H.264, a recently proposed international video coding standard, has adopted context-based adaptive variable length coding (CAVLC) as the entropy coding tool in the baseline profile. By combining an adaptive variable length coding technique with context modeling, we can achieve a high degree of redundancy reduction. However, CAVLC in H.264 has weakness that the correct prediction rate of the variable length coding (VLC) table is low in a complex area, such as the boundary of an object. In this paper, we propose a VLC table prediction scheme considering multiple reference blocks; the same position block of the previous frame and the neighboring blocks of the current frame. The proposed algorithm obtains the new weighting values considering correctness of the VLC table for each reference block. Using this method, we can enhance the prediction rate of the VLC table and reduce the bit-rate.

Tolerance analysis method for natural frequencies of multi-body systems having a equilibrium position is suggested in this paper. To perform the tolerance analysis, the Monte-Carlo Method is conventionally employed. However, the Monte-Carlo Method has some weakness; spending too much time for analysis and having a low accuracy and hard to converge in the numerical unstable area. To resolve these problems, a tolerance analysis method is suggested in this paper. Sensitivity equations of natural frequencies are derived at the equilibrium position. By employing the sensitivity information of mass, damping and stiffness matrices, the sensitivity of natural frequencies can be calculated.

In this paper, we propose an efficient internet-based logistics brokerage concept which can overcome the weakness of the traditional off-line method to intermediate between vehicle owners and shippers for matching empty vehicles and freights. For defining a business model based on the new concept and implementing an information system, it is necessary to analyze the business process for the internet-based logistics brokerage using a modeling methodology. In this paper, we analyze the logistics brokerage process using the UN/CEFACT Modeling Methodology (UMM) being utilized as a standard modeling methodology in the area of electronic commerce. After analyzing the business process, we can expect that the UMM can be used as a useful tool for modeling the business process of electronic commerce in which the description of the collaborative work is very important.

The SEM approach to PKl offers several advantages, such as immediate revocation of users' signing ability without CRLs and compatibility with the standard RSA. However, it has a weakness against denial of service attack caused by breaking down or being compromised. G. Vanrenen et al. proposed a distributed SEM approach to overcome the weaknesses. However, it does not provide the desirable properties such as instant availability and immunity against denial of service attack, due to inadequate usage of threshold cryptography and proactive secret sharing. In this paper, we point out its structural contradictions and propose a modified version of distributed SEM approach.

Measuring the movement of joint angle of human body is very important clinically. Human joint angle displacement can be used to evaluate the degree of disease and disability. Also, we can determine the rehabilitation process with angular information. Conventional methods for measuring angular displacement are many weakness. The purpose of this study is to overcome the limitations of existing equipments by using optical method. For this reason, optical sensor system was used to correlate detected light signal with joint angle. Experimental results of the applied joint model in this study showed that joint angular displacement can be measured by optical signals. The suggested method is simple, durable, small, lightweight, convenient, and cost effective.

The aim of this paper is the implementation of high assembly productivity through product redesign. The product and process are analyzed by influencing factors for based data of the product redesign. And then, the weak assembly processes are analyzed by weak influencing factors. By this information about product and process, the score of weakness of influencing factors extracts the redesign rules and principles. The sequences of processes are changed according to the product redesign, and they are evaluated using the line efficiency and smoothness index.

Since the manufacturing machines containing information processing capacity by development of ME technology are developed and distributed from the advanced nations, manufacturing automation with manufacturing method which keeps flexibility and productivity is supplied broadly. An introduction of manufacturing automation technology is necessary to solve difficult domestic industry environment due to international competitiveness weakness of products. The aim of this is to search for the successful factors of the manufacturing business which uses too much technology of manufacturing automation and to observe the difference of the successful factors which influence to introduction performance according to the introduction type of automation technology and the strategic type through the empirical analysis.

In this study, we evaluate financial performance of 21 domestic life insurers using SAW (simple additive weighting), ELECTREII, cluster analysis respectively, and suggest a hybrid approach of combining cluster analysis and ELECTREII to reclassify the life insurers into more meaningful groups according to their respective financial features. We also perform the sensitivity analysis employing ANOVA and Tukey's test to examine the robustness of ELECTREII, which would be influenced by decision maker's subjective preference parameters. Consequently, it is shown that ELECTREII turns out to be a flexible method providing decision makers with useful ranking Information especially under fuzzy decision making situation with incomparable alternatives, and hence it can serve as a complementary method to overcome the weakness of classical cluster analysis.

Cloud storage services have many advantages. As a result, the amount of data stored in the storage of the cloud service provider is increasing rapidly. This increase in demand forces cloud storage providers to apply deduplication technology for efficient use of storages. However, deduplication technology has inherent security and privacy concerns. Several schemes have been proposed to solve these problems, but there are still some vulnerabilities to well-known attacks on deduplication techniques. In this paper, we examine some of the existing schemes and analyze their security weaknesses.

There exists a interface among the different kinds of materials in the solid insulating ones, which effects on the insulating capability heavily. The insulating construction has been developed for each usages and take themselves into several sorts. The conjunction between CV cables have the electrical weakness of solidity and solid interface, so they were focused at the long distance-line. To this background, it is very important to get the information on the interface influencing on the insulating capability of cable and to observe its procedure. In this paper, the interface was made artificially to research the effect owing to the toughness of interface, which results in the aging and treeing proceeding was observed. The polyethylen, as is generally using for the cable, was taken in this research.
