The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors that influence safety rule violation at work. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 337 participants from nine manufacturing plants. The results of the content analysis revealed the following six categories: Individual characteristics, safety commitment, safety support and resources, safety competence and communication, production pressure, and problems with rules. Among the 14 factors in the six categories above, indirect accident experience in the individual characteristics category and no action for complying with laws in the problems with rules category had not been identified in previous studies. However, some factors, such as age, peer pressure, pay type, the lowering of risk, a masculine way of working, and supervisor position were not found in this study. The implications and limitations are discussed.
This study attempts to provide the main reasons and decision-making processes for marriage migration from a Vietnamese' perspective. For this purpose, in-depth interviews were conducted in Vietnam. Interviewees are those who got married to foreigners but are waiting for visas and parents whose daughters are marriage migrants. According to 23 interviewees, the main reasons of marriage migration are as follows: individual aspiration, sacrifice for others, and the circumstantial effects or love. Individual aspiration, in particular, leads to an active pursuit of international marriage. Parental involvement in the decision-making process is rarely found. Decision seems to be wholly made by the female migrant herself based on an individualistic orientation.
The present study investigated why students do not like math using deep-level interview method. The reasons of why students dislike math were classified into three: socio-cultural, and individual factors, and math itself. Socio-cultural factors include the environments where students are reared, family, and school culture. Individual factors mean competitive disposition, preconception of math, active disposition, and conflicts with friends or teachers. Finally, students seem to dislike math because math itself is a difficult subject. In addition, textbook and instruction are also difficult, or they are lack of fundamental math knowledge. There may be other reasons of why students do not like math subject. In spite of those reasons, there should be some efforts to analyze why students dislike math and to help the students have interests in math.
This study investigated the relation between preschoolers' individual and parents 'characteristics and preschoolers' emotional understanding and regulation. Subjects were 2004 and 5-year-old children and their parents. Interview tasks were used as research instruments used to measure preschoolers 'emotional understanding and regulation. Preschoolers' temperament and parents characteristics were measured by questionnaires based on several previous studies. The results revealed that preschooler's emotional understanding and regulation were significantlv different according to mothers' attitude style, emotional expressiveness, and attitude toward children's emotional expressiveness. The results are consistent with recent research showing that parents emotional socialization may be important for preschoolers' emotional understanding and regulation.
This research examined the relationships of individual and intergenerational variables with psychological well-being(PWB) of elderly females and the relative significance of the effect of these variables on PWB. Structured interview technique was used to collect data from 202 elderly females in Seoul who were recruited through quota sampling method. Two-way analysis of variance result indicated that interaction effect between aged and the presence of spouse on PWB was existed. Though most variables were significantly correlated with PWB of elderly females results of multiple regression analyses indicated that three variables-self-efficacy self-esteem affectional solidarity with adult children- significantly influenced PWB and three variabels-coresiding with the first son's family satisfaction with pocket money and contact solidarity-approached the significance level to the effect on PWB.

This paper proposes a positive experience design approach for Internet of Things (IoT) intelligent products to improve users' subjective well-being in the fields of artificial intelligence and big data. First, the authors selected six target users and taking the Xiaomi IoT intelligent products for the research objects and conducted a thorough observation on how the target users used IoT intelligent products in their own homes over two weeks via a home-visiting interview, group diary, and focus group. Second, they constructed an individual activities table for the participants' IoT intelligent product experience using a hierarchical task analysis (HTA). Third, two researchers sorted out the sub-tasks of happiness in the HTA table. Finally, the authors found the positive experience design approach of IoT intelligent products. The positive experience design approach of IoT intelligent products is proposed from focusing on the personal pleasure experience to individual life meaningful design and group social relationship design, including individual pleasure experience, personal goal realization, group needs satisfaction and the harmony of group relations. The paper uses the two design examples of an interactive kettle and a harmonious chair to further discuss the feasibility of the design approach. In the era of big data, it is helpful for designers to use this design approach to improve the users' sense of sustainable pleasure, achievement perception of their future goal realization, and the well-being of the group's social relationships.
There is a need to define the concept of suffering more appropriate in the context of Korean culture. This research is an attempt to analyze and develop the concept of suffering by applying the Hybrid Model suggested by Schwartz-Barcott and Kim. The data were collected from March 20, 1995 to September 17,1995. The subjects of the study were eight persons including in-patients and out-patients of a general hospital who were diagnosed as having cancer and those resting in sanatoria for natural treatment of cancer. Qualitative research methods of in-depth interview and participant observation were used for data collection. The contents of the interviews were recorded on tape. Data-analysis progressed according to the 3 phases suggested by the Hybrid Model. For each case, in-depth interview data and participant observation data were included and the attributes of suffering revealed in these data were analyzed. Finally, by summarizing the results from each case, the attributes of suffering, its dimensions, definition, and processes observed in the field were suggested. According to the results of the study, the followlng new definition of suffering is suggested : Suffering is a fundamental and inevitable experience of all human beings. When each individual experiences loss, damage, and pain which threaten one's personal integrity, suffering is perceived differently among each individual depending on their personal inner factors, one's significant others, exterior circumstances and stimuli, and the ultimate meaning of life. Suffering brings severe and unendurable distress which accompany despair, powerlessness, anxiety, bitterness, fear, anguish, guilt, depression, withdrawal and anger. The results of this study suggest that the more responsibility and burden a cancer patient felt, the more suffering she/he experienced and it tended to be more relevant to one's significant others and exterior circumstances and stimuli : the less responsibility and burden a cancer patient had, the less suffering she/he experienced and it tended to be related to one's inner factors. These findings have implications for nursing profession. When caring for patients who experience suffering, nurses need to consider the influence of responsibility, burden, and each dimension of suffering. Moreover, appropriate nursing interventions aimed at relieving pain and satisfying the spiritual need of patients experiencing loss need to be developed and implemented more widely.

The needs of education are devided 7 fields of the home improvement $\ulcorner$dietary life$\lrcorner$ is the highest demand fields among them. 2) If educational fee is charged, the item of $\ulcorner$technique for side job$\lrcorner$ was highest(42.2%) but $\ulcorner$selecting clothes$\lrcorner$ was lowest, And the field of $\ulcorner$home management$\lrcorner$ was highest demands. 3) On the overall needs of education, charged and free, they want the item of $\ulcorner$family nutrition management$\lrcorner$ and the field of $\ulcorner$dietary life$\lrcorner$ was selected highest. 4) In the relationship between needs of education items and individual/household variables, i.e. age, degree of education, life philosophy, hobby, social activity, experience of home improvement education, and transportation convenience, had significant relationship at 5% level. And the relationship of $\ulcorner$dietary life$\lrcorner$ and $\ulcorner$home management$\lrcorner$ fields are higher significant with individual/household variables.
The purpose of this study is to examine that high school students recognize mathematical situation when they are requested for changing identical mathematics situations into different situations. The results of the study are followings. First, percentage of correct answers to the questions of turning equal mathematical situation into function is higher than the one of turning equal mathematical situation into equation and inequality. As a result of individual interview for comprehensibility of the students on these relations, it is found that if degree goes up and there is different expressions of questionaries although mathematical situation is identical, it affects comprehensibility of the subjects. Second, we found that they cannot understand identical mathematics situations because they have trouble in drawing graph or applying to get the answer while many students understand a point of intersection on the graph as a correct answer. Third, As a result of individual interview for comprehensibility of the students on relation between equation, inequality and function, we found that students manage to get correct answer even without perfect comprehensibility on this relation.
