This study investigated the effects of fashion consumer's browsing motives and risk perception on impulse buying and purchase intention in social commerce. The online survey results of 317 customers who experienced using fashion products via social commerce were used for the final analysis. Exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, and frequency analysis were conducted using SPSS 18.0, and confirmatory factor analysis and path analysis were performed with AMOS 18.0. Three browsing motives (hedonic motive, rational motive, and informational motive) and three risk perceptions (products-related risk, customer service risk, and opportunity loss risk) were identified. The results from the structure equation model were as follows. 1) It was deducted that the browsing motive did not have a significant effect on risk perception due to the rejection of most of the hypotheses in regards to the browsing motive influence on risk perception. 2) Product-related risk and customer service risk had a significantly negative effect on purchase intention. Opportunity loss risk had significantly positive effect on impulse buying and purchase intention. 3) Hedonic browsing motive had a significant effect on impulse buying, and rational motive had a significant effect on impulse buying and purchase intention. The informational browsing motive had a significant effect only on purchase intention.
Consumers seek the pleasure, fun and satisfaction in shopping. Retailing environments of apparel products are rapidly changing than ever before. One of there changes are offered apparel products with entertainment service, such as theaters, restaurants and so on. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of entertainment service, shopping orientation and emotion on impulse buying behavior in department stores an shopping malls. A self-administrated questionaire was developed based on the results of previous researches and pre-test. Data were obtained from shoppers(N=684) randomly selected in department stores and shopping malls located in Seoul and Busan. Data were analyzed by factor analysis, t-test, cross analysis, and path analysis. The results showed that; impulse buying behavior was directly or indirectly affected by shopping orientation in both of two store types. In department stores, consumers were affected to make a good mood by entertainment service while, in the shopping malls, consumers were influenced directly by entertainment service to be a good mood and to purchase impulsively apparel products. Therefore, the impulse buying behavior was influenced differently by entertainment service in store types. From the retailer's perspective, they give insights into the development of strategies utilized to marketing planning of entertainment service in each store types.
The purpose of this study is to find out the influences of consumers' shopping orientation and impulse buying orientation on shopping addiction to fashion products in the internet shopping malls. This study surveyed 521 male and female consumers in their 20s~40s in August 2012 who have purchased fashion products through internet shopping malls. For statistical analysis, descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, $x^2$-test, factor analysis, ANOVA analysis, Duncan test, and regression analysis were carried out using SPSS for Windows 12.0. The results are as follows. First, it was identified that there were not significant differences in consumers' demographic characteristics according to the level of internet shopping addiction consumer groups. Second, high level shopping addiction consumers were higher in pleasure/convenience seeking, fashion seeking, and brand seeking shopping orientations and in refreshing, non-plan shopping, recommendation from acquaintances, product stimulus, purchaser stimulus, sales promotion stimulus impulse buying orientations than low level consumers. Third, internet shopping addiction was significantly influenced by the pleasure/convenience, fashion, economic efficiency, brand, sale seeking shopping orientations and refreshing, non-plan shopping, sales promotion stimulus impulse buying orientations. The results of this study will help internet fashion enterprises to handle the consumers with shopping addiction as well as the consumers with high shopping addiction to be able to manage their shopping addiction themselves.
The college students selected by random sampling were classified into several groups by their cosmetic impulse buying pattern and the internal characteristics that cause them. Their shopping orientation, life styles, makeup self-confidence, makeup interest and self-image were the subjects of comparative analysis. The results of this research can be summarized as follows.; fashion leader was classified fashion dual leader, fashion opinion leader, fashion innovator and fashion follower. The fashion dual leader and fashion innovator were more impulse buying orientated. The fashion dual leader and fashion innovator were highly evaluated in intellectual self faithfulness and life decoration preference style. The fashion dual leader and fashion innovator attached great importance to leisure pursuit and name brand preferring shopping. They showed the tendencies to the makeup self-confidence and makeup interest. But the fashion follower showed quite different tendencies. The fashion dual leader and fashion innovator perceived themselves as varied life style. These internal characteristics were supposed to contribute to their impulse buying.
Purpose - This study aimed to understand the influence of visible factors directly shown to and experienced by consumers such as physical evidence, and invisible factors obtained through acquaintances or other experienced consumers such as word-of-mouth, in the discount stores' marketing communication on impulse buying intention and store loyalty. Research Design, Data, and Methodology - This study examined the effect of factors in discount stores' marketing communication, for instance, physical evidence, word-of-mouth, and buying impulse intention. The questionnaire survey resulted in 68 completed questionnaires. Results - Physical evidence and word-of-mouth have a statistically significant positive effect on store loyalty. The results of regression analysis regarding whether visible or invisible factors have more impact showed that word-of-mouth has a statistically significant positive effect on store loyalty. With regard to impulse buying intention, only word-of-mouth was statistically significant. Conclusion These results suggested that visible and invisible factors that appeal to customers are very important. In particular, the results suggested that stores should create invisible factors (e.g., positive word-of-mouth) for their customers.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the general tendencies and casual relations of demographic variables, consumer alienation, materialism and impulse buying among college students. Three hundred and forty one undergraduate students in Daejeon were participated in this study. Factor analysis, Multiple regression and Path analysis were used as statistical analysis. The major findings are as follows: 1. Consumer alienation of college students was divided into 4 types such as Powerlessness, Meaningless, Normlessness, Cultural Estrangement. The overall level of consumer alienation was 3.36. Normlessness(M=3.70) was the highest, and the lowest was powerlessness(M=2.82). Consumer alienation was influenced by gender, age, subjective level of living. Specifically, the lower the age and the subjective level of living were the higher meaningless and powerlessness respectively. And cultural estrangement was higher in male than female. However, normlessness was not affected by demographic variables. 2. The level of materialism of college students was relatively high(M=3.71). The materialism was affected by gender, age, allowance adequacy. 3. The level of impulse buying was higher than middle point(M=3.29). The results of path analysis showed that gender, age, allowance, allowance adequacy, socio-economic status, subjective level of living, powerlessness, materialism influence on impulse buying direct and indirect.

