3D 컴퓨터그래픽에서 유체를 이용한 사실적인 시각효과(Visual Effects)는 영상의 질적 완성도를 높이는데 중요한 요소로 작용한다. 유체의 각 속성을 제어하여 물, 불, 폭발 등의 사실적인 움직임을 생성시키는 과정을 유체 시뮬레이션(Fluid Simulation)이라 한다. 일반적으로 유체 시뮬레이션의 제작은 주 시뮬레이션(Main simulation) 작업단계에 집중되지만, 이를 위한 사전준비 단계(Initial set up)인 초기 방출자에 대한 효과적인 생성방법이 중요하다. 이에 본 연구의 목적은 유체의 초기 방출 운동과 형태에 관여하는 요소들을 분석하고 이를 초기 제작공정에 적용할 수 있는 효과적인 방법을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위한 연구의 전개는 첫째, 기존 관련 연구에 대해 분석 및 문제점을 제기하고, 둘째, 보다 효과적인 유체효과 시뮬레이션 진행을 위해, Dynamic Fluid Emitter Creation과 User Design Type Emission Velocity Solution에 대한 두가지 실험을 진행한다. 본 연구를 통해, 사용자 설계형의 방출 제어 솔루션을 통해 효율적인 초기단계의 유체 시뮬레이션 제작방법을 제시한다.

We introduce an optimization of fuzzy set-fuzzy systems based on IG (Information Granules). The proposed fuzzy model implements system structure and parameter identification by means of IG and GAs. The concept of information granulation was coped with to enhance the abilities of structural optimization of the fuzzy model. Granulation of information realized with C-Means clustering helps determine the initial parameters of the fuzzy model such as the initial apexes of the membership functions in the premise part and the initial values of polynomial functions in the consequence part of the fuzzy rules. The initial parameters are adjusted effectively with the help of the GAs and the standard least square method. To optimally identify the structure and the parameters of the fuzzy model we exploit GAs with successive tuning method to simultaneously search the structure and the parameters within one individual. We also consider the variant generation-based evolution to adjust the rate of identification of the structure and the parameters in successive tuning method. The proposed model is evaluated with the performance of the conventional fuzzy model.

This paper proposes a new solid-shape modeling system based on a lusterware-image illustration. The proposed method reconstructs a three dimensional solid shape from a set of rough sketches that are typically drawn in the early stages of the design process. The sketches do not have to be strictly accurate, and this tolerance to the roughness of the input sketches is one of the major advantages of the proposed method. The proposed system creates an initial shape based on the silhouette of the input lusterware-images. Then the user can edit the initial shape with intuitive cutting and dishing-up operations, which are based on sketching user interface. To achieve the goal, the system retains the geometric model with two representations: a point-set data and a volume data. This dual data structure allows the program to create an initial shape from the input images with little computational cost, and the user can apply cutting and dishing-up operations without substantially increasing computational and memory requirements. In this research, we have tested the proposed system by reconstructing solid models of some mechanical parts from rough sketches. The experimental results indicate that the proposed method is useful for the prototyping of a solid shape.

다양한 모바일 기기가 등장하면서 WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network)을 통하여 네트워크 서비스를 받는 경우가 많아졌다. 그러나 제한된 ESS(Extended Service Set) 영역에 한꺼번에 급격히 많은 수의 모바일 기기가 네트워크 접속을 시도할 경우, 현재 WLAN 보안 표준인 802.11i의 초기 링크 셋업 과정은 네트워크 연결 지연 문제를 발생시킨다. 본 논문에서는 802.11i 기반의 ESS 영역에서 신속하고 간단한 초기 링크 셋업 과정을 수행하는 WLAN 접속 프로토콜을 제안한다.

One of the difficulties in using the current Boolean-based information retrieval systems is that it is hard for a user, especially a novice, to formulate an effective Boolean query. One solution to this problem is to let the system formulate a query for a user from his relevance feedback documents in this research, an intelligent query reformulation mechanism based on ID3 is proposed and the sensitivity of its retrieval effectiveness, i.e., recall, precision, and E-measure, to various input settings is analyzed. The parameters in the input settings is the number of relevant documents. Experiments conducted on the test set of Medlars revealed that the effectiveness of the proposed system is in fact sensitive to the number of the initial relevant documents. The case with two or more initial relevant documents outperformed the case with one initial relevant document with statistical significances. It is our conclusion that formulation of an effective query in the proposed system requires at least two relevant documents in its initial input set.

This paper presents an experimental study and numerical thermal deformation analysis in the home appliance, Video Cassette Recorder. Analyzing the change axial force of a set screw according to the change of temperature in the drum assembly, we can determine the initial torque in tightening set screw. The torque will have the preload boss not be separated from the bearing. Also we conduct the fundamental experiment to constitute a boundary condition of the numerical analysis. With the result of this study, we can change the material of preload boss, copper, for aluminum.

상 경계 추정 문제에서는 초기치에 따라 그 추정성능이 달라질 수 있다. 하지만 실제의 유동 공정에서는 초기치 설정을 위한 기포의 개수와 개략적인 위치 정보를 알 수가 없기 때문에, 초기치 설정 문제는 더욱 중요하다. 따라서 이 논문에서는 상 경계 추정을 위한 초기치 설정을 위해 우선 차이(difference) 복원 방법을 사용하여 미지의 저항률 분포를 추정하고, 중간모드(intermodes) 방법을 사용하여 적응 문턱치를 자동으로 계산하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 기포의 개수와 초기 위치를 결정하였다. 이로써 잡음이 존재하는 경우에도 기포의 상 경계를 잘 추정할 수 있는 방법을 개발하였다. 이에 몇 가지 시나리오를 설정하고 모의실험을 통해 제안한 방법의 상 경계 추정성능을 평가하였다.

본 논문에서는 지연혼합에서의 암묵신호분리를 위해 분리행렬의 초기 값을 설정하는 방법을 제안한다. 혼합신호의 상호상관행렬에 대한 고유분리를 분석한 후, 고유벡터의 지연정보를 이용하여 초기 값으로 설정한다. 제안하는 방법을 기존의 주파수영역 독립성분분석 (FDICA: Frequency domain independent component analysis)에 초기 값으로 설정하여 분리 성능을 향상시킨다. 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해 제안하는 방법이 신호대간섭비 (SIR: Signal to Interference Ratio)가 우수하고 학습곡선의 수렴속도가 개선됨을 보인다.

In the analysis of massive volume data, a neural network model is a useful tool. To implement the Neural network model, it is important to select initial value. Since the initial values are generally used as random value in the neural network, the convergent performance and the prediction rate of model are not stable. To overcome the drawback a possible method use samples randomly selected from the whole data set. That is, coefficients estimated by logistic regression based on the samples are the initial values.
