수면이 균형조절과 시각적 자극 반응시간에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Sleep on Balance Control and Reaction Time to Visual Stimuli)

  • 목 적 : 수면은 신체의 기능을 회복시키고 항상성을 유지시키는 인체의 필수적인 생리작용으로, 수면의 질 저하는 전반적인 건강문제를 야기 시키는 것으로 보고되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 수면과 균형조절능력의 관계에 대해 규명하기 위하여, 수면이 균형조절과 시각적 반응시간에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 방 법 : 본 연구에 참여하기를 서면 동의한 건강한 20대 남녀 58명을 대상으로 PSQI를 이용하여 수면의 질을 평가한 다음, PSQI 점수에 따라 대상자를 A군(PSQI <5)과 B군($PSQI{\geq}5$)으로 분류하였다. 이후 대상자들의 체성분과 신체특성, 균형조절, 시각적 반응시간 및 오류횟수를 각각 측정하였다. 결 과 : 수면의 질이 양호한 A군에 비해 수면의 질이 낮은 B군에서 아침기상 시 졸린 정도가 유의하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 수면이 체성분에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보기 위해 두 실험군의 신체조성을 비교한 결과, 수면의 질이 낮은 여자 대상자들의 체지방량과 체지방률이 유의하게 낮은 것으로 확인되었다. 또한 수면상태에 따른 균형을 비교한 결과, 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았지만, 시각적 반응시간에서는 유의한 증가가 확인되었다. 특히 수면의 질이 낮은 B군에서 반응시간은 선형적으로 유의하게 증가하였으며, 오차횟수 역시 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 결 론 : 수면의 질 저하는 반응속도를 지연시키고, 반응의 정확도를 감소시키는 것으로 나타났는데, 이러한 선택적 주의력의 저하는 균형조절에 영향을 끼칠 수 있고, 이로 인해 예상하지 못한 순간에 낙상 등의 손상을 입을 위험이 증가할 수 있다.

일지역 갱년기 여성의 요실금 실태와 삶의 질 (The Relationship between Urinary Incontinence and Quality of Life in Climacteric Women)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the prevalence of urinary incontinence of community residing climacteric women, and to identify the relationship between urinary incontinence and quality of life. The subjects of this study were 156 women(45 to 59 years old). Data was collected from Sep. 1 to Dec. 1 2002 by an interview or self-reporting by a structured questionnaire. The questionnaire was composed of items of general characteristics, urinary characteristics, and conditions of urinary incontinence, using the modified Henderickson's stress incontinence scale(1981), and the quality of life scale developed by RO, You Ja(1988). The data was analyzed by the SPSS/WIN program using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficients, t-test and AVOVA. The results of the study were as follows : 1. The prevalence of urinary incontinence was 76.3%. Of the incontinent women, 42.0% had experienced urinary incontinence for a period of one to three years. Frequency of urinary incontinence was once or twice per day for 42.9% of the urinary incontinent women. Most of the participation with urinary incontinence(91.6%) had mild leakage of urine. In the whole urinary incontinent women, 70.6% had never treated or managed their urinary incontinence. Most of the subjects(79.8%) were mildly incontinent, and the prevalence of moderate and severe urinary incontinence was 20.2%. The mean scores among the items of urinary incontinence, in descending order, were increase of abdominal pressure($1.45{\pm}1.05$), coughing($1.16{\pm}0.93$), and sneezing($1.03{\pm}0.92$). 2. The average score in the level in the quality of life variables was 3.12. The urinary incontinence and quality of life were correlated negatively(r=-0.103, p<0.001). 3. There were statistically significant differences in the score of climacteric woman's self reported quality of life according to : amount of urinary incontinence(F=12.68, P=0.001), duration of urinary incontinence(F=6.97, P=0.009), number of urinary incontinence(F=4.77, P=0.03), existence of urinary incontinence(t=148, P=0.05). In conclusion, this study was a preliminary study to provide nursing practice guidelines for climacteric woman with urinary incontinence. Nurses working with climacteric woman should develop and provide adequate care for the incontinent climacteric subjects. In future research, it is recommended to identify comprehensive factors related to urinary incontinence, including the effective management of urinary incontinence.

