  • This study aims to develop workwear prototypes by applying a systematic approach considering the characteristics of workwear. A case study was conducted before this study to derive workwear's four characteristics: 'Ergonomic Pattern-Making, Certified Fabric, Specialized Color, and Customized Details.' a prior study proposed the integrated framework combining these characteristics with the FEA model. The new framework identified that these characteristics are considered in terms of functionality, expression, and aesthetics; it can increase workers' satisfaction and meet the market demand without concentrating on only particular aspects. Before prototype production, the requirements for each characteristic of workwear were analyzed through theoretical research of previously published related papers. The study primarily gathered workwear requirements data and sources from consumer satisfaction surveys and investigations into the wearing conditions of work clothes. When considering all aspects of pattern-making, fabric, color, and detail in functionality, 'comfort movement, body protection, improved work efficiency' were identified as necessary. Expressive requirements were fundamental, including 'reflecting the wearer's preferences, expressing a sense of belonging and identity. It was clear that incorporating design elements and applying current trends to the aesthetic requirements of work clothes was necessary. Four prototypes comprised two top and bottom sets and two overalls using these requirements. The framework was used throughout the entire process of planning, producing, and evaluating prototypes, and through this, the results fulfilled the requirements. This study is significant because it produced workwear prototypes using an integrated approach that considered functional, expressive, and aesthetic aspects.

  • The subject of "Design Requirements" (DR) is central to the design of software and engineering systems. The main reason for this is that quality aspects are usually closely tied to requirements, among other things. In this review paper, we consider how the subject of requirements is being managed in these two seemingly different design disciplines. Two important aspects are covered, namely: (a) requirements development, describing various activities leading to requirements documentation, and (b) requirements change management, describing various activities needed for the proper treatment of the inevitable changes in requirements. Similarities and differences on how these two aspects are handled in software and engineering systems are highlighted. It is concluded from this literature survey that the management of software requirements is quite coherent and well established as a science. On the other hand, management of engineering systems requirements suffer from being unstructured, in particular when requirements changes are involved. Important gaps and future important research areas are identified.

  • Safety requirements for aircraft and system functions include minimum performance constraints for both availability and integrity of the function. These safety requirements should be determined by conducting a safety assessment. The depths and contents of aircraft system safety assessment vary depending on factors such as the complexity of the system, how critical the system is to flight safety, what volume of experience is available on the type of system and the novelty and complexity of the technologies being used. Requirements that are defined to prevent failure conditions or to provide safety related functions should be uniquely identified and traceable through the levels of development. This will ensure visibility of the safety requirements at the software and electronic hardware design level. This paper has prepared to study on promoting the efficiency of establishing hierarchical safety requirements from aircraft level function to item level through system safety processes.

  • This paper describes the results of applying States and Modes Analysis, one of the requirements analysis techniques, to the development requirements of flight control software for Smart UAV. State/mode table enabled us to investigate various operation and design concepts, and as a result essential requirements for flight control software were established without omitting necessary requirements. Through the use of scenario-specific state transition diagrams, dynamic behaviours and control/response interfaces between each state and mode could been clearly identified, which made it possible to establish requirements related to dynamic behaviours of states and modes which are essential to the design of flight control software.

  • Value-based requirements engineering process, called The ViRE(Value-Innovative Requirement Engineering) was suggested to create an uncontested market using ERRC(Eliminate, Reduce, Raise, Create) requirements analysis. But ViRE did not provides a quantitative data analysis method for ERRC decision so as to make objective decisions for customers. In this paper, to solve this problem, we suggest a quantitative ERRC analysis method by estimating requirements cost. Our method defines user requirements and decides their weight. Then, it makes quality level table for all the identified requirements and function modules and estimate implementation cost based on their quality levels. Finally, assess each requirement's impact and then evaluate ERRC value. We could get the more objective ERRC values by evaluate the requirement weight. functional module weight, and implementation cost. And we proved the efficiency of our model by a case study, smart student ID system.

  • This paper addresses mobility management (MM) requirements and framework for systems beyond IMT-2000 (SBI2K), based on the standardization works that has so far been done in ITU-T study group 19. We first identify the requirements for MM in SBI2K. Based on the identified MM requirements, we describe the MM framework for location management and handover management for SBI2K. We then review and analyze some of the existing IP-based MM protocols. From the analysis and comparison, we see that the existing MM schemes cannot meet all of the MM requirements for SBI2K. It is naturally concluded that further work is needed to enhance the available MM schemes SBI2K.

  • This study aimed to analyze the quality concepts and requirements of digital records as evidence and to find an implication to develop requirements for trusted digital records with securing authoritative qualities. To this end, this study compared requirements of records domain linking records process, records metadata and records systems with judicial domain on digital evidence, and identified the records requirements to secure the legal admissibility linking records and judicial domain. This study analyzed the relationship of quality concepts between digital records and digital evidence, found the legal admissibility is highly related to the reliability, and derived that it needs the measure to secure the reliability at the stage of records creation and capture. To prove authenticity of digital evidence, this study identified importance of records process, records metadata and records system, and proposed the necessity of measurement to secure records' evidence.

  • This paper proposes an effective method on the DFILS(Design for Integrated Logistics Support) in ammunition development applying QFD(Quality Function Deployment) method. The goal of this research is to define the Design for ILS approach at the start of the ammunition development and to yield a set of reusable requirements. Based on 000mm High-Explosive(Warship ammunition) development work, a QFD software tool, CUPID, was used to analyze and define the field force's requirements. Additionally, a set of reusable requirements are identified and defined for use during the Design for ILS development phase in the next-generation ammunition development process. These set of requirements that consider both the priority and importance of the VOC(Voice of Customer) will contribute to the early phase of the ammunition development to implement the Design for ILS specialty engineering effort.

  • Catalog serves a dual purposes. One is finding function(or identifying function) that is identified and located specific items and the other is collocating function which is displayed specific author's all works and all related editions. This study is re-examined the functions of catalog. For catalog's effective serving this study is provided and overviewed the FRBR(Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Record) models as reference conceptual model for functions of catalog.
