the each of AIDMA items in material and color elements were most well expressed. As a result of survey conducted on visitors of each food and beverage space, features of each item were expressed in overall design elements. In particular, space elements and color elements in "Space 1," space elements and lighting elements in "Space 2" and space elements, furniture & objet elements in "Space 3" were most well expressed in each space. There were slight differences depending on individual characteristics such as design concept, location and business operation of target food and beverage spaces but attributes of AIDMA items were remarkably recognized in common in the space elements.

  • It wouldn't be exaggerating to say that we're living in a "Brand age" these days. Brand is easily spotted anywhere around our surroundings, influencing us in a material and a moral way. BI(Brand Identity) which brings increase on sales by constructing and improving the brand image, are infect visually compressed Identity designs that will give the interior space that have applied it, superiority in building a unified image. Then, graphic plays an important role in expressing Identity designs visually. These days, interior space graphic is an emotional field that can materialize images, which became an important expressing medium that offers various images and creativity and show interior space's brand identity. In this manner, space graphic that applies identity designs, clearly states brand's intentions on space communication and users by designing company images or brand's emotional factors visually and dimensionally. Also, it escapes plane level, and gives space, dimensional and kinetic elements, which can give differentiation with other brand's space. These kinds of flexibility let space graphic be used efficiently in extending space identity.

  • Space Composition should be understood an aesthetic cognition about the basis of space in different points of view. It establishes the prescribed environment of space through the hypothesis of given geometrical object. Therefore, it makes understand the cause of space composition and conceive the consistency of various elements, orders, norms and forms of space composition, Through this study, the students may build up scenarios-form the beginning to the climax of space -, directions and full stories about the space.

인테리어 테라피에 관한 탐색적 연구 (An Exploratory Study on Interior Therapy)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the interior therapy that introduced the concept of therapy into interior space. This study examines interior therapy based on the concepts of stress and therapy. As the study methods, a qualitative analysis to review the concept of interior therapy was conducted together with a quantitative analysis on the current state of domestic therapy-related researches. The scope of the study is limited to domestic journals published from 1988, when the first domestic research was embarked on to analyze the current status of therapy-related researches, until November 2016. According to the study results, the domestic therapy-related studies were mainly focused on aromatherapies and food therapies. By year, the first domestic study of its kind was conducted on logotherpay in 1988. And until 2000, studies were carried out mainly on aromatherapies. Since then, new psychotherapy research fields have emerged; color therapy in 2003 and food therapy in 2008. However, in the space design field except for color therapy-related researches, there have been not sufficient studies on the indoor space therapy field that investigates the possibility of indoor space as a therapy from an integrated viewpoint. Therefore, this study reviewed domestic researches on interior therapy which applied the concept of therapy to interior design and suggested three cognitive-emotional-behavioral measures as healing factors. Finally, this study is expected to be used as basic data for design planning and curriculum development which apply the concept of therapy to interior design-related fields.
