  • This paper considers a packet-scheduling algorithm for a given combined traffic of unicast and multicast data packets and proposes a hybrid router with several dedicated buses for multicast traffic. Our objective is to develop a scheduling algorithm that minimizes schedule length for the given traffic in the hybrid router. We derive a lower bound and develop an optimal solution algorithm for the hybrid router.

Hybrid Noc 시스템을 위한 재구성 가능한 스위치 설계 (Design of a Dynamically Reconfigurable Switch for Hybrid Network-on-Chip Systems)

  • 본 논문은 다양한 멀티미디어 어플리케이션을 수행하는 hybrid NoC 시스템을 위한 새로운 동적 재구성 가능한 스위치를 제안한다. 기존의 고정된 스위치와 job 분배 알고리듬을 사용하는 hybrid NoC 구조는 효과적인 동작을 위하여 해당 NoC 시스템에서 수행될 어플리케이션을 정확히 예측해야 한다. 본 논문은 NoC 시스템에서 수행되는 다양한 멀티미디어 어플리케이션에 대하여 버퍼 오버플로우를 최소화할 수 있는 재구성 가능한 스위치 구조를 제안한다. 제안된 시스템의 검증을 위하여 임베디드 시스템에서 사용되는 다양한 멀티미디어 어플리케이션 중 MPEG4 동영상 재생, MP3재생, GPS 위치 계산, OFDM 복조를 대상으로 실험하였다. 버퍼 오버플로우는 단일구조의 서브 클러스터로 mesh 토폴로지와 star 토폴로지를 갖는 NoC와 비교하여 각각 평균 41.8%와 29.0%의 감소를 보인다. 전력 소모에서는 고정된 스위치를 사용한 hybrid NoC 구조와 비교하여 평균 2.3%의 증가를 보인다. 면적에서는 서브 클러스터의 구조에 따라 -0.6% ${\sim}$ 5.7% 의 증가를 보인다.

  • The new engineering challenges lead to a control of a vehicle more and more complex. To tackle this issue, Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) simulation is used in the development of real-time embedded systems. In this paper, the control of a double parallel hybrid vehicle is validated using a reduced power HIL simulation. A graphical description is used in order to organize the emulation and control. Some experimental results of a versatile testbed are given for the Peugeot $3{\infty}8$ HYbrid4.

  • In this study, an intelligent scheduling with hybrid architecture, which integrates expert system and neural network, is proposed. Neural network is trained with the data acquired from simulation model of FMC to obtain the knowledge about the relationship between the state of the FMC and its best dispatching rule. Expert system controls the scheduling of FMC by integrating the output of neural network, the states of FMS, and user input. By applying the hybrid system to a scheduling problem, the human knowledge on scheduling and the generation of non-logical knowledge by machine teaming, can be processed in one scheduler. The computer simulation shows that comparing with MST(Minimum Slack Time), there is a little increment in tardness, 5% growth in flow time. And at breakdown, tardness is not increased by expert system comparing with EDD(Earliest Due Date).

  • This paper presents hybrid artificial intelligent(HAI) controller based on the vector controlled IPMSM drive system. And it is based on artificial technologies that adaptive neural network fuzzy(A-NNF) is to speed control and artificial neural network(ANN) is to speed estimation. The salient feature of this technique is the HAI controller The hybrid action tolerates any inaccuracies in the fuzzy logic assignment rules or in the neural network stationary weights. Speed estimators using feedforward multilayer and artificial neural network(ANN) are compared. The back-propagation algorithm is easy to derived the estimated speed tracks precisely the actual motor speed. This paper presents the theoretical analysis as well as the simulation results to verify the effectiveness of the new hybrid intelligent control.

  • 본 논문에서는 Ad Hoc Network에서 사용되는 proactive 라우팅 프로토콜과 reactive 라우팅 프로토콜의 혼합인 hybrid 라우팅 프로토콜에 대해 제안하였다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 hybrid라우팅 프로토콜이 ZRP와는 달리 Ad hoc 네트워크를 구성하는 노드들 중에 네트워크 서비스를 제공해주는 특별한 노드를 설정하여 라우팅 하는 방법을 제안한다. 이러한 역할을 해주는 특별한 노드를 본 논문에서는 C-Node라 부른다. C-Node를 이용한 라우팅으로 기존의 라우팅 프로토콜보다 경로 설정 시간과 flooding시간을 줄임으로서 효율적인 라우팅을 수행할 수 있게 된다.

  • 본 논문에서는 여러 환경 변화에 민감한 특성을 가지고 있는 얼굴 인식의 성능 향상을 위해 혼합형 신경회로망 방식을 제안한다. 제안한 방식은 SOM과 LVQ를 이용하여 얼굴 인식의 성능을 향상시킨다. 제안한 방식의 유용성을 확인하기 위하여 ORL의 얼굴 영상을 이용하여 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과 제안한 방식이 고유얼굴 방식이나 은닉 마코프 모델 방식, 다층 신경회로망 방식보다 우수함을 확인하였다.

SDN-based Hybrid Distributed Mobility Management

  • Distributed mobility management (DMM) does not use a centralized device. Its mobility functions are distributed among routers; therefore, the mobility services are not limited to the performance and reliability of specific mobility management equipment. The DMM scheme has been studied as a partially distributed architecture, which distributes only a packet delivery domain in combination with the software defined network (SDN) technology that separates the packet delivery and control areas. Particularly, a separated control area is advantageous in introducing a new service, thereby optimizing the network by recognizing the entire network situation and taking an optimal decision. The SDN-based mobility management scheme is studied as a method to optimize the packet delivery path whenever a mobile node moves; however, it results in excessive signaling processing cost. To reduce the high signaling cost, we propose a hybrid distributed mobility management method and analyze its performance mathematically.

A Hybrid Routing Protocol Based on Bio-Inspired Methods in a Mobile Ad Hoc Network

  • Networks in Mobile ad hoc contain distribution and do not have a predefined structure which practically means that network modes can play the role of being clients or servers. The routing protocols used in mobile Ad-hoc networks (MANETs) are characterized by limited bandwidth, mobility, limited power supply, and routing protocols. Hybrid routing protocols solve the delay problem of reactive routing protocols and the routing overhead of proactive routing protocols. The Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) algorithm is used to solve other real-life problems such as the travelling salesman problem, capacity planning, and the vehicle routing challenge. Bio-inspired methods have probed lethal in helping to solve the problem domains in these networks. Hybrid routing protocols combine the distance vector routing protocol (DVRP) and the link-state routing protocol (LSRP) to solve the routing problem.
