3차원(次元) 수치모형(數値模型)에 의한 표면온배수(表面溫排水) 확산(擴散)의 수치해석(數値解析) (Numerical Analysis of Surface Thermal Jets by Three-Dimensional Numerical Model)

  • 밀도효과(密度效果)를 고려한 물의 유동(流動)에 관한 3차원(次元) 수치모형(數値模型)을 수립하여, 정상수역(靜上水域)으로의 표면온배수(表面溫排水) 확산문제(擴散問題)를 해석하였다. 수립된 수치모형(數値模型)은 수심방향에 대해 정규화(正規化)한 좌표(座標)(${\sigma}$-coordinate)에서 무차원화(無次元化)된 식들을 사용하며, 시간(時間) 적분방법(積分方法)으로는 반음해법(半陰解法)을 사용하여 계산시간의 효율성(效率性)을 도모하였다. 온배수확산(溫排水擴散) 수리실험결과(水理實驗結果)와의 비교를 통하여 모형의 신뢰성(信賴性)을 검토하였으며, 온배수(溫排水) 확산(擴散)(밀도류(密度流)) 계산시 연직확산계수(鉛直擴散係數)와 성층효과(成層效果)를 고려하기 위해 사용되는 안정함수(安定函數)의 여러 형태에 대한 계산결과를 비교하였다. 수립된 모형은 수리실험자료(水理實驗資料)와 일치하는 양호한 계산결과를 보였다. 온배수 확산 모의시 연직(鉛直) 확산계수(擴散係數)의 공간적(空間的) 분포(分布)를 고려해야함을 확인할 수 있었으며, 표면온배수 확산을 정확히 모의하기 위해서는 기존에 널리 사용되는 안정함수(安定函數)가 수정될 필요가 있었다.

차량 전원 안정성 향상을 위한 Diagnosis System 채택 Intelligent Smart Junction Box 개발 (Development of Diagnosis System Adopted Intelligent Smart Junction Box for Improving Vehicular Power Safety)

  • These days the automobile industry, which has rapidly progressed, has been an indispensable part in social and economic activities as well as its research and development have been activated in response to various needs of consumers and markets. The second and third generation control system, getting count on safety and convenience differently than early circuits, cause the hypertrophy of wire harness. The J/Box(Junction Box), which distributes power and wires, was developed to solve the problem. As vehicles have been better in quantity and intelligence, however, environment-friendly electric apparatus system has continuously increased and ITS(Intelligent Transport System) has been introduced in earnest. In result, wires got complicated and multilateral and also there has been a stronger probability that vehicles are out of order due to various problems including mechanical failure. In this study, ISJB(Intelligent Smart Junction Box) was introduced to solve the problem. The diagnosis system was applied to prevent the overload and short of ISJE. Also, the state of vehicles displayed so that drivers monitor it in motion. Likewise error data are saved in the memory so that such data can be analyzed retrospectively. The busbar was adopted in to the main power terminal and the part of power pattern was coverd by lead. Because ISJB is more sensitive to heat in comparison to the busbar type J/Box. With regard the circuits related with safe, alternative circuits were set up in order that electronic devices may be normally operated even when an error arises. ISJB is expected to improve the safety and quality of vehicles.

희박 예혼합 가스터빈 연소기 3 차원 전산 해석 및 화학반응기 네트워크에 의한 NOx 예측 (3D RANS Simulation and the Prediction by CRN Regarding NOx in a Lean Premixed Combustion in a Gas Turbine Combustor)

  • 희박예혼합 가스터빈 연소기에 대한 3 차원 RANS 해석을 수행하였으며 PCFM(Partially Premixed Coherent Flame Model) 화염면적밀도 생성항 상수의 보정을 통하여 희박연소조건을 모사하였다. PCFM 에서 계산된 화염면적밀도에 의해 층류 예혼합 화염의 전파를 예측하고 불균일하게 분포한 기연 가스의 물성을 평형 가정에 따라 예측하였다. 복사와 대류 열전달을 모사하기 위해 냉각 조건으로서 실험과의 비교를 통해 결정된 열유속을 적용하였다. 이러한 3 차원 해석 결과를 바탕으로 파일럿 노즐과 메인 노즐에 분배되는 연료량 비에 대한 민감도 조사를 수행하였으며 CRN(Chemical Reactor Network)을 구성하여 NOx 배출량을 예측하고 측정값과 비교 분석하였다.