다른 특성을 가지는 도재가 반복소성에 따라 색조변화에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Repeated Firing on the Color Difference of a Metal-Ceramic System with Different Porcelain Powder)

  • The goal of esthetic restoration is to achieve morphologic, optical, and biologic acceptance. Creation of a natural looking ceramic restoration, which blends harmoniously with surrounding dentition, is not always achieved. A successful color match is an important aspect of any esthetic dental restoration. Since natural enamel has inherent translucency, it is important that ceramic restorations reproduce the translucency and color of the natural teeth. However, the final color match of porcelain crowns to adjacent natural dentition remains some problem. Difficulties related to color matching arise from the structural differences that exist between metal ceramic crowns and natural teeth, the limited range of available ceramic shades, inadequate shade guides, different types of metal alloys, repeated firing, the condensation technique, and varying compositions of ceramic materials. Many factors contribute to the esthetic success of dental restoration: optical properties such as color and its elements of hue, value, and chroma; translucency and opacity; light transmission and scattering; and metamerism and fluorescence. The purpose of this study was to determine the color changes of metal-ceramic system with different veneering porcelain powder after repeated firing. The objectives of this in vitro study were to measure the lightness($L^*$), chromaticity($a^*$), chromaticity($b^*$), chroma($C^*$), hue(h), reflectance(%), color difference(${\Delta}E$). The following conclusions were obtained: 1. An increase in the number of firings resulted in decrease in lightness($L^*$) but increase in chromacticity($a^*$) with all porcelain. After the second sintering resulted in decrease in chromacticity($b^*$) with opaque-dentin porcelain and dentin porcelain but in increase with enamel porcelain and translucency porcelain. And after the second sintering resulted in decrease in chroma($C^*$) with opaque-dentin porcelain and dentin porcelain, but on the whole side in decrease with enamel porcelain and translucency porcelain. 2. After the second firing, a increase in the number of firings resulted in decrease reflectance(%) in all wavelength. 3. There were noticeable color differences(${\Delta}E$) between first sintering and multiple firings(dentin porcelain: 5.29~8.15, opaque-dentin porcelain: 4.83~8.2, enamel porcelain: 8.93~13.15, translucency porcelain: 9.37~12.91), but the color difference(${\Delta}E$) after second sintering were down to 4.87 in all porcelain. 4. Given the NBS Criteria, a 'trace' was not found this study but a 'slight' was found 2-3, 3-5 in dentin porcelain, 2-3 in opaque-dentin porcelain, 3-5, 5-10 in enamel porcelain and translucency porcelain, a 'noticeable' was 2-5, 3-10, 5-10 in dentin porcelain and opaque-dentin porcelain, 2-3, 2-5, 3-10 in enamel porcelain 2-3, 3-10 in translucency porcelain, an 'appreciable' was 1-2, 1-3, 2-10 in dentin porcelain 1-2, 1-3, 2-10, 3-10 in opaque-dentin porcelain, 2-10 in enamel porcelain, 2-5, 2-10 in translucency porcelain, a 'much' was 1-5, 1-10 in dentin porcelain and opaque-dentin porcelain, 1-2, 1-3, 1-5 in enamel porcelain 1-2, 1-3, 1-5, 1-10 in translucency porcelain, a 'very much' was 1-10 in enamel porcelain.

소비자 식품안전 체감도에 따른 식생활만족도에 관한 연구 : 식품안전정보 신뢰의 조절효과 중심으로 (A Study of Korean Consumers on Dietary Satisfaction to Sentiment Index about Food Safety : Focusing on Moderating Effects of Reliance to Food Safety Information)

