인적자원유연성이 조직몰입에 미치는 영향: 자기효능감의 매개효과를 중심으로 (The Impacts of Human Resource Flexibility on Organizational Commitment Through the Mediating Effects of Self-efficacy)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 인적자원유연성이 조직몰입에 미치는 영향을 검증함과 동시에 인적자원유연성과 조직몰입 간의 관계에서 자기효능감의 매개효과를 실증하는 것이다. 이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위하여 중국 내 서비스 업종에 근무하는 직원을 대상으로 설문조사를 진행하여 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 인적자원의 유연성의 하위요인인 기술유연성, 행동유연성, 관계유연성은 모두 조직몰입에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미친다는 것이 실증되었다. 둘째, 인적자원유연성과 조직몰입 간의 관계에서 자기효능감의 매개효과를 검증한 결과, 자기효능감은 기술유연성, 행동유연성, 관계유연성과 조직몰입 간의 관계에서 모두 부분적 매개효과를 가진다는 것이 검증되었다.

온라인 네트워킹 활동이 가상협업 역량 및 업무성과에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Online Social Networking on Individual Virtual Competence and Task Performance in Organizations)

  • With the advent of communication technologies including electronic collaborative tools and conferencing systems provided over the Internet, virtual collaboration is becoming increasingly common in organizations. Virtual collaboration refers to an environment in which the people working together are interdependent in their tasks, share responsibility for outcomes, are geographically dispersed, and rely on mediated rather than face-to face, communication to produce an outcome. Research suggests that new sets of individual skill, knowledge, and ability (SKAs) are required to perform effectively in today's virtualized workplace, which is labeled as individual virtual competence. It is also argued that use of online social networking sites may influence not only individuals' daily lives but also their capability to manage their work-related relationships in organizations, which in turn leads to better performance. The existing research regarding (1) the relationship between virtual competence and task performance and (2) the relationship between online networking and task performance has been conducted based on different theoretical perspectives so that little is known about how online social networking and virtual competence interplay to predict individuals' task performance. To fill this gap, this study raises the following research questions: (1) What is the individual virtual competence required for better adjustment to the virtual collaboration environment? (2) How does online networking via diverse social network service sites influence individuals' task performance in organizations? (3) How do the joint effects of individual virtual competence and online networking influence task performance? To address these research questions, we first draw on the prior literature and derive four dimensions of individual virtual competence that are related with an individual's self-concept, knowledge and ability. Computer self-efficacy is defined as the extent to which an individual beliefs in his or her ability to use computer technology broadly. Remotework self-efficacy is defined as the extent to which an individual beliefs in his or her ability to work and perform joint tasks with others in virtual settings. Virtual media skill is defined as the degree of confidence of individuals to function in their work role without face-to-face interactions. Virtual social skill is an individual's skill level in using technologies to communicate in virtual settings to their full potential. It should be noted that the concept of virtual social skill is different from the self-efficacy and captures an individual's cognition-based ability to build social relationships with others in virtual settings. Next, we discuss how online networking influences both individual virtual competence and task performance based on the social network theory and the social learning theory. We argue that online networking may enhance individuals' capability in expanding their social networks with low costs. We also argue that online networking may enable individuals to learn the necessary skills regarding how they use technological functions, communicate with others, and share information and make social relations using the technical functions provided by electronic media, consequently increasing individual virtual competence. To examine the relationships among online networking, virtual competence, and task performance, we developed research models (the mediation, interaction, and additive models, respectively) by integrating the social network theory and the social learning theory. Using data from 112 employees of a virtualized company, we tested the proposed research models. The results of analysis partly support the mediation model in that online social networking positively influences individuals' computer self-efficacy, virtual social skill, and virtual media skill, which are key predictors of individuals' task performance. Furthermore, the results of the analysis partly support the interaction model in that the level of remotework self-efficacy moderates the relationship between online social networking and task performance. The results paint a picture of people adjusting to virtual collaboration that constrains and enables their task performance. This study contributes to research and practice. First, we suggest a shift of research focus to the individual level when examining virtual phenomena and theorize that online social networking can enhance individual virtual competence in some aspects. Second, we replicate and advance the prior competence literature by linking each component of virtual competence and objective task performance. The results of this study provide useful insights into how human resource responsibilities assess employees' weakness and strength when they organize virtualized groups or projects. Furthermore, it provides managers with insights into the kinds of development or training programs that they can engage in with their employees to advance their ability to undertake virtual work.