FIR과 FGR 기법이 적용된 메탄-공기 대향류 확산화염에서 화염구조와 NO 배출 연구 (A Study on Flame Structure and NO Emission in FIR- and FGR-applied Methane-air Counterflow Diffusion Flames)

  • Flame characteristics and NO emission behavior in $CH_4$/air-air premixed counterflow flames with applying FIR and FGR with $CO_2$ and $H_2O$ were investigated numerically by varying the ratios of FIR and FGR as well as global strain rate. Chemical effects of added $CO_2$ and $H_2O$ via FIR and FGR were analyzed through comparing flame characteristics and NO behaviors from real species($CO_2$ and $H_2O$) with those from their artificial species($XCO_2$ and $XH_2O$) which have the same thermochemical, radiative, and transport properties to those for the real species. The results showed that flame temperature and NO emission with FIR varied much more sensitively than that with FGR. Those varied little irrespective of adding $CO_2$, $H_2O$, and their artificial species to the fuel stream via FIR. However, Those were varied complicatedly by chemical effects of added $CO_2$ and $H_2O$ via FGR. Detailed analyses for them were made and discussed.

  • 중수로 일차냉각재계통 액체방출밸브의 개방압력에 대한 안전여유 및 시간지연을 반영하여 열수력코드로 경년열화가 반영된 노심에 대해 민감도를 평가하였다. 과거에는 안전해석을 수행할 때 안전여유와 시간지연을 반영하여 평가하지 않았으나, 월성1호기 안전해석 인허가 심사과정중 반영 평가하였다. 중수로 안전해석에서 압력경계는 일차냉각재계통 액체방출밸브이다. 따라서 액체방출밸브 응동이 안전해석에 직접적인 영향을 주므로 안전여유와 시간지연 부가가 안전해석 결과에 미치는 영향을 파악하고 해석에 반영하기 위해 일차냉각재계통 과압이 걸리는 사고들에 대해 평가하였다.

바이러스 질병 예방을 위한 식물 경구 백신 연구 동향 (Recent Studies of Edible Plant Vaccine for Prophylactic Medicine against Virus-mediated Diseases)

  • Transgenic plants have been studied as delivery system for edible vaccine against various diseases. Edible plant vaccines have several potential advantages as follows: an inexpensive source of antigen, easy administration, reduced need for medical personnel, economical to mass produce and easy transport, heat-stable vaccine without refrigerator, generation of systemic and mucosal immunity and safe antigen without fetal animal-virus contaminants. The amount of recombinant antigens in transgenic plants ranged from 0.002 to 0.8% in total soluble protein, depending on promoters for the expression of interested genes and plants to be used for transformation. Throughout the last decade, edible plant vaccine made notable progresses that protect from challenges against virus or bacteria. However edible plant vaccines have still problems that could be solved. First, the strong promoter or inducible promoter or strategy of protein targeting could be solved to improve the low expression of antigens in transgenic plants. Second, the transformation technique of target plant should be developed to be able to eat uncooked. Third, marker-free vector could be constructed to be more safety. In this review we describe advances of edible plant vaccines, focusing on the yields depending on plants/promoters employed and the results of animal/clinical trials, and consider further research for the development of a new plant-derived vaccine.

2차원 온배수 난류모형의 비교연구 (A Comparative Study of 2-Dimensional Turbulence Models for Thermal Discharge)

  • 가로흐름이 존재하는 수역으로 방출되는 온배수 해석에 3가지 난류모형의 사용성 평가를 위해서 근역 2차원 수치모형을 개발하였다. 적용한 난류모형은 2-방정식 난류모형인 {{{{ { k}_{ } }}}}-$\varepsilon$ 및 {{{{ { k}_{ } }}}}-ι 난류모형과 {{{{ { k}_{ } }}}}-$\varepsilon$ 난류모형에 부력생성 항 및 난류 열 플럭스 항 결정을 위한 변동온도 평균자승항 및 이의 감쇠율에 대한 전달 방정식을 추가한 4-방정식 난류모형이다. 개발된 모형은 간단한 단면을 갖는 개수로 정류 경우에 대해 적용하였으며, 계산된 결과는 기존의 실험결과와 비교적 잘 일치하였다. 4-방정식 난류모형에 의한 결과가 2-방정식에 의한 결과보다 부력에 의한 횡방향의 중력확장을 잘 나타내었으며, 흐름 양상의 계산에는 3가지 경우 모두 유사하게 흐름을 재현함을 보였다.

