Background in a novel is most important elements with characters and events, and means time, place and situation that characters appeared. Among the background, spatial background can help conveys topic of a novel. So, it may be helpful for choosing a novel that readers want to read. In this paper, we are targeting Korean historical novels. In case of English text, It can be recognize spatial background easily because it use upper and lower case and words used with the spatial information such as Bank, University and City. But, in case Korean text, it is difficult to recognize that spatial background because there is few information about usage of letter. In the previous studies, they use machine learning or dictionaries and rules to recognize about spatial information in text such as news and text messages. In this paper, we build a nation dictionaries that refer to information such as 'Korean history' and 'Google maps.' We Also propose a method for recognizing spatial background based on patterns of postposition in Korean sentences comparing to previous works. We are grasp using of postposition with spatial background because Korean characteristics. And we propose a method based on result of morpheme analyze and frequency in a novel text for raising accuracy about recognizing spatial background. The recognized spatial background can help readers to grasp the atmosphere of a novel and to understand the events and atmosphere through recognition of the spatial background of the scene that characters appeared.

The background of historical Jing-Ju is a history, but the history Chinese wants to watch on the stage is the history dramatized by talented actors/actresses, not the history they want to learn. This thesis intends to examine traditional repertories whose background is historical people or accidents, among the lots of Jing-Ju repertories by each period, grasp periods, accidents, people, etc. preferred by Chinese and examine how they were dramatized. The general characteristics of historical Jing-Ju, grasped by each period, are as follows. The first, for the reason that there are lots of historical Jing-Ju in opera repertories, it can be mentioned by Chinese descriptive tradition and historical tradition. As lots of Chinese novels and drama works were written by history, basic models are suggested and clear development is shown, so there is an aspect which is advantageous for dramatization. Also, there are lots of works whose material is history for not only opera but also drama, TV drama because of the characteristics of China where historical books such as "史記", "戰國策", etc. The second, the period which is the background of historical Jing-Ju focuses on 漢 period, 三國 period, 隋唐 period, 宋 period and 明 period. It seems to be reflected by Chinese superiority to some degree if considering Jing-Ju was extremely popular during the 民國 period. The third, there are many characters who have patriotism loyalty among the historical Jing-Ju. It seems to be the result of discovering lots of materials for appealing patriotism in the situation they were dominated by Japan and the West during the 民國 period. The forth, the most single material is "三國志" among the historical Jing-Ju. This material has the factors of traditional idea, loyalty, fidelity, etc, but there are the most interesting characters and they were popularized by novels, etc. The fifth, in the historical Jing-Ju, the contents and character forms can be sometimes changed by character's skill because character's artistic achievement can play a great role for the completion of Jing-Ju.

This study puts the significance on the trends, the characteristics, the factors and background of the typical diversification of 2000's historical dramas and of their costume in conjunction with the popular culture. We analyzed the materials like the official web-sites, the articles and promotional photos based on 47 TV historical dramas and 21 historical movies. And we, approaching the characteristics of popular culture in connection with the social, cultural, economic, emotional and technical aspects, considered the trends of the historical dramas and their connection with the paradigms of the contemporary popular culture. The results of this analysis are summarized as follows. First, the 2000's historical dramas & their costume, in the process to widen communication with the public, rose the values of popular culture, economic values, traditional values. Second, the diversification of the costumes in historical dramas, derived from the diversification of the era Genre characters and this is related to the characteristics of popular culture in 2000's such as the diversity, the nature of mixture, flexibility and the orientation of variation. Third, the new media environment and the imaging technology of 2000's raised completeness of the historical dramas and their costume. As the technical background placed the emphasis on realistic representation. Fourth, the costume of historical dramas in 2000's reflected the intention of the production in consideration with the emotional aspects of popular culture.

The Erlangen program is a scholastic plan by German mathematician Felix Klein, in which he, based on group theory, made a reassessment of geometry as well as an attempt to generally organize it. In this paper, I will introduce the historical and scholastic background of the Erlangen program, overview the process of its formation, and provide some comments regarding its historical significance.