  • Food is a kind of unconditional element for the health and survival of humanity. Eating is the most principle desire for humans among others, which can make humans feel stability and pleasure when the desire is well satisfied. The attention to food safety is increasing and food safety accidents are happening constantly, which makes the anxiety to food safety become more serious. Especially after the WTO, the floating of food hazards between countries are increasing, which makes the problems of food safety not just limited to inland but has become a matter of common interest internationally in this liberalization era. Therefore, institutional preparation and persistent management and supervision are necessary for increasing dietary life satisfaction as well as securing food safety. Meanwhile, the consumers also need to understand and trust the food safety information, and have the ability of personally pursuing a safe diet. In this study, sentiment index about food safety and dietary satisfaction were centered on Korean consumers and the factors having an effect on dietary satisfaction were analyzed. Moreover, whether the reliance to food safety information had a moderating effect on the sensory level of food safety and satisfaction to dietary food was also confirmed. The main results were different with those concluded by J. Yun and S. Joo (2014). The sensory level of food safety was decided by the reliance to food production distribution provision safety, anxiety to food varieties, and food token. The reliance to food production distribution provision safety was lower than the average level. The anxiety to food varieties was slightly higher than the average level. The reliance to food safety information was generally lower than the medium level which showed the distrust to food safety information. The satisfaction of diet by the consumers showed a slightly lower level than the average level. In addition, the reliance to food safety information had a moderating effect on the sentiment index about food safety and dietary satisfaction. Therefore, the consumer organizations or the government should actively expand various consumer education related to food safety in order to apprehend the concrete variables which can have effects on the satisfaction of diet and transform the precise information into accurate knowledge.

노인교육으로서의 실버수학 자료개발 및 효과성 연구 (Material Development of 'Silver Math' for Educating the Aged and Examination of its Effectiveness)

  • 본 연구는 우리 사회의 가장 큰 변화 중 하나인 노인인구의 증가에 따른 고령사회에 적극적인 대비책 중 일환으로, 노인 수학 교육에 관련된 자료 개발 및 적용 효과를 파악하는 데 목적이 있다. 본고를 통해 노인 교육으로서의 실버수학 자료를 개발해야 할 필요성 및 목적을 밝히고 노인학습자가 수학 학습을 할 수 있는 인지적 능력, 즉 사고 기억 계산 주의집중 등에 대한 특정들에 대한 연구가 이루어졌다. 이에 따라 노인의 지적 욕구와 신체적 정신적으로 건강한 삶을 위한 프로그램으로써의 역할을 하는 교육 자료 개발이 이루어졌으며, 개발한 자료를 노인들에게 적용해 나가면서 실버 수학의 효과를 탐색하였다. 노인학습자들에게 실버 수학을 하기 위한 수업 모형을 고안하고, 고안된 수업 모형에 따라 기본 수 연산이 가능한 학습자가 수학적 활동을 통해 정의적 인지적 영역에는 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 파악하였다.

Random Forests 기법을 이용한 백내장 예측모형 - 일개 대학병원 건강검진 수검자료에서 - (A Prediction Model for the Development of Cataract Using Random Forests)

  • 백내장 질환은 노령인구가 증가하고 있는 시점에서 사회, 경제적으로 심각한 문제로 부각되고 있는 질병으로 조기 진단이 이루어진다면 발병률을 크게 줄일 수 있는 질병이다. 본 연구에서는 백내장을 조기 진단하기 위한 예측 모형을 구축하고자 1994년부터 2001년까지 연세대학병원에서 2회 이상 건강검진을 받고 의사진단을 통해 백내장 여부를 확인할 수 있는 30세 이상 남 녀 3,237명에 대한 건강검진 수검 자료를 활용하여 백내장 발생 위험 예측모형을 개발하였다. 모형개발에는 데이터마이닝 기법인 Random Forests를 사용하였고, 기존의 로지스틱 회귀분석, 판별분석, 의사결정나무 모형(Decision tree), 나이브베이즈(Naive Bayes), 앙상블 모형인 배깅(Bagging)과 아킹(Arcing)을 이용하여 그 성능을 비교 분석하였다. Random Forests를 통해 개발한 백내장 발생 예측모형은 정확도가 67.16%, 민감도가 72.28%였고, 주요 영향요인은 연령, 혈당, 백혈구수치(WBC), 혈소판수치(platelet), 중성지질(triglyceride), BMI였다. 이 결과는 의사의 안과검진 정보 없이 건강검진 수검 자료만으로 백내장 질환 유 무에 관한 정보를 70% 정도 예측할 수 있음을 보여주는 것으로, 백내장의 조기 진단에 많은 기여를 할 것으로 판단된다.

