  • Currently, the VHE (suggested for global roaming user to provide personal service environment) implementation scenario is being proposed to realize 3G network requirements. However, developing VHE scenarios are focused on signal flow between node and network, and network and network. this case may result in weakness to protect subscriber's privacy in 3G network which commonly uses visited network. In this paper, we reanalyze a several VHE implementation scenarios for user profile protection, indicate a problem concerning user privacy, and finally, design a procedure to cope with vulnerability in VHE implementation scenario.

주거환경 구성요소에 대한 거주자들의 태도에 관한 연구 (Residents' Attitudes for the components of Home Environment)

  • This study is to find out the residents' attitudes for the components of home environment. This study proceeded with purposes 1) to define the components which are used to evaluate home environment and 2) to suggest the profile of home environment by analyzing the rate of significance and consideration for them. A survey was conducted by 511 housewives who live in Pusan, and analyzed by using frequency, percentage, mean, factor analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA and Scheffe's test. The major findings are as follows: 1) The 16 elements were selected as the components which are used to evaluate home environment. 2) As for residents' attitudes, the profile of the rate of significance and consideration for the components showed generally high as over 3.0(mean) in all elements. 3) A comfortable environments, safety, housing atmosphere, traffic environments and educational environments were found out as elements that were very significantly recognized and considered in the profile. 4) As for residents' attitudes according to housing and household characteristics, there was a difference in a few elements.

아동의 학업성취 관련변인의 인과적 구조분석 (Causal Relationships in Children's Academic Achievement and Related Variables)

  • In order to define their relative influence, this study analyzed causal relationships between academic achievement of elementary school students and such related variables as self-esteem and the psychological and economic environment of the home, including clarification of other significant variables affecting academic achievement. Participants were a sample of 485 5th grade students from 8 elementary schools in Busan. Correlation, analysis of covariance structure modeling, and model-fitness tests were applied to the data. Results indicated that the psychological environment of the home has the most significant influence on the academic achievement of children, and the economic environment of the home and self-esteem have relatively low or indirect influence.

언어영재의 문식성 환경, 독서태도, 지각된 언어능력 및 언어표현선호도가 쓰기수행에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Home Literary Environment, Reading Attitude, Perceived Verbal Ability, and Preference for Verbal Expression on the Writing Performance of the Verbally Gifted)

  • For this study of the writing performance of verbally gifted elementary and middle school students and its relations to home literary environment, reading attitude, perceived verbal ability, and preference for verbal expression, a sample of 101 verbally gifted children was recruited from classes in a gifted education institute in P metropolitan area. Results of path analyses show that verbally gifted children's home literary environment affects reading attitude and perceived verbal ability; reading attitude and perceived verbal ability affects preference for verbal expression; and preference for verbal expression directly affects writing performance. Results imply that the indirect relations of home literary environment to verbally gifted children's writing performance are an important foundation for developing preference for verbal expression and writing skills.

가정환경변인과 유아교사변인이 유아의 음악적 능력 및 태도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Home Environment and Teacher Variables on Children's Musical Ability and Attitudes)

  • This study used path analysis to investigate the effect of home environment and teacher variables on children's musical ability and attitudes. Participants were 235 children, their parents and 13 teachers of kindergartens located in G city in Gyeongbuk Province. Instruments were the Primary Measurement of Music Audiation(Gordon, 1986), the Music Teaching Efficacy Instrument(Riggs & Enochs, 1990), and questionnaires about children's musical attitudes, home environment and music activities. Results showed that teacher variables affected children's musical ability directly and indirectly and children's attitude affected their musical ability directly. Psychological and physical variables of the home environment affected children's musical ability and attitudes positively.

노인보호시설주거 거주자들의 주거만족도에 관한 사례연구 - 미국 Virginia주를 중심으로 - (A Case Study of Resident Satisfaction of Assisted Living facilities - Focusing on Virginia, U.S.A. -)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine how residents of assisted living facility (ALF) are satisfied with their residence and to identify the reasons for this satisfaction or dissatisfaction as a home. For this purpose, residents'experiences and opinions of the physical environment, the social environment, and the organizational environments such as policies and programs of ALFs were identified. As a multi-site case study, five ALFS in Southwest Virginia were studied using a cross-case analysis. Face-to-face interviews with 25 residents and five administrators of five ALFs, observations, and personal journal were done. Regardless of the type of facilities and the residents'characteristics, most of the respondents were satisfied with their current dwelling. In spite of high satisfaction with the facility, many people did not think of their current dwelling as a real "home." Residents of ALFs may have reordered their priorities in their current life situation so that safety, security, and care were more important to them than feeling "at home.""at home."

The system of intelligent home is the intelligence of human-biology in the side of environmental friendly and multi-function. it distinguish the system of security, controlling system of inside environment, supporting system of house-working, automatic controlling, house working. Future house require to meet demand of young generation, such as small residental space, the multi-functional space, the flexible space, making mood for dual income couple and of single as intelligent home. Accordingly, basic purpose which are pleasantness, the safe and the convenience the mobile multi-function as well as networking with controlling of temperature, security, health-test, home-entertainment, home-office and consider environment together.

양육신념, 부모협력 및 가정학습환경과 유아의 학교준비도 (Parental Beliefs, Parental Involvement, the Home Learning Environment and Children's School Readiness)

  • This study investigated the effects of three factors-mothers' parenting beliefs; child care-home involvement; and the home learning environment - on the school readiness of 3- to 5-year-olds. The subjects were 366 children who were enrolled in child care centers located in Seoul and the Kyoungki area, and their mothers. The Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique was employed to test the pathways to children's school readiness as indicated by the child's abilities in vocabulary, math and reading. The results showed that mothers' stronger beliefs in their responsibilities in their children's academic and behavioral development predicted greater involvement in child care and better quality in the home learning environment. Likewise, the quality of the learning environment predicted the extent of the child's readiness for school. No direct relation was found between child care involvement and the child's school readiness. The results imply that multiple factors - parental, child-care-related, and home environmental- explain the extent to which the child is prepared to adjust to scholastic life.

  • With the sustainable development theory introduced, some planning factors, such as how to minimize bad effects on the environment and how to be more environmentally friendly, have been Integrated in planning the residential development. In addition, a new residential space concept, the ubiquitous home, arouse the interest of architects and residents. Although there have been many efforts to achieve the environment-friendly and convenient residence, the problem is that the environment-friendly architecture's many of the efforts have been primarily focused on the outside of the apartment units. Thus, the purpose of this study is to show possibilities of housing model not only being applied the environment-friendly construction concept to the inside of the apartment units, but also being integrated the ubiquitous home model inside.

가정환경변인이 유아의 언어능력에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Home Environment on Children`s Linguistic Ability)

  • This study used path analysis to investigate the effect of home environment on children's linguistic ability. Participants were 230 4- to 5-year-old kindergarten and child care children and their parents located in D city, Gyeongbuk Province. Instruments were the Children's Linguistic Ability Test (Suk Im Lee, 2006), and questionnaires to measure the physical and literacy environment at home and parents' socio-economic status. Results showed that parents' socio-economic status and application of a literacy environment directly caused children's literacy; physical surroundings and an environment of literacy were variables that effected children's literacy indirectly.
