The purpose of this study is to discuss what the incorporation of humanistic imagination into mathematics means to mathematics education and to suggest implications for mathematics education in school mathematics. Traditionally, mathematics has been perceived to be far from our life problems because it targets logical and pure abstract thinking. According to international mathematics and science studies such as TIMSS and PISA, Korean students have relatively high mathematics achievement in the international research, but their attitude toward mathematics is very negative and their awareness of why they are learning mathematics and their satisfaction with life is low. In mathematics education, linking mathematics with humanities imagination allows students to view problems of human life from a humanities perspective, and to have an understanding of others and reflect on themselves from a new perspective. The researcher introduces several examples of whether mathematics and humanistic imagination can be combined for mathematics education. In this study, the ultimate reason for learning mathematics is to achieve learners to realize the principles of life or Dharma, and to live a happier life. However, in order to expand its rich meaning by making these new attempts in mathematics education, the researcher argued that tolerance and patience are needed for many challenges and difficulties in improving the quality of mathematics content itself including applying humanistic imagination to mathematics properly.

The purpose of this study to understand the vocational education of China and to analyze the developing process of vocational education in China. Recently, the major countries of the world of modern society has its government leaders is how much to foster creativity and the rise and fall depending on whether they really value is determined claims. There are 1327 Tertiary Vocational Colleges, with 10 million students in 2015. Together with 14million secondary vocational education students, China owns the largest scale of vocational education in the world. China has not fully established a modern market. Under the economy, the enterprise was the administrative adjunct of the state, and the enterprise was the social and political production function, and the political ethics prevailed that ethics. Literature review and historial approach were utilized as the methodology for this study. The system of vocational education in China is composed of elementary, secondary, and higher stage. The vocational education in China has been developed flexibly along with the social change while keeping the main philosophy of Chinese socialism. The main factors to bring about the change of vocational education in China is, political and philosophical, economical change.

In recent years, most domestic colleges of engineering are continuously trying to enhance the quality of education in engineering so as to meet the international requirement of education standards of this era. In consequence, the colleges are willing to acquire the accreditation of education by the ABEEK (Accreditation Board for Engineering Education of Korea) so that they can find the right way for the education of engineering and establish concrete educational programs in engineering. In this contribution, we exemplify a case of the College of Engineering in Mokwon University to survey and analyze the current state of education in engineering. We adopt the AS-IS and TO-BE analysis model to assess the system and try to figure out the right way for custom-designed education. The analysis helps understanding of the current situation of local private universities and consequently be used as important data for acquiring the engineering accreditation for global standard.

As the importance of software has become more widely recognized, many Korean universities are designating software classes as an essential subject. However, there is a difficulty in achieving the educational goal because the education is done without sufficient understanding of the non-Major learner. Therefore, in this paper, we analyze the opinions of the humanities college students who have taken the software basic education course and confirm the changes of the students' digital minds. Based on this, we suggest considerations for the basic software education for non-Majors. The results of the analysis show that pre-admission software education does not contribute much to university education, while students respond positively to the practice-based education using student-oriented project subjects. Therefore, it is desirable to provide an environment where learners can gradually develop their digital minds by providing students with more software access opportunities based on hands-on practice in basic software education for non-Majors.

Most universities have been concerned about Liberal Education; whether is it on universal truth, or on training job-specialists? In consequence, the curricula have been reformed and promoted diversely. In this aspect, has been developed as convergence education. I selected two easy and short texts and tried to make the students practice and memorize the dialogues as many as possible. At the end of the class, the students presented given assignments, with theatrical performance. This study carried out the research of students' presentation and theatrical performances on the basis of group study, together with a survey of the results of questionnaires and lecture evaluation. Therefore it was a exploratory study to check out significance of variables through the correlation analysis. The students' questionnaires showed the improvement of their English ability, together with their knowledge about literature and drama, cultivating humanities through the theatrical performance. It may be said that has achieved multi-functional effects of English class converged literature, theatre and humanities even for one semester.

Private security has the common job characteristics of the police and crime prevention, and is responsible for the safety of our society. However, the hiring process for private security is very different from that of the police. Therefore, in this study, the problems of the private security recruitment process were identified through the police recruitment process and improvement points were suggested. As a result of comparing and examining the recruitment process of the police, the recruitment of private security guards is carried out through education and training, and problems such as the training process and physical strength verification required for security work were investigated. In order to improve the problems in the private security recruitment process, the curriculum of criminal law and criminology, physical examination such as 100m running and left and right grip strength, and practical cases of security work should be added. It is hoped that this study will serve as a basic data for the development of the private security industry along with the recruitment of excellent security guards.

The main goal of higher education institutions is to present a high level of quality education to its students. This study uses data mining techniques to extract educational data from cumulative databases and used them to make the right decisions. This paper also aims to find the factors affecting students' academic performance in Majmaah University, KSA, during 2010 - 2017 period. The study utilized a sample of 6,158 students enrolled from two colleges, males and females. The results showed a high percentage of stumbling and dismissed between graduate and regular students where more than 62.5% failed to follow the plan. Only 2% of students scored distinction during their study of all graduated since their grade point average, secondary level, was statistically significant, where p<0.05. Dismissed percentage was higher among males. These results promoted some recommendations in which decision-makers could take them in considerations for better improvement of academic achievements: including of specialized programs to follow-up in regards to stumbling and failure. Utilization of different communication tools are needed to activate academic advisory for dismiss and dropout evaluation.

Background: In this study, the degree of anxiety, depression, and stress caused by coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) was identified, as well as the need for psychological prevention measures among medical students in the Daegu region that was designated the first special disaster area due to the spread of COVID-19. Methods: The subjects of this study were 318 medical students in Daegu who voluntarily participated in an online test using the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale and Impact of Event Scale-Revised Korean version. As a result of the test, risk students received immediate telephone counseling, and the effect of this telephone counseling was analyzed. Results: There were no differences in depression, anxiety, or stress according to gender and grade. As a result of immediate telephone counseling for risk students, significant differences were found in depression, anxiety, and stress, and the counseling was found to be effective. Conclusion: For medical students who are easily exposed to stress, the importance of psychological prevention measures and effectiveness of non-face-to-face counseling should be recognized. In the field of medical education, we must do our best to build a system that can be used immediately at the appropriate time for these programs.

This study analyses the cross-application system, one of the diversified college admission processes, based on the entrance examination system by the reorganization of the education curriculum. In addition, this study suggests an improvement direction of mathematics education for students who cross-apply by comparing and analysing academic results in Calculus for those students entering universities through the cross-application system.

In this paper, we try to criticize a bias that liberal arts are not practical. First, I introduce holistic models of knowledge and constructivism in education. Second, I suggest 'linguistic turn' as another noticeable phenomenon. Language is an element of culture, but a priviledged one because culture, in itself, is linguistic. So culture is a sort of a text. We can see that liberal arts or humanities to deal with texts, contexts and languages can have an important role to read, understand and construct a world. So the rediscovery of the traditional model of the education of liberal arts like processes of graduating studies of liberal arts or humanities, is relevant to a new 'practical' model of reading and leading recent social transformations. An important point is academic contribution. And current situation called 'Knowledge-Based Society' also supports my point in another way. The situation of rapidly changing knowledge requires an education of problem-solving ability by unifying and reconstructing knowledge supporting with constructivism in education rather than the cramming system of education.
