This study investigates the capital structure policy among Indonesian public companies. Previous studies suggest that capital structure policy could follow either static or dynamic behavior. The sample data used in this study was companies in the manufacturing sector, divided into three sub-sectors: the basic and chemical industry, miscellaneous industry, and the consumer goods industry. This study uses panel data from 2010 to 2018, with the Generalized Least Square (GLS) method and compared whether the fixed effect model is better than the common effect model. The results show that the dynamic and non-linear model tests can explain the capital structure determinants than the static and linear models. The dynamic model shows that the capital structure of a certain year is influenced by the capital structure of the previous year. The findings indicate that the company performs some adjustments in its capital structure policy by referring to the previous debt ratio, which implies support to the trade-off theory (TOT). The study also shows that profitability, tangible assets, size, and age explain the variation of capital structure policy. The patterns on the dynamic and non-linear confirm that capital structure runs in a nonlinear pattern, based on the sector, company condition, and the dynamic environment.

본 연구는 조선산업의 구조조정과 지역사회 협력구조 특성에 대하여 고찰하였다. 신현읍은 조선 대기업의 입지로 급격한 사회$\cdot$경제적 변화를 경험하였다. 우리 나라보다 먼저 구조조정을 경험한 일본의 경우, 분업화와 집적화를 통한 조선산업의 입지구조재편과 기업-지방정부-지역주민의 협력관계를 발전시켜 왔다. 우리나라 조선산업 구조조정은 대기업의 경영환경 개선이 핵심이었기 때문에 기업간$\cdot$지역간 집적화나 협력구조가 정착되지 못하였다. 기업과 지역사회의 유기적 협력구조가 대규모 구조조정 이전에 구축된 일본의 경우와는 달리, 우리나라 조선산업도시는 구조조정에 따른 지역사회의 위기의식에서 기업-지역사회 협력구조가 출발하였다. 조선 대기업이 입지한 신현읍 지역은 중핵기업을 중심으로 구축된 생산영역간 연결고리는 회고하지만, 지역사회 협력구조는 미약한 현실이다. 기업, 공공기관, 지역주민, 지역전문가 등이 참여하는 로컬 거버넌스로서의 지역사회 협력구조는 지역사회의 응집력 강화뿐만 아니라, 산업도시가 직면한 문제를 해결할 수 있는 합리적 통로가 될 수 있을 것이다.

본 연구는 호텔업, 숙박업 그리고 관광업에 종사하는 기업들의 자본구조가 어떤 요인들에 의해서 결정되는가를 탐색하기 위해 2000년부터 2019년까지 한국의 환대산업 기업들을 대상으로 실증적 분석을 하였다. 자본구조이론과 기존연구들에서 제시된 몇 가지 설명변수들을 이용하여 종속변수인 레버리지와의 회귀분석을 하였다. 표본기간 전체와 글로벌 금융위기라는 특수한 기간을 제외하고 그 이전과 이후로 구분하여 분석한 결과, 판매비용, 수익성 및 기업규모의 회귀계수가 각각 통계적으로 유의한 음(-)을 나타냈으며, 이 중에서 특히 기업규모의 계수는 제조기업을 대상으로 한 기존연구에서 보고된 정(+)의 관계와 정반대인 음(-)으로 나타나 환대산업의 특수성을 나타낸 것으로 추정된다.

Sandwich plate structure is widely used in various fields of industry due to its excellent strength and stiffness compared with weight. In this paper, the mechanical behavior of sandwich plate structure with honeycomb core considering buckling is investigated in detail. The focus of the analysis is to evaluate strength and stiffness of the plate structure with critical stress, natural frequency, and mode shapes. The results of this investigation are obtained from detailed finite element analysis for various parameters, such as length, height ratio, and thickness ratio of honeycomb core.

Many problems in IT outsourcing service industry of Korea are rooted in the idiosyncratic structure of the industry. This structure causes the unique characteristics of service level management, service delivery methodology, and contracts. This study looks into the status of the industry, vendors, and markets of IT outsourcing and proposes some of relevant research topics of each area respectively.