  • Only approximately 30% of fossil fuel energy is used; therefore, it is desirable to utilize the huge amounts of waste energy. Thermoelectric (TE) materials that convert heat into electrical power are a promising energy technology. The TE materials can be formed either as thin films or as bulk semiconductors. Generally, thin-film TE materials have low energy conversion rates due to their thinness compared to that in bulk. However, an advantage of a thin-film TE material is that the efficiency can be smartly engineered by controlling the nanostructure and composition. Especially nanostructured TE thin films are useful for mitigating heating problems in highly integrated microelectronic devices by accurately controlling the temperature. Hence, there is a rising interest in thin-film TE devices. These devices have been extensively investigated. It is demonstrated that transparent amorphous oxide semiconductors (TAOS) can be excellent thermoelectric (TE) materials, since their thermal conductivity (${\kappa}$) through a randomly disordered structure is quite low, while their electrical conductivity and carrier mobility (${\mu}$) are high, compared to crystalline semiconductors through the first-principles calculations and the various measurements for the amorphous In-Zn-O (a-IZO) thin film. The calculated phonon dispersion in a-IZO shows non-linear phonon instability, which can prevent the transport of phonon. The a-IZO was measured to have poor ${\kappa}$ and high electrical conductivity compared to crystalline $In_2O_3:Sn$ (c-ITO). These properties show that the TAOS can be an excellent thin-film transparent TE material. It is suggested that the TAOS can be employed to mitigate the heating problem in the transparent display devices.

기체확산층 물성이 고분자전해질 연료전지 성능에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Gas Diffusion Layer Property on PEMFC Performance)

  • 기체확산층은 유로에서 전극으로 반응물을 전달하고, 반응으로 생성되는 물을 배출하는 통로이며 열 배출과 전극 지지대 등의 역할을 하는 고분자전해질 연료전지의 핵심 구성요소이다. 본 연구에서는 국내외 기체확산층 상용 제품인 39BC와 JNT30-A3에 대한 연료전지의 성능 평가를 수행하였다. 25 ㎠ 단위 전지를 이용하여 유량, 상대습도 조건에 대한 분극 곡선을 측정하였고, empirical equation을 이용하여 운전 조건에 대한 성능 인자를 도출하였다. 기체확산층의 PTFE 함량이 높을수록 저항이 증가하였고, 미세다공층의 크랙은 물의 이동 통로로서 농도 손실에 영향을 미쳤다. 또한 상대습도가 낮을수록 Ohmic 저항이 증가하였지만, 전류밀도가 증가할수록 이온전도도가 증가하여 Ohmic 저항이 감소하였다. Empirical equation을 이용한 fitting curve을 통하여 기체확산층의 운전 조건에 대한 성능 인자 경향을 해석할 수 있었다.

마그넬리상 합성과 광전기화학셀 전극 응용 (Synthesis of Magneli Phases and Application to the Photoelectrochemical Electrode)

  • Hydrothermal synthesis of highly crystalline $TiO_2$ nanorods is a well-developed technique and the nanorods have been widely used as the template for growth of various core-shell nanorod structures. Magneli/CdS core-shell nanorod structures are fabricated for the photoelectrochemical cell (PEC) electrode to achieve enhanced carrier transport along the metallic magneli phase nanorod template. However, the long and thin $TiO_2$ nanorods may form a high resistance path to the electrons transferred from the CdS layer. $TiO_2$ nanorods synthesized are reduced to magneli phases, $TixO_{2x-1}$, by heat treatment in a hydrogen environment. Two types of magneli phase nanorods of $Ti_4O_7$ and $Ti_3O_5$ are synthesized. Structural morphology and X-ray diffraction analyses are carried out. CdS nano-films are deposited on the magneli nanorods for the main light absorption layer to form a photoanode, and the PEC performance is measured under simulated sunlight irradiation and compared with the conventional $TiO_2/CdS$ core-shell nanorod electrode. A higher photocurrent is observed from the stand-alone $Ti_3O_5/CdS$ core-shell nanorod structure in which the nanorods are grown on both sides of the seed layer.
