The purpose of this study is to investigate the improvement of prediction performance and changes in variable importance in SEM-ANN two-stage analysis. 366 cosmetics repurchase-related survey data were analyzed and the results were presented. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, in SEM-ANN two-stage analysis, SEM and ANN models were trained with train data and predicted with test data, respectively, and the R² was showed. As a result, the prediction performance was doubled from SEM 0.3364 to ANN 0.6836. Looking at this degree of R² improvement as the effect size f² of Cohen (1988), it corresponds to a very large effect at 110%. Second, as a result of comparing changes in normalized variable importance through SEM-ANN two-stage analysis, variables with high importance in SEM were also found to have high importance in ANN, but variables with little or no importance in SEM became important in ANN. This study is meaningful in that it increased the validity of the comparison by using the same learning and evaluation method in the SEM-ANN two-stage analysis. This study is meaningful in that it compared the degree of improvement in prediction performance and the change in variable importance through SEM-ANN two-stage analysis.

For the purpose of predicting credit card customer churn accurately through data analysis, a model can be constructed with various machine learning algorithms, including decision tree. And feature importance has been utilized in selecting better input features that can improve performance of data analysis models for several application areas. In this paper, a method of utilizing feature importance calculated from the MDI method and its effects are investigated in the credit card customer churn prediction problem with classification trees. Compared with several random feature selections from case data, a set of input features selected from higher value of feature importance shows higher predictive power. It can be an efficient method for classifying and choosing input features necessary for improving prediction performance. The method organized in this paper can be an alternative to the selection of input features using feature importance in composing and using classification trees, including credit card customer churn prediction.

중요도-실행도 분석은 성취도나 만족도에 관련된 의사결정이 필요한 다양한 분야에서 사용되는 간단하면서 함축적인 분석방법이다. 그 효과와 활용성이 많은 연구에 의하여 증거 되고 있으며, 통계학적인 면에서 연구할 여지가 많이 있다고도 사려 된다. 본 연구는 중요도-실행도 분석에 대한 몇 가지 부가적인 분석 방법을 소개하고 보다 정교한 정보들을 얻어낼 수 있음을 예를 통해 보였다. 중요도-실행도 분석은 산술평균을 기본 통계량으로 사용하고 있으나 중간값, 빈도, 군집 분석을 통한 자료 필터링을 통해 보다 핵심적인 정보에 기반 하는 중요도-실행도 분석을 실시하였다. 추가적으로 계층화 분석을 중요도-실행도 분석과결합하여 보다 적극적인의사결정이 가능함을 보였다.

The objective of this study is to provide improved methodology based on the IPA method. One case studies are solved by the proposed method. this study present the method that give value to use SN(Signal-to-Noise) ratio in IPA. A case study of lecture satisfaction are solved by the proposed method and the existing method. Also, the result is compared with the existing method using Mean and the proposed method using SN ratio.

Objectives : In this paper, we proposed a method to comprehensively examine the roles of medical insurance review nurses' by analyses of task importance and task performance. Methods : For the analyses, we used the responsesof 268 nurses who completed a questionnaire for members of the Medical Insurance Review Nurses Association in 2015, and analyzed task importance and task performance using the IPA method and the standard task guide. Results : There were significant differences in task importance and task performance according to task position. In the category of 'Keep up the good work,' 'Calculate benefit standard' was indicated only in administrative positions, and in the category of 'Concentrate here,' 'Manage hospital resources' and 'Process after appeal results' was demonstrated only in general positions. There were differences in the 'Low priority' and 'Possible overkill' categories by task performance according to task position. Conclusions : Our results indicate the necessity of a new education system and task reassignment according to task importance and task performance as perceived by medical insurance review nurses.

This research is a preliminary study to improve the criteria of youth facilities which regulated in Youth Fundamental Act, with the method of Importance-Performance Analysis on youth facilities management. Evaluation inquiry had been made, and were collected from the youth facility managers who attended The Korean Youth Facility Managers' Seminar held on 24th Nov. 1994 at Pakdaljae Youth Center. The results are as follows; 1. Keep Up the Good Work : indoor facilities in community area, and outdoor facilities and accommodations in natural area are resulted in high in Importance and. Performance. They need to be operated constantly. 2. Concentrate Here : Counselling room, hobby room and outdoor meeting places in community area, and care room in natural area are perceived high in Importance but low in Performance. They need to provide proper leaders and equipment. 3. Low Priority : Care room, forest and outdoor facilities in community area, arid forest and folk playground in natural area are low in both Importance and Performance. So, it is considered that they are not necessary ones in both areas, but some outdoor facilities are so essential in natural area that they need to be provided properly. 4 Possible Overkill : Courtyard and library in community area, and outdoor facilities in natural area are low in Importance but high in Performance. They need to improve their importance through the development of applicable activity programs.