The purpose of this research is to analyze big data structure and various objects in big data industry based on ecological perspective. Big data is rapidly emerging as a highly valuable resource to secure competitiveness of enterprise and government. Accordingly, the main issues in big data are to find ways of creating economic value and solving various problems. However big data is not systematically organized, and hard to utilize as it constantly expands to related industry such as telecommunications, finance and manufacturing. Under this circumstance, it is crucial to understand range of big data industry and to which stakeholders are related. The ecological approach is useful to understand comprehensive industry structure. Therefore this study aims at confirming big data structure and finding issues from interaction among objects. Results of this study show main framework of big data ecosystem including relationship among object elements composing of the ecosystem. This study has significance as an initial study on big data ecosystem. The results of the study can be useful guidelines to the government for making systemized big data ecosystem and the entrepreneur who is considering launching big data business.

In order to assess the attractiveness of the hospital industry, the competitive environment of the industry was analyzed. With the employment of Michael Porter's five forces model' the deciding factor was examined and applied to evaluate the intensity of the competitiveness in the hospital industry, and then the structure and attractiveness in hospital industry was assessed. The subject of this study was hospitals that have over 500 beds. Main findings are as follows. 1. Out of 5 factors deciding competitiveness, the pressure from newly opened hospitals and the competition between existing hospitals, were both high in intensity; this makes hospital industry less attractive. The pressure from the substitutes and the pressure from the negotiating power of consumers and suppliers were low; this makes hospital industry more attractive. 2. Overall intensity of competitive pressure pressure for existing hospital industry that have over 500 beds was rather low, consequently the attractiveness of the industry was evaluated quite high. These findings, however, were not solid enough to endorse the attractiveness of the industry. 3. It was understood that future industry would have bigger pressure/ competition so that the attractiveness for the relevant hospital industry would be decreased. This study has its limitations. As the evaluation of competitive factor was not grounded on quantitative data, its objectivity could be questioned. Also, the overall result of each factors could be distorted as it was calculated with same weight against individual factor. This study has its significance in that the specific hospital group was viewed as one industry, and its attractiveness as a potentially profitable industry in which worth investing was estimated, with all factors considered. With this key result, hospitals industustry could work out a plan to enhance the status of hospitals, allowing hospitals to get assistance in making strategic decisions such as mergers, cooperations, and new establishments.

지난 40년간 비디오 게임 산업은 비약적인 발전을 이루었다. 이에 본 연구는 산업조직론을 이론적 분석틀로 이용하여 미국 비디오 게임 산업의 진화를 살펴보았다. 분석 결과 미국 비디오 게임 산업의 시장 구조 및 시장 행위의 역사적 변화를 확인할 수 있었으며, 특히 미국 비디오 게임 산업의 시장구조의 변화와 시장행위의 변화간에 밀접한 연관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과는 비디오 게임 산업에 대한 경제학적 분석을 실시하는 후속 연구에 기초가 될 것으로 여겨진다.

In Korea, food material industry encounters the emerging market which results from the growth of food service industry and food processing industry. Food material suppliers think that the total sales in Korean market may be around 20 trillion won. However, very small numbers of studies about Korean food material industry have been conducted. This paper analyzes the current status of food material industry and the market structure in Korea, and presents several suggestions for the development of Korean food material industry as following: building up the function of fresh-cut in production area, improving market structure, settling down the cold-chain system, enforcing the certification program for food safety.

This study evaluates how activation plans presented by previous research are perceived by employees in the ship supply industry by sample surveys. Another objective of this study is to also assist in the selection of effective activation plans. It is becoming more and more difficult for the Port of Busan to strengthen its competitiveness in the ship supply industry by maintaining the status quo. Much research extending the scope of research subjects in the port logistics industry indicates that the development of the port logistics industry is very important for creating new value for the Port of Busan. The results shows that improvement in the retail structure and government support had a significantly positive correlation between the importance and necessity of the ship supply industry activation.
