This study aims to develop the Extended Urban Land Information System (EULIS) which can support the sustainable urban management. Although the existing Urban Land Use Information system (ULUIS) that aids the micro-level land use information is a good means for the understanding of urban spatial structure and district-level planning and management (such as urban design, redevelopment planning and district-level transportation planning, etc.), it has some limitations in supplying the information for sustainable urban management, such as environmental and traffic analysis, urban infrastructure's carrying capacity analysis, etc. The EULIS is designed to efficiently supply the information for sustainable urban management. For the successful construction of EULIS, the followings have to be considered. 1) the integration of topographic maps which contain the building's footprints and cadastral maps which contain the parcel's boundary, 2) the integration of EULIS and FM (Facility Management) system for the full utilization of information about capacity analysis of infrastructure, 3) the construction of standardized georeferencing system and spatial unit for the combined use of environment and traffic census data. This study shows 1) why EULIS is needed for the sustainable urban management and which elements are needed for the system,2) the E-R data model for the EULIS, 3) the strategies for the construction of EULIS and 4) the conclusion.

Defects in apartments, which are one of the major residential types in Korea,produce unexpected inconvenience for their owners. If construction companiespaid more careful attention to the management of defect information, manydefects could be prevented. In this context, this study attempted to derive an improved defect information management system. First, research into cases of defects that were caused by weaknesses in the defect information management system were advanced to confirm the necessity of improving the defect information management system, and as the next step, a survey was conducted to identify problems with the current defect information management system, and the requirements of animproved system. In conclusion, an improved defect information management system will contribute to preventing defects in apartments in Korea.

By an explosive increase of proxy driving, customers require the quick and correct services of call center. But because most call centers have an unsystematic management system, grievance of customers is continually increasing. To solve these problem, we constructed a call center system of proxy driving that is based on CTI (Computer Telephony Integration) in this paper. The proposed system is constructed using CID (Caller Identify Display) terminal, SMS (Short Message Service) and call center management program etc. Customer service level could be improved through efficient customer management by using the proposed system. Also it could be convenient and easy to implement customer management, order management, staff management, SMS and settlement of accounts.

Consumer health information is receiving more attention than ever before. This growing attention can be linked to the Internet and to people seeking more information on health topics. The purpose of this study is to suggest a design of the Knowledge management system for medical information services in a public library. As theoretical backgrounds, it discusses the issues regarding to the medical information services in a public library, knowledge management and knowledge management system. After that, 12 medical information sites are analyzed then the planning and the main menu of a medical information site for a public library are described. Finally, the model of the knowledge management system for a public library with 5 sub-systems are suggested: 1) knowledge creation system, 2) technology support system, 3) training system, 4) community service system, 5) knowledge sharing and network system. This system based on knowledge management will help provide the users high quality of medical information.

This paper aims to describe how knowledge management could be put into practice in a voluntary way. From a practice-based standpoint, this study focused closely on the linkage between knowledge and practice. It is because knowledge management could fail if not put into practice. Using its own information system, iCOOP, a federation of consumers' co-operatives in Korea has been practised successful knowledge management voluntarily with its members. Based on the exploratory case study on iCOOP, this study conducted focused interviews with 5 member co-operatives of iCOOP. Main findings are as follows. First, an NoP emerges within a corporate information system when corporate work processes are concentrated in the information system. Second, corporate information system facilitates CoPs and the NoP when its information and information about its users are opened to all of the information system users. In conclusion, this study points out that it is not the matter of primary importance to build a knowledge management system. Rather, practice has the key to the successful knowledge management.

In this paper, person monitoring and personal identification information management by using the location positioning device and the location management system based on GPS is analysed and developed. Mobile HTE(Mobile HTE : Mobile Home Terminal Equipment) of the developed system uses the module for transmitting PID(Personal Identification Device) information and the module based on GPS's location information. HTE transmits the received information from Mobile HTE to the Location Management System through the internet system. The Location Management System is developed for person location management and information management.

As an interest in the efficiency of public sector expenditures has spread across the world, Korea has operated a self-evaluation system for government projects as a part of the performance-based budget system. However, an evaluation system for public information technology project has been criticized for its lack of validity, which stems from the uniformity of performance management. This study draws insight from knowledge management literature in an attempt to address the problems with the extant performance evaluation system in public agencies. To realize benefits from IT investment, an agency needs to develop its own performance management model for information systems projects, with a focus on the interaction of IT and organizational system. The knowledge management-based framework for IT projects was verified through a case study, with which we discussed the applicability of knowledge management to the evaluation of public information systems projects.

In this paper, I have designed and implemented the total management system to integrate PC and communications device operation of elementary, middle, and high school. The proposed system gives system information management, network information management, and remote management for PC and circuit management and performance analysis function for a router. For PC management, it supports system and network configuration information monitoring and current screen view of PC by remote screen capture. For network management, it provides gathering information of a line interface and analysis function such as utilization by polling. Thru total management system, system manager of teacher can have integrated operations of computerized resources in school by collecting and monitoring information of PCs and network elements.

National R&D project management agencies have promoted continuous investment and development to provide efficient information such as collection and analysis of industry and technology information and research trend information, and development of user oriented information system. Since software development team members have been more geographically spread due to the globalization of business and Internet technologies, the management of deliverables and communication efforts for developing high-quality software products on time is becoming more complicated. Among the functional requirements for collaborative software development management, the manipulation of shared information objects is essential for the collaborative work among distributed development team members. This paper proposes an integrated information object management framework comprised of a so-called BOC (Bill Of Class) scheme and a standardized software part dictionary for managing shared information objects efficiently among distributed co-workers. In order to manage these complex information objects, the proposed framework adopt product structures represented by Bills Of Materials (BOM) as stems for integrating the various information objects. Based on the proposed framework, a collaborative software development management system (CSDMS) is implemented, and the functionalities and the structure of the system are also described in this paper. The proposed system provides sufficient functionalities for the change management of information objects and the management of their relationship to other objects rather than existing system.
