The purpose of this study is to develop a family life educational program and verify the effectiveness hereof in order to improve a family life and enhance practice ability for marriage immigrant women. The content of family life educational program was composed based on the family life education lesson of the home economics textbooks. The adequacy of the program content was verified by the two experts. The study subjects were the 14 marriage immigrant women living in J-gu of Seoul and the program was conducted for 3 days from September 16 to October 7 2014 at the Seoul J Multicultural Family Support Center. As for program evaluation, this study conducted both an objective evaluation and subjective evaluation (semi-structured interview and survey). The author of this study composed the questions of the objective evaluation on the basis of the previous studies and home economics textbooks. The aforementioned two experts verified the questions thereof. The important findings of this study are as follows. First, this study developed the family life educational program that consisted of a total of 8 rounds on the basis of "the happy family life education lesson led by family". Second, this study ensured that the family life educational program for marriage immigrant women would help understand the Korean traditional culture and also the family culture of their homeland. Also, this study aimed to allow the study subjects to develop an attitude to respect the diversity of family life culture. Third, it was found that the effectiveness of the program was statistically significant in the objective evaluation through the ex ante and ex post assessment as a result of the program effectiveness test. From the subjective evaluation, all the participants had a high degree of satisfaction with more than 4.0 points in all of the following areas: program objective achievement, adequacy of program contents and activities and program operation. As a result of the subjective evaluation through the semi-structured interview, this study confirmed a high level of desire for family life education through the willingness of marriage immigrant women to continue to learn the in-depth contents related to family life education. The above findings of this study imply that a family life educational program based on home economics can play a critical role in implementing a healthy family life education for marriage immigrant women.
This study aims to deeply analyze the subjective attitude of jazz performance audiences in Korea using Q methodology. In order to establish a population for the research, we decided 'People's mind about jazz performances' as the main topic and finally selected a Q model consist of 38 statements after having a depth interview with corresponding experts. Additionally, from January to February 2019, we implemented a Q-sorting and individual interview to total of 27 people including people majored in music, jazz club members and other citizens. The result were the following. First of all, a musical-interest oriented type. People of this type understood watching jazz performance as a daily leisure activity and went to watch a show more than once a month on overage. Those people obtained information of performances and actors before attending a show using social network such as SNS and jazz clubs. They also had a big desire to have an emotional interaction with jazz musicians while having a fan signing event or performance. Secondly, a general-interest oriented type. This type of people had a tendency of considering watching a jazz performance as a especial experience and not a daily life event. Attending a jazz performance was a novel experience which could be done with their close friends in a special day. Thirdly, people with self-value oriented type. This people were majored in jazz and classic in their universities. As they had a concrete perspective, professional knowledge and experiences, they were more sensitive on the general quality of the performances such as show's sound, light, video, sound system of the theater, player's ability, level of facilities, accessibility, etc. rather than the reputation of an artist. This research did not only revealed jazz audience's subjective tendency using Q methodology but also demonstrated the types of jazz audiences and their characteristics. Therefore, this could be a meaningful study for suggesting a significant implication for the marketing mix of performance planning on each jazz audience type.

Physical element and behavior element were analyzed through in-depth interview and data analysis for individual and microscopic historical process of life subjects being experienced in the street that is contrary to policy and plan. Finally, a semantic element was identified through questionnaire as to how people recognize current art street through a history being experienced as a venue of conflict of meaning. The goal of the study is to analyze some structural issues of e-sport industry which has rapidly developed since 2000. Most of the previous studies regarding e-sport dealt with e-sport in terms of industrial prospect and economic values. In this study, we attempted to focus on employees of the field using in-depth interview method. Research findings show that there were several reasons for younger workers to early enter into the industry such as individualized labor market of post-modern era, growth of IT industry, and diversion of related occupational categories. The development of e-sport industry was possible with the youth' passion for the industry. However, their labor so called "professional" is vulnerable without systematic structure for them. This indicates that industrial prospect of e-sport industry and business models are not healthy. In addition, some implications of the findings were discussed.

This study purported to evaluate the usefulness and feasibility of "Guidelines for contracting-out of public library services (2011)." The Guidelines have been developed by the Culture and Library Forum to provide principles and standards for local governments considering the contracting-out of public library services in their district. The research data were collected by conducting in-depth interviews with 17 local government officers who are responsible for the contracting-out of public library operations and two focus group interviews with eight directors of public libraries contracted out. It was found that the interview participants in both government and library sides generally perceived the Guidelines useful, yet their perceptions of feasibility in outsourcing were largely pessimistic due to local politics and many other hindrances in society. The study suggested specific directions to further improve the Guidelines' usefulness and feasibility.

This study aims to analyze the causes of conflict between street performing subjects and identify methods to induce their collaboration in promoting a creative city. This study proposes preventive mechanisms after identifying potential problems in performances on the streets of Jeju, which aims to become "the island of culture and art". To this aim, the type and relationship between the subjects of conflict, characters of conflict, solutions, extent and role of tolerance, responses of the subjects, and type of conflict management employed were examined and analyzed. We employed an in-depth interview method involving cases of conflict occurring during street performances in Jeju. were categorized into 6 types. First is conflict resulting from the lack of facilities. Second is conflict caused by non-designated performance venues. Third is conflict due to exclusive ambiance. Fourth is conflict resulting from direct engagement by neighboring residents. Fifth is conflict between residents and police during performances. Sixth is conflict by lack of definite relationship with relevant institutes. To systematically resolve these conflicts, we propose the following management methods: (1) behavioral approach of pretraining through a registration system; (2) establishment of busking zones and allocation after registration; (3) training of facilitators to manage street performances and extended roles; (4) establishment of standards for street performances through the systematic approach of ordinance; (5) training to secure tolerance of residents; and (6) simplification of deliberation process by building a collaborative system among institutes.
The purpose of this study is to examine parents' mental model of media environment and children's media use and to provide some educational suggestions. For this purpose, twelve parents of second-graders to fourth-graders sampled in elementary schools were interviewed with three activities such as a word-association experiment, a sentence completion task and a in-depth interview. The result was categorized into 8 elements such as interaction, source of supply and adverse effects. Furthermore, the analysis on the mental model of media use shows that firstly, the parents understand modern media reflects competence while they have a feeling of fear and newness on media themselves. Secondly, the parents show an ambivalent understanding on media use in terms of both negative and positive effects and have a tendency to control them. Another finding is the fact that the parents understand digital media as a representation of both connection and disconnection. Also, the parents realize media as a cause of conflict and as a place for reconciliation as well. Finally, it is showed that media is not only a personal territory but also a part of social system in the parents' understanding. Based on these findings, some interpretations and parents' educational applications are provided in terms of the Meyrowitz(1998; 1999)'s three perspectives on media.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to describe and understand self-care status of the aged diabetic patients with noncompliance after hospital discharge. Methods: A qualitative research method was used for the study design. The participants were 15 diabetic patients aged 65 or older who had been admitted more than two times for hyperglycemia in the past 1 year in a general hospital in Daegu. Data were collected from November 1 2015 to March 1 2016 through in-depth personal interview. Results: Patients' knowledge level on causes and symptoms of diabetes was low. Most participants rarely and irregularly checked blood sugar at home. They were under a lot of stress from their family. They considered the self-care education program unnecessary and there was limitations of accessibility for education. Conclusions: The aged diabetic patients who had the repeat admission did not perform self-care activities properly and had problems especially in blood glucose check, support from their family, and health education after returning home. More personalized and community-based self-management education programs will be necessary.