Thanks to the growth of information technology (IT), e-commerce transactions are rapidly developing. Consumers searched and purchased for products and services through e-commerce transactions and felt excitement and satisfaction through shopping behaviors in online shopping malls. The enlargement of company's marketing efforts and consumer tastes of the uncontrolled consumption for goods and services increased the impulsive purchase in online shopping malls. In diffusing consumers' e-impulse buying, consumers increased in expenditures according to unnecessary purchasing behavior in online shopping malls. However, enterprises increased sales and benefits due to consumers' impulse buying in online shopping malls. Accordingly, in research areas of enterprises and consumers levels, the studies of e-impulse buying will provide significant values for marketers of companies. In this study, we analyzed the relationships among intention to use, trust, and value in online shopping malls. And we also analyzed the moderating effect of e-impulse buying with utilitarian and hedonic value to establish trust in online shopping malls. The result of this study showed that hedonic and utilitarian value should have a positive impact trust and trust should have a positive impact intention to use in the online shopping malls. The e-impulsive buying showed a moderating effect on the relationship between hedonic value and trust in online shopping malls. The e-impulsive buying didn't show, however, a moderating effect on the between utilitarian value and trust in online shopping malls. The results of this study will provide valuable implications for implementing e-commerce strategies.

The college women students could be classified into several groups by their impulse buying orientations. 2. The student life styles were different by their shopping orientations. The high shopping involved shopping type and the leisure pursuit shopping type attached great importance to material life and modern life style. The economic shopping type took the intellectual self-image seriously, and the low shopping involved type thought much of the traditional life style. 3. The high shopping involved type and the leisure pursuit shopping type were more impulse buying oriented. They showed the tendencies to the fashion innovativeness and fashion opinion leadership. But the economic shopping involved shopping type and low shopping involved shopping type showed quite different tendencies. The high shopping involved shopping type and low shopping involved shopping type were contrast in their self-confidence in shopping. The former showed the highest self-confidence and the latter showed the lowest self-confidence. 4. The high shopping involved shopping type were more extroversive, dominant, sensitive and pioneering. These psychological characteristics were supposed to contribute to their impulse buying. 5. The high shopping involved shopping type and the leisure pursuit shopping type perceived themselves as more sophisticated, modern, creative and sociable. They thought they had diverse life styles. These two groups were more impulse buying oriented, and their self-images were different from economic shopping type and low shopping involved shopping type.
As live commerce, mobile sales platforms based on real-time content and text are drawing attention as a new marketing channel. In particular, the fashion industry also using live commerce as a new fashion distribution channel, requiring marketing strategies to utilize it efficiently. This study attempted to verify the effect of information source, sales promotion, and impulse buying tendency characteristics on fashion live commerce purchase intention. The experimental design of this study was 2(characteristics of information source: expertise vs attractiveness) × 2(sales promotion type: value-added vs price discount) × 2(impulse buying tendency: high vs low) three-way mixed analysis of variance(ANOVA). A convenience sampling of 264 women in their 20s and 50s living in Seoul and the Gyeonggi area who had purchased products through Live Commerce was conducted. For the final analysis, 240 questionnaires were used. Data were analyzed by the SPSS 26 program and three-way ANOVA. Simple main effects analysis was conducted. The results of this study follow. First, there were statistically significant differences in purchase intention according to consumers' impulse buying tendencies and sales promotions. Second, information source and sales promotion showed statistically significant interaction effects on purchase intention. Lastly, information source, sales promotion, and impulse buying tendency showed significant three-way interaction effects on fashion live commerce purchase intention. Therefore, conducting appropriate marketing analysis can result in positive attitudes regarding live commerce products and substantive increases in sales.

The sophistication of technology information has led to a series of innovative activities in the economy, particularly in buying and selling products and services both conventionally and online. Currently online activities provide opportunities for customers to get the desired needs. The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of website quality, hedonic shopping motivation, and impulse buying on customers' satisfaction of online shopping in Indonesia. Eight online marketplaces are the focus of this research. This study uses a quantitative approach. This is a structural equation research with data obtained from 177 students through an online questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale; the selection criteria is having shopped online from various universities in Indonesia. The statistical testing tool used is SPSS 26.0, with the effect between variables determined using Partial Least Square (SmartPLS 3.0). The findings of this study indicate that the nine proposed hypotheses are accepted, positively and significantly, directly or indirectly, which are supported by previous research to reinforce the findings that have been found. The interesting attributes associated with this study are hedonic shopping motivation and impulse buying that mediate the relationship between website quality and customer satisfaction of online shopping in Indonesia's marketplace.