Human reliability attempts to make precise quantitative analyses and predictions of the performance of human-machine(or product) systems. In order to yield more precise human error analysis, precise human error probabilities(HEPs) must be used in the analysis. However, because human behavior is influenced by factors that are called performance shaping factors(PSFs), the effects of PSFs must be considered to obtain precise HEPs, These are called basic HEPs or situation-specific HEPs. This paper presents a theoretical method for obtaining basic HEPs (i.e. , considering PSFs) in quantitative human error analysis. In this method, the weight which characterizes the degree of importance of several PSFs is obtained by the analytic hierarchy process. The quality scores of PSFs in the task situation are obtained by percentile concept. These scores are used in conjunction with the relative Importance weights of PSFs to compute the composite quality percentile score of PSFs in the task situation. Then, a new mapping method of the composite quality percentile score of PSFs into a situation-specific basic HEP is proposed with a numerical example.

현재 수립된 대부분의 대중교통관련 계획에서는 투자우선순위를 결정함에 있어 중요도(importance) 분석 없이 시설물 조사와 설문 조사를 통해 시설물에 대한 설치율과 만족도(performance)가 낮은 항목을 우선적으로 고려하여 투자순위를 결정하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 구조방정식모형(SEM: Structural Equation Model)을 활용하여 버스 이용자의 통행시간에 대한 중요도와 만족도를 동시에 고려할 수 있는 중요도-만족도 분석(IPA: Importance-Performance Analysis) 기법을 제시하였다. 수도권과 비수도권을 대상으로 버스이용자에 대한 IPA 분석을 실시한 결과 수도권의 경우 우선적인 개선이 필요한 항목으로는 버스정차횟수, 교차로수, 배차간격, 승차대기시간 및 신호체계 순서로 분석되었고, 비수도권의 경우 수도권의 역순인 신호체계, 승차대기시간, 배차간격, 버스전용차로 및 교차로수 순서로 분석되었다.

Purpose: The purpose is to understand the perception of medical providers at tertiary hospitals in Seoul on the importance-performance of the reform on a doctor-designation system, and to provide the policy suggestion of the perception on such a system. Methodology: To achieve the purpose, this study utilized structured survey tools to conduct a questionnaire survey of nursing, administrative and medical technology professionals at six tertiary hospitals in Seoul. An importance-performance analysis was utilized for an analysis that showed the perception of the reform on a doctor-designation system. Findings: First, it was identified that those medical providers had the highest perception of the importance about the performance of the reform on a doctor-designation system. Second, according to the result of action grid of an importance-performance analysis (IPA), it can be identified that in the 2nd stage of 'Concentrate here' included are the items as to design and effect of medical care quality and subsidies & patient infection and safety and control fees, effect of income security of the method for compensating for loss established by the government and offering sufficient information on general medical services and doctor-designation medical services. In the 1st stage of 'Keep up the Good Work', and the 2nd stage of 'Concentrate here' included is the item as to the performance of patients of the reform on a doctor designation system. Practical Implications: There could be identified the effect of the reform bill on the perception of medical providers. It is expected that a better environment would be provided for patients to use a hospital and for medical providers to offer medical services, if the goverment makes efforts to improve methods for compensating for loss and continuous monitoring of the performance of patients.

This study aimed to provide basic data for the national park management by analysing visitors' behavior and satisfaction determinants by importance-performance analysis and estimated regression analysis through post-occupancy evaluation questionnaire method to the Gyeongju National Park visitors. It was found that facilities and use management according to place and use group, the diversity of visit program, high quality of guidance and hospitality of staffs and conservation of historic and landscape resources for Gyeongju National Park were necessary as the results of behavior analysis, importance-performance analysis. The historic landscape resources, hospitality of staffs, visit road and safety facilities, commercial facilities were important determinants of users' satisfaction as the results of regression analysis. It suggested the characteristics of Gyeongju National Park and these factors were the most important factors for the improved management.