Safety of Workers in Indian Mines: Study, Analysis, and Prediction

  • Background: The mining industry is known worldwide for its highly risky and hazardous working environment. Technological advancement in ore extraction techniques for proliferation of production levels has caused further concern for safety in this industry. Research so far in the area of safety has revealed that the majority of incidents in hazardous industry take place because of human error, the control of which would enhance safety levels in working sites to a considerable extent. Methods: The present work focuses upon the analysis of human factors such as unsafe acts, preconditions for unsafe acts, unsafe leadership, and organizational influences. A modified human factor analysis and classification system (HFACS) was adopted and an accident predictive fuzzy reasoning approach (FRA)-based system was developed to predict the likelihood of accidents for manganese mines in India, using analysis of factors such as age, experience of worker, shift of work, etc. Results: The outcome of the analysis indicated that skill-based errors are most critical and require immediate attention for mitigation. The FRA-based accident prediction system developed gives an outcome as an indicative risk score associated with the identified accident-prone situation, based upon which a suitable plan for mitigation can be developed. Conclusion: Unsafe acts of the worker are the most critical human factors identified to be controlled on priority basis. A significant association of factors (namely age, experience of the worker, and shift of work) with unsafe acts performed by the operator is identified based upon which the FRA-based accident prediction model is proposed.

대졸자의 구직경로가 첫 일자리 직업적응에 미치는 영향 : 개인-직무 적합성의 매개효과를 중심으로 (Effect of Job Search Channels on Occupational Adaptation of College Graduates : Focusing on the Mediating Effects of Person-Job Fit)

  • 본 연구에서는 2014년도 대졸자직업이동경로조사 자료를 활용하여 대졸 신입사원의 구직경로가 첫 일자리 직업적응에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 지를 검증하고자 하였다. 주요 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 구직경로에서 인적 네트워크를 활용했을 때 비인적 네트워크에서보다 교육수준 적합성과 전공 일치도가 높게 나타났으며, 또한 직장만족도와 업무만족도도 높게 나타났다. 둘째, Sobel-Test를 통해 매개효과를 분석한 결과, 기술수준 적합성을 제외한 교육수준 적합성과 전공 일치도가 구직경로와 직업적응 사이에서 매개효과를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 인적 네트워크가 구인과 구직 사이에 직무적합성에 대한 정보전달 통로로 작용함으로써 첫 일자리 직업적응도를 높이는데 기여하고 있음이 확인되었다. 이러한 분석결과는 구직 활동에서 인적 네트워크의 전략적인 활용이 중요하며, 대학 또는 고용서비스기관의 진로관련 프로그램에서도 인적 네트워크 활용의 중요성과 방법 등을 체계적으로 교육하고 경험할 수 있도록 하여야 함을 시사하고 있다.

간호대학생의 인간관계와 커뮤니케이션 교육의 효과 (The Effects of Human Relations and Communication Education on Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 간호대학생의 인간관계와 커뮤니케이션 교육의 효과를 파악하기 위하여 수행되었다. 대상자는 G 시에 소재한 U 대학교 간호학과 1학년 재학생, 82명이었다. 자료수집은 2019년 9월 3일부터 12월 6일까지였고, SPSS / WIN 21.0 프로그램을 사용하여 기술통계, Shapiro-Wilk, Paired t-test를 하였다. 대상자의 인간관계와 커뮤니케이션 교육 전·후의 의사소통능력(t=-2.87, p=.005), 의사소통역량 자가진단(t=-3.80, p=<.001)은 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었으나, 대인 간 의사소통(t=-0.09, p=.931)과 대인관계(t=-0.83, p=.409)는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없었다. 의사소통능력과 기술은 간호대학생뿐만 아니라 실무 간호사에게도 중요한 간호영역이므로 지속적인 의사소통교육이 필요하다. 따라서 간호대학생의 의사소통능력 향상을 위한 단계적 프로그램을 개발하여 저학년부터 고학년까지 연계되어 지속적이고 반복적인 교육을 적용하고 그 효과를 검증하는 후속연구가 필요하다.