This research aims to provide a comprehensive evaluation of the history of private education in Korea. By delving into the historical aspects of private education, this study aims to uncover key developments, trends, and transformations that have shaped the private education landscape in Korea. By understanding the historical trajectory of private education in Korea, educational practitioners can gain a deeper understanding of the challenges, opportunities, and potential areas for improvement within the private education industry. The literature analysis has shown that there are four significant historical events for developing private education industry in South Korea. First, Japanese colonial period and its Impact on private education in Korea background and context. Second, education reforms in the 1960s and the rise of hagwons in Korea background and context. Third, the role and impact of private education on the Korean education system. Fourth, Education reforms in the 21st Century and the regulation of private education background and context. In sum, this research provides a comprehensive evaluation of the history of private education in Korea, examining four key historical events and their impact on the private education landscape. The findings reveal important insights into private education's development, role, and impact in Korea.

Retro fashion is emerging among young people as an approach to discovering a new meaning in Korea's historical culture. Research on Korea's unique retro fashion culture is required because there is no research on retro fashion culture based on Korea's historical background. Therefore, this study examined how retro fashion culture has progressed based on Korea's historical background from a nostalgic perspective. All retro-related newspaper articles from 1950 to 2020 were collected, and content analysis was conducted for each semantic unit. The results revealed that personal nostalgia is based on personal experience and is extending to younger generations. In terms of nostalgia in interpersonal relationships, the younger generation reinterpreted the fashion culture of the older generation after the 2010s. In terms of vicarious nostalgia, a retro culture reminiscent of the 1990s with a background in economic development and consumption culture appeared after 2012. The youth culture and university culture of the 1970s and 1980s were reinterpreted as street fashion. Since the late 2010s, the younger generation has been exhibiting cultural nostalgia, believing that the historical Korean culture is not outdated but has a unique heritage formed during the modernization process. Symbolic nostalgia appeared in Korean fashion culture during modernization.

The weather charts made at November 1, 1905 that were supposed to be the first daily weather chart in Korea were found and the contents of them were described and investigated. They were consisted of three sheets of paper. The first sheet consists of 2 kinds of weather charts. The second one does 6 kinds, and the third one is a table where 51 stations' records are in it. The diagnosing method and the historical background of the charts were explained. Although it is slim, the possibilities of the other earlier charts than these are explained also.

The background control data were compiled from rat developmental toxicity studies con-ducted at Toxicology Research Center, KRICT during the 1993-1999 period. These data were assembled in order to provide background in formation for the maternal and fetal data collected in 13 developmental toxicity studies using Sprague-Dawley rats. A total of 325 mated females were used in these studies during the seven-year period and overall pregnancy rate of these females was 93.8%. The present background control data included body weights, food consumption, hematological values, and organ weights of pregnant females, caesarean section data, and fetal examination data. These data can be used not only as a historical database for the meaningful interpretation of data from reproductive and developmental toxicity studies, but also as a contribution to biological characterization oj Sprague-Dawley rats.

Nature-mimetic architecture has been discussed for a long time in the West. There were differences in understanding nature, the pursuit of nature-mimetic and the characteristics of nature-mimetic architecture. It can be inferred that it was influenced by various happenings in each period. The purpose of this study is to acknowledge the characteristics of nature-mimetic architecture up from the past to the present, and to understand the difference through the timeline of historical events. First, the study inquires the characteristics of nature-mimetic architecture by timeline. Seek the perception and attitude, characteristics of nature-mimetic architecture and the value of it through cases of Ancient Greek, Medieval, Renaissance, Early Modern and Modern. Secondly, understand the important historical issues that influenced nature-mimetic architecture such as view of nature, social aspect, religion and scientific technology. Finally, discuss the relationship between nature-mimetic architecture and its historical background.