체형에 따른 골프 스윙 동작 비교 (A Comparison of the Difference in the Golf Swing Motion According to Somatotypes)

  • 본 연구는 골프스윙 시 체형별로 나타나는 운동학적 요인을 분석하여 비교함으로써 체형별 골프지도를 위한 기초자료를 제공하는데 있다. 이를 위해 현재 남자 프로골프선수 9명을 대상으로 각자의 체중과 신장 그리고 상완둘레등을 고려하여 외배엽, 내배엽, 중배엽으로 체형을 나누었다. 각자의 골프스윙동작을 비디오 카메라로 촬영하여 스윙동작을 8개의 구간으로 나누어 분석하였으며 다음과 같이 결론에 도달하였다. 골프스윙 소요시간은 내배엽형이 가장 길었으며 다음으로 중배엽형, 마지막으로 외배엽형이 가장 짧은 스윙시간을 보이고 있었다. 좌우이동변위가 가장 크게 나타나는 체형은 중배엽형이었으며, 다음으로는 내배엽형, 그리고 외배엽형이 가장 작게 움직이는 것으로 나타났다. 내배엽형은 임팩트 시 상하변위가 상승쪽으로 향하고 있었으며 내배엽형과 중배엽형은 임팩트 시 거의 일정한 높이를 유지하여 안정감을 높이는 것으로 나타났다. 상체회전각도와 골반회전각도는 임팩트 시 외배엽형의 상체와 골반이 미리 돌아가는 형태를 취하고 있어 내배엽과 중배엽형에 비해 다소 다른 특징을 보이고 있었다. 이러한 스윙에 대한 체형별 운동학적 특징을 이론을 제시함에 있어 보다 근본적인 힘의 이동을 알아야 할 필요가 있다. 따라서, 차후 연구에서는 지면반력을 이용하여 압력중심점(COP)의 분석이 함께 이루어져야 할 것으로 판단된다.

부산, 경남 지역 보건계열 대학(교)의 전공학과별 전공만족도 비교 (Comparison of Satisfaction on Each Major Dept. of Health-Related Universities Located in Busan and Gyeongnam)

  • 본 연구는 각 대학(교)의 보건계열 학과인 방사선학과, 임상병리학과, 물리치료학과 학생들의 전공에 대한 만족도와 그와 관련된 요인들을 파악하여 전공학과만족에 대한 기초 지식을 제공하고 대학생활지도와 진로지도 연구에 기여하기 위하여 부산광역시와 경상남도 소재 3, 4년제 대학(교)의 보건계열 학과인 방사선학과 107명, 임상병리학과 97명, 물리치료학과 89명을 연구 대상으로 하여 조사를 실시한 결과, 전체 연구대상자의 전공 만족도는 $3.40{\pm}0.57$점이었으며, 방사선학과 $3.38{\pm}0.62$점, 임상병리학과 $3.37{\pm}0.56$점, 물리치료학과 $3.45{\pm}0.50$점으로 물리치료학과가 가장 높았다. 세부항목으로는 사회적위상이 가장 높았고 학과환경이 가장 낮았으며 4년제 보다 3년제의 만족도가 높았다. 학제와 사회적 위상, 학과적응이 전공만족도에 영향을 미쳤으며, 취업전망은 모든 학과의 전공만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났다. 따라서 각 학과에서는 일반 대학과 다른 특성화된 환경을 갖추고 첨단화된 실습 장비를 통해 실기능력과 개인 역량을 높여 학생 스스로 취업에 유리한 조건을 갖출 수 있도록 노력하게 하며, 특히 4년제 대학교 학생들의 전공만족도를 높일 수 있는 방안을 모색하고 취업지도, 취업정보제공과 더불어 산학 협력을 통해 각 학과의 사회적 위상을 더 높일 수 있는 방안을 마련하여 학생들이 학과에 대한 자부심을 가지게 하여 미래에 전 국민의 보건을 책임질 학생들이 전공학과에 만족하고 학업에 매진할 수 있도록 해야 할 것으로 생각된다.