이러닝 교수 설계자 인적 자원 유통을 위한 휴먼 클라우드 플랫폼 프레임워크 설계 (A Design of Human Cloud Platform Framework for Human Resources Distribution of e-Learning Instructional Designer)

  • Purpose - In the 21st century, as information technology advances alongside the emergence of the 4th generation, industrial age, industrial environment has become individualized and customized. It is important to hire good quality employees for good service in the industry. The e-learning market is growing every year. Although e-learning companies are finding better quality employees in e-learning, it is not easy to find it. Companies also spend a lot of time and cost to find employee. On the employees side, they want to get a job freely when they want, but they cannot find their job easily. Furthermore, the labor market environment is changing fast. In the 4th generation, industrial age, employers require to find manpower whenever they need and want at little cost. So of their own accord, we have considered the necessity of management of human resources for employees and employers in e-learning. The purpose of this study is to propose a human cloud platform framework for enabling an efficient management of human resources in e-learning industry. Research design, data, and methodology - To pinpoint the items of a human cloud platform framework, the study was initiated according to the following process. First, items of competency relating to e-learning instructional designer was analyzed. Second, based on the items of information from this analysis, selection and validity verification took place with 5 e-learning specialists group. Third, the opinion of experts who were in charge of hiring in e-learning companies were collated with the questionnaire. Lastly, the human cloud platform framework was proposed based on opinion results. Results - The framework was comprised of 7 domains and 27 items in order to develop the human cloud platform for e-learning instructional designer. The analysis results showed that the most highly considered item were 'skill (4.60)' that employee already have the capability. Following this (in order) were 'project type (4.56)', 'work competency (4.56)', and 'strength area of instructional design (4.52)'. Conclusions - The 27 items in the human cloud platform framework were suggested in this study. Following this, we can consider to develop the human cloud platform for finding a job and hiring e-learning instructional designer easily. For successful platform operation, we need to consider reliability between employer and employee. In addition, we need quality assurance system based on operation has public confidence.

고령남성의 경제활동참가 결정요인 연구 - 노후빈곤노동가설 및 숙련편향기술진보설을 중심으로 - (Study on Factors Determining Labor Force Participation Rate of Older males : The Elderly Poverty Labor Hypothesis and Skill-Biased Technological Change Hypothesis)

  • 본 연구는 기존에 제기된 고령남성의 경제활동참가를 설명하는 이론(가설)이 우리나라 고령남성의 경제활동참가를 설명하기에는 부족하다는 판단아래, 노후빈곤노동가설과 숙련편향기술진보설을 적용하여 분석하였다. 자료는 통계청의 경제활동인구총괄($1965{\sim}2007$), 추계인구($1965{\sim}2007$), 임금구조기본통계($1993{\sim}2005$), 노동패널 $1{\sim}9$차 원 자료, 2005년 가계조사이며, 회귀분석은 로지스틱 분석을 활용하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 우리나라 고령남성의 경제활동참가율은 산업화가 본격적으로 이루어진 1965년 이후 증가추세를 이어가고 있어, 선진국의 감소추세와는 다르다. 둘째, $1998{\sim}2005$년까지 빈곤 고령남성의 경제활동참가율이 비빈곤 고령남성의 경제활동참가율보다 평균 5.2% 높았다. 셋째, 점점 상위 직종(고위직 및 전문가)은 비고령 계층이 차지하고, 하위 직종(단순노무직)은 고령계층이 주를 이루어가고 있었다. 넷째, 고학력자의 노동공급이 증가한 것보다 그들에 대한 노동수요는 더 크게 증가한 반면, 저학력자의 노동공급은 줄었는데, 이들에 대한 노동수요는 더 큰 폭으로 감소하였다. 그 결과 대학프리미엄이 139%(1993년)에서 157.8%(2005년)로 높아졌다. 다섯째, 고령자의 경제활동 참가율을 설명하는 이론(가설)으로서, 산업화 근대화 가설은 최근 우리나라 상황에도 적용된다. 그러나 노후풍요가설은 고령자의 경제활동참가에 영향을 미치지만, 영향력은 미약하였다. 특히 노후빈곤이 노후경제활동의 주된 메커니즘으로 나타나, 본 연구에서 주장한 노후빈곤노동가설이 지지되었다. 숙련편향기술진보설은 우리나라 고령남성의 경제활동참가율을 부분적으로 설명하지만, 그 외에도 인적자본 특히 고학력보다는 고졸이면서 상대적으로 숙련편향정도가 낮은 직종의 기술 혹은 노후빈곤이 영향을 미친 것으로 판단된다.

