Effects of Tourism Marketing Communication on Destination Brand Equity (관광마케팅커뮤니케이션이 관광지 브랜드자산에 미치는 영향)

  • This study is to analyse which tourism marketing communication influences on the tourism destination brand equity. Three factors of advertising, publicity, and the words of mouth of tourism destinations were set as tourism marketing communication in order to understand effects of tourism marketing communication on tourism destination brand equity, and tourism destination brand equity was deducted as three factors of brand awareness, brand image, and brand loyalty in order to understand each influential relationship. As a result of empirical analysis, advertising and publicity of tourism destination have positive influence on brand image and words of mouth about tourism destination has positive influence on all brand awareness and brand image. Brand awareness and brand image both have significant effect on brand loyalty, and it was verified that words of mouth about tourism destination among factors of tourism marketing communication has the highest influence.

An Augmented Memory System using Associated Words and Social Network Service (소셜네트워크 서비스와 연상단어를 활용한 증강기억 시스템)

  • As time goes by, most of information escapes human being's memory even though he/she tries hard to remember the information. On the other hand, when a human being takes a look at an image, he/she recollects once forgotten past memories and relates a specific object in the photo with associated words, which trigger new memories. Beside, he/she feels the affection of that time by the recalled memory. Therefore, this paper proposes an augmented memory system that assists recollection of user's past memories by using the images in social network services and user's dictionary for associated words. In the proposed system, if a user selects an object in an image, words associated with the object is provided to the user. If the user selects one of the associated words, the proposed system offers the list of other images containing the object of the selected word. The repetition of the aforementioned process can make the user recollect his/her memory and stimulate his/her affection. It is expected that the proposed system will be useful for revitalizing social network services.

  • This paper proposes a new image processing algorithm to recognize korean documents. It take out the region of text area form input image, then it makes esgmentation of lines, words and characters in the text. A precision segmentation is very important to recognize the input document. The input image has 8-bit gray scaled resolution. Not only the histogram but also brightness dispersion graph are used for segmentation. The result shows a higher accuracy of document recognition.

Analysis of Mission Statement of Social Welfare Centers (사회복지관의 조직 사명문 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze mission statements of social welfare centers. For this, we collected mission statements of 385 social welfare centers nationwide. We analyzed data using the NVivo 10 program. Analysis results found the total number of collected words was 1,401. The number of words corresponding to the target of organizations was 448 (32.0%), the number of words corresponding to problems was 51 (3.6%), the number of words corresponding to the directionality 118 (8.4%), the number of words corresponding to strategy was 545 (38.9%), and the number of words corresponding to organization's image was 239 (17.1%). Second, the words of the intervention target were resident of community, local community and community. Intervention issues included community problems, poverty, and social isolation. The words of the organizational directivity included welfare community/village, social welfare, and empowerment. Words related to organizational strategy were formation/building, sharing/serving, and improvement/development/improvement. Words related to the organizational image included in the mission statements were the welfare center, we, the professional agency, and the neighbors. By analyzing the mission statements, we found that social welfare centers portrayed its identity based on 'locality'. The distribution of the words related to the community was high in both the target, target, and direction. The limitations of this study include the exclusion of analyzing the relationship between organizational mission and organizational performance. This should be considered in future studies.

The Desired Self-Images and the Fashion Product Unities of Male College Students according to Situation (남자대학생의 의복 착용상황별 추구이미지와 패션상품통일체)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the desired seIf-images of male college students according to situations, and to construct fashion product unities bought by male college students for different situations. Empirical data were collected by self-administered questionnaires distributed to male students at 4 universities and 2 colleges in Daegu and Gyeongbuk area during June 2005, and 346 were analyzed, eliminating incomplete ones. Subjects were required to respond to 32 desired image words in 4 different situations respectively: school, meeting girlfriends, ceremonies, and exercises. As a result of factor analysis on desired self-image words, 5 factors were determined: refined image, sporty image, classic image, natural image and simple image. Based on the desired self-image factors, male college students were classified into 3 groups: selective image management group, passive image management group, and active Image management group. Fashion product unity of male college students for the school setting was consisted of round shirts, jeans, running shoes, bags and watches. Aloha shirts/knitted shirts/V-neck shirts, cotton pants/jeans/semi -formal pants, formal shoes/running shoes and watches were the fashion product unity for the setting of meeting girlfriends. For the setting of ceremonies, the fashion product unity included Y-shirts, formal dress, formal shoes, neckties and watches. And for the setting of exercises, the fashion product unity included cotton shirts, training suits, running shoes/jogging shoes/basketball shoes, armguard and caps.