경기지역 일부 초등학생의 성별과 비만도에 따른 영양소 섭취상태와 혈청 Leptin 및 혈청 지질에 관한 연구 (A Study of Nutrient Intake, Serum Lipid and Leptin Levels of Elementary School Students with Different Obesity Index in Kyunggi Area)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship among nutritional status, serum lipids and leptin of 134 elementary school students with different obesity index residing in Kyunggi-do, Korea. Subjects were assigned to under weight, normal weight or over weight group according to the their obesity index. Their nutritional status, serum lipid and leptin levels were evaluated based on 24-hr dietary recalls, anthropometric measurements and blood analysis. The mean weight, height and obesity index of total subjects was 150.8cm, 45.6kg and 5.4%. The mean % of body fat was higher while LBM and TBW (total body water) were lower in over weight subjects than those of other two groups. Total food, plant protein, carbohydrate, and vitamin C intakes of underweight male students were lower than those of overweight male students. The consumption of total fat was the highest in the female normal weight subjects and the lowest in female overweight subjects. Male students consumed more plant protein and vitamin C than female students. The mean daily intake of vitamin B$_2$, calcium and zinc of all subjects did not meet the Korean RDA. Also, iron intake of female students was lower than the Korean RDA. The mean level of serum leptin was the highest in male and female overweight subjects (p<0.001). The HDL-cholesterol level was the highest in the underweight group of male subjects (p<0.05) and in the normal weight group of female subjects (p<0.001) The serum level of leptin and atherogenic index (AI) of females were higher than those of males. Serum leptin of total subjects had significantly positive correlation with obesity index, weight, SBP, body fat, cholesterol intake, serum triglyceride, and AI. However, serum leptin was negatively correlated with LBM, TBW, intake of plant protein, vitamin B$_1$, vitamin C and serum HDL-cholesterol. Obesity index was also positively correlated with weight, SBP, body fat, serum triglyceride and AI. To summarize the results, the vitamin B$_2$, calcium, zinc, iron and fiber intakes should be supplied to elementary school students, especially those who were overweight. The average serum leptin level of students showed remarkably positive correlation with obesity index, body fat, serum lipids and AI. Also, it was suggested that the serum leptin might be related to the dietary factors like cholesterol, plant protein, vitamin B$_1$ and vitamin C of elementary school students.

Comparison of dietary food and nutrient intakes by supplement use in pregnant and lactating women in Seoul

  • This study was performed to compare the dietary food and nutrient intakes according to supplement use in pregnant and lactating women in Seoul. The subjects were composed of 201 pregnant and 104 lactating women, and their dietary food intake was assessed using the 24-h recall method. General information on demographic and socioeconomic factors, as well as health-related behaviors, including the use of dietary supplements, were collected. About 88% and 60% of the pregnant and lactating women took dietary supplements, respectively. The proportion of dietary supplements used was higher in pregnant women with a higher level of education. After adjusting for potential confounders, among the pregnant women, supplement users were found to consume 45% more vegetables, and those among the lactating women were found to consume 96% more beans and 58% more vegetables. The intakes of dietary fiber and ${\beta}$-carotene among supplement users were higher than those of non-users, by 23% and 39%, respectively. Among pregnant women, the proportion of women with an intake of vitamin C (from diet alone) below the estimated average requirements (EAR) was lower among supplement users [users (44%) vs. non-users (68%)], and the proportion of lactating women with intakes of iron (from diet alone) below the EAR was lower among supplement users [usesr (17%) vs. non-users (38%)]. These results suggest that among pregnant and lactating women, those who do not use dietary supplements tend to have a lower intake of healthy foods, such as beans and vegetables, as well as a lower intake of dietary fiber and ${\beta}$-carotene, which are abundant in these foods, and non-users are more likely than users to have inadequate intake of micro-nutrient such as vitamin C and iron.