간호대학 학부과정 의사소통 교과목 현황 및 분석 (Analysis of the Communication Education in the Undergraduate Nursing Curriculum of Korea)

  • Purpose: This study was done to investigate the current conditions with communication-related education in the nursing undergraduate curriculum, and to develop effective strategies for communication education. Methods: We collected 48 syllabi of communication-related courses from the nursing college or nursing department of a university and analyzed the syllabi using the content analysis method. Results: First, in the knowledge domain, 'Theories of communication', 'Characteristics of human relationship, understanding the importance, and building philosophical foundations' were covered. Second, the skill domain covered 'Application of communication for nursing care' as a main concept. Third, 'Building human relationships for nursing care' was mainly covered in the attitude domain. On the other hand, topics and content were different depending on instructors. Although the courses covered the same educational content, they were categorized under different names and concepts. Conclusion: These findings have implications for how to standardize a communication course in the nursing curriculum.

정보통신 분야의 인적자원개발을 위한 스킬 프레임워크 (Skills Framework for HRD in IT Industry)

  • 스킬 프레임워크는 IT 관련 정보 시스템을 효율적으로 개발하기 위한 기초 인프라이다. 이는 IT 스킬 프레임워크가 정보통신 관련 스킬들을 구분하기 위해 일반적 기준모형이 될 수 있기 때문이다. 즉, 스킬 프레임워크는 스킬 유형, 스킬 수준으로 구분된 스킬 행렬표로서 작성된 각 스킬들을 정확히 구분할 수 있는 정의와 직무수행능력 명세서 등을 만드는 작업이다. 이러한 스킬 프레임워크가 있음으로 인하여, 우리는 일관된 자료의 작성과 관리가 가능하며, 정보잡음(information noise)을 감소시킬 수 있다. 효율적 정보교류는 교육시장과 노동시장의 연계성을 강화시키며, 궁극적으로 효율적 인적자원개발을 촉진한다.

조리 관련 학과의 한식 교과과정에 관한 연구 - 주요 4년제 대학교를 중심으로 - (A study on the Korean food(Hansik) Curriculum of Culinary Art & Science related department - Focus on the mainly four-year universities in Korea -)

  • The main objective of this research was to investigate the Korean food (Hansik) Curriculum of Culinary Art & Science related department of mainly four-year universities in Korea. To accomplish this study, we performed an analysis regarding curriculum data from the homepage of nine universities. The method of this research was conducted by content analysis. The classification according to content analysis was conducted to 1) current status regarding Korean Food related curriculum, 2) a study on the Korean food related theoretical curriculum, and 3) a study on the Korean food related practical curriculum. As a result of this study, the most common opened curriculum was 'a study on the Korean food related practical curriculum'. The largest curriculum among 'a study on the Korean food related practical curriculum' was the Korean cooking skill of basic and intermediate. The following curriculum was the Korean traditional and royal cuisine related curriculum. These two curriculum were found based on data of Culinary related departments of mainly four-year universities in Korea. To summarize these results, in the cases of the general culinary-related departments, Korean food-related classes will need expansion. In addition to Korean food-related departments, increasing the opening of classes to learn regarding Korean foods will be needed.