A Comparative Study on the Image characteristics in Traditional Palaces of Korea, China and Japan (한 중 일 궁궐 건축의 이미지 특성 비교 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to find the unique image characteristics of Korea and identify the Korea culture by comparing the image characteristics of traditional palaces of Korea, China and Japan. This study identifies the unique image characteristics of Korea through a comparative analysis the image of three nations. Literature research, free association measurement, survey were conducted to select study objects and descriptive words. 5 outside-pictures and 2 inside-pictures of the Changduckung, the Forbidden City, the Nijo castle representing each country's traditional palaces were chosen as study objects. A questionnaire was made with 47 descriptive words and 5-scale measurement. The results of analysis are as follows. The representative words to express the image characteristics of Korea, China and Japan traditional palaces are adornment, stability, openness, lines, unfamiliarity, feminine. This study researched the common and different factors between the image characteristics in traditional palaces of Korea, China and Japan. The common image is the image of lines. The distinctive characteristics of Korea are stability, curved lines and femininity. The characteristics of China are adornment and straight lines. And, the characteristics of Japan are simplicity, unfamiliarity, and openness. Based on the research, it was found out that stability and curved lines are the main characteristics of Korea. This study researches the characteristics of images of Korea, China and Japan. This study shows the common and different factors of image characteristics of in the neighboring three nations of East Asia. Due to the geographical and cultural effect over a long time, the Korea was evaluated as the middle cultural between China and Japan. However, this study found unique characteristics of Korea's image.

  • Animation works have been peformed by the objective sensitivity and experience so far. Software designs have been also manufactured based on intelligent data because they are easy to objectify and digitalize. In contrast, there are many elements, which human senses are hard to objectify and digitalize. This study investigates how to digitalize and objectify human senses and how to use them as the quantitative data and its subject is a flying path. In the experiment, this study collects some sensitive words for how human beings express the living path. The evaluation words for sensitivity through the collected sensitive words are extracted and the sketch images for the flying path are collected from the extracted evaluation words for sensitivity. Based on the collected sketch images, the samples of real moving image, which are the core of this study, are manufactured. Then, quantification theory III and I are used in order to analyze the correlation between the sensitive words representing the flying path and the samples of moving image. As a result, this study can figure out the structure of sensitive words and the samples of moving image and analyze the physical stimulating elements for the flying path. The flying path corresponds to the path that the object has passed. Some unique sensitive words are expressed by means of interacting some sensitive stimulating elements after looking at such a path. There are some elements that stimulate the senses and they include the physical elements such as speed, rotation, pattern and length of arc. The purpose of this study is to objectify and quantify the animation works that are created by animators' subjective thought and experience and to use them in animation works in the future.

  • This study aims to analyze the effects that video image in Seo-an's , claiming to China's first gigantic historic dance drama, has on the performance; it focuses on investigating which video image is used to accomplish the effects in showing specific themes and materials in . Image is meant by 'reflection of object', such as movie, television, dictionary, etc, with its coverage being extensive. The root of a word, image', is founded on imitary, signifying specifically and mentally visual representation. In other words, video image is considered combination of two synonymous words, 'video' and 'image'. Video is not just comprehension of traditional art genre, like literary value, theatrical qualities, and artistry of scenario, but wholeness as product, integrating original functions of all kinds of art and connecting subtle image creation of human being. The effects of video image represented in are as followings; first, expressive effect of the connotative meaning, reflecting the spirit of the age and its culture. Second, imaginary identification. Third, transformation scene. Fourth, dramatic interest through immersion. Last but not least, visual effect by dint of dimension of performance.

A Study on the Color Planning System Based on Fuzzy Set Theory (퍼지이론을 이용한 색채계획 시스템에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, a fuzzy set based decision support system is designed for the color planning, that uses the linguistic image words of the space to be colored and progressively recommend the harmoneous colors for each objects in the space. The linguistic image words denotes various emotional effects of the colored space represented as the adjectives like 'romantic', 'beautiful', and so on. The search for object color should not destroy the overall image of the colored space and should be harmoneous with the previously determined object colors. The developed color planning system is composed of five subsystems; two dimentional graphic tools to draw the color space, the input system to receive the linguistic image words, the system to determine and recommend the main colcrs, the system to determine the harmonious colors and the system to adjust the determined wlor objects. We expect that the system can help designers and the persons who are not good at color design, and it can be applied to various color design such as interior, fashions, and product design.

Spatio-temporal Semantic Features for Human Action Recognition

  • Most approaches to human action recognition is limited due to the use of simple action datasets under controlled environments or focus on excessively localized features without sufficiently exploring the spatio-temporal information. This paper proposed a framework for recognizing realistic human actions. Specifically, a new action representation is proposed based on computing a rich set of descriptors from keypoint trajectories. To obtain efficient and compact representations for actions, we develop a feature fusion method to combine spatial-temporal local motion descriptors by the movement of the camera which is detected by the distribution of spatio-temporal interest points in the clips. A new topic model called Markov Semantic Model is proposed for semantic feature selection which relies on the different kinds of dependencies between words produced by "syntactic " and "semantic" constraints. The informative features are selected collaboratively based on the different types of dependencies between words produced by short range and long range constraints. Building on the nonlinear SVMs, we validate this proposed hierarchical framework on several realistic action datasets.
