A Stable A/D Conversion of Load Cell Signal by Single Chip Microprocessor (싱글칩 마이크로프로세서에 의한 로드셀 신호의 A/D 변환 안정화 처리)

  • In this study, a method is suggested to design the A/D conversion system which has high resolution to convert load cell signal. First, hardware was designed to reduce the offset voltage of integrator and comparator. And then, a calibration software technique was performed to obtain the stable data from A/D converter. The optimal parameters of each elements in the circuits was selected using the SPICE simulation. The main advantage of our method is high precision A/D converter can be constructed with low cost and high confidence. Therefore proposed method is expected to be used in the industrial field where a high precision measurement is required.

  • A CMOS Gm-C filter with variable cutoff frequency applicable for using in the direct conversion receiver is designed. The designed filter comprises the CMOS differential transconductors, and the gm of the transconductor is controlled by the bias voltage. This configuration can compensate variant of the cutoff frequency which could be generated by external noises, and also be used in multiband receiver. As a results of HSPICE simulation, the control range of the cutoff frequency is $1.5MHz{\sim}3.5MHz$ and the gain control range is $-2.8dB{\sim}2.6dB$. The layout of the designed 5th-order Elliptic low-pass filter is performed to fabricate a chip using $2.5V-0.25{\mu}m$ CMOS processing parameter.

  • In this paper, low-power heart beat detection algorithm and structure is proposed. The proposed detection algorithm utilizes filter banks to display a specific beat per minute(BPM) from the heart beat signals. Since general filter banks need a lot of computation to calculate a BPM, we propose the filter banks structure using modified CIC(Cascaded Integrator Comb) filters. It is shown that the proposed modified CIC filter banks algorithm can display the BPM from the heart beat signals precisely and efficiently.

  • This paper proposes a double-phase-locked-loop (PLL) to improve the performance of position estimation in hall sensor-based permanent magnet synchronous motor control. In hall sensor-based control, a PLL is normally used to estimate the rotor position. The proposed Double-PLL consists of two PLLs, including a reset type integrator. The motor control is more accurate and has better performance than conventional PLL, such as a small estimated position ripple. The validity of the proposed algorithm is verified by simulations and experiments.

  • 본 논문에서는 계통 전압이 불평형 및 왜곡되었을 경우에 정확한 위상각을 검출 할 수 있는 DSOGI-QSG(dual second order generalized integrator quadrature signal generation)를 이용한 PLL (phase locked loop) 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 PLL 방법은 기존의 DSOGI-PLL 방법과 비교하기 위해, 전압에 불평형 및 왜곡 사고 발생 시 동기각을 검출하는 시뮬레이션을 하였고, 이를 통해 THD가 개선됨을 입증하였다.

  • 본 논문은 Y-capacitor와 미분기를 이용한 절연형 AC/DC컨버터의 제어신호 전송기법을 제안한다. 기존 SSR(Secondary Side Regulation)의 제어단(Photo-coupler, TL431 및 부가회로)은 바이어스 전류에 의한 대기전력 손실이 크다. 하지만 제안된 방식은 기존 SSR의 제어단을 제거하고, 2차 측 제어신호를 EMI노이즈 경로로 사용되는 Y-capacitor와 저항, 커패시터만을 이용하여 1차 측으로 전송한다. 제안 신호전송기법의 이론적 해석과 PSIM Tool을 이용한 Simulation 결과를 통하여 타당성을 검증하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 개선된 적분기를 이용하여 3상 AC/DC 컨버터의 직접 전력 제어(Direct Power Control)를 위한 가상 자속의 추정 기법을 제안한다. 기존의 가상 자속 추정을 위해 사용하는 일반적인 적분기는 dc drift 문제를 유발한다. 이는 보통 저역 통과 필터를 사용으로 보완이 가능하지만, 이 경우 추정된 자속은 크기와 위상의 오차를 갖는다. 따라서 제안하는 기법은 각속도 오차가 가상 자속의 위상 지연 오차와 비례하는 관계를 분석하고 이를 보상하여 속응성 및 안정성을 향상시킨다. 시뮬레이션을 통하여 제안한 기법의 타당성을 검증한다.

  • This paper is concerned with applicability of a new type of controllers, called i-PID and GPI in which unknown parts of the plant are taken into account without any modeling procedure, to automatic voltage regulator (AVR) system. First, the procedure for applying i-PID and GPI algorithms to AVR system is proposed, which uses model reduction technique based on the given information of AVR. Second, simulations are given to verify their effectiveness comparing to various PID algorithms including PIDD2 which is four-term controller, that is, consisting of PID and second order derivative terms. Superior response performances of i-PID and GPI in comparison to conventional PID controllers are shown. Moreover, i-PID can highly improve the system robustness with respect to model uncertainties, especially to load variations.

  • The starting characteristics of single phase induction motor(SPIM) is described by control of phase and voltage. Auxiliary winding voltage is controlled by DC amplifier and phase is integrator. These processes enable comparison of torque with slip in each voltage and phase angle variations. Simulation and experimentation results of the motor's torque-slip characteristics using the controlled auxiliary winding voltage and phase angle arc shown and discussed. As a results, starting time is fast and main winding current is small when auxiliary winding voltage is low than rating voltage and starting characteristics is good in phase angle $90^{\circ}$.

  • In this study, a controller which has a feedforward controller and two additional PI integrators was designed. But if a controller is used by only the integration of a feedforward controller and two additional PI integrators, the capability of a controller will decrease because the decoupling terms of current is feedback as the disturbance. Therefore the feedforward method with the decoupling compensation was proposed. The two additional PI integrators were replaced by two decoupling terms to simplify the calculation. The simulation and experimental using SynRM driving system were performed to verify the design of a improved decoupling feedforward controller.
