월경전후기증상의 유형과 월경전증상 관련식이요인 (Patterns of Perimenstrual Symptoms and Related Dietary Factors to Premenstrual Syndromes)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to differentiate between women with three perimenstrual symptom severity patterns : premenstrual syndrome(PMS), premenstrual magnification(PMM), and low symptom(LS), and to explore the related dietary factors to premenstrual symptoms. Method: Women were asked to keep a diary record of perimenstrual symptoms and food intake for 50 days. Result: Symptom patterns were defined for 26 among 38 women ; Eight(21.1%) demonstrated a PMS pattern, three(7.9%) demonstrated a PMM pattern, and fifteen(39.5%) exhibited a LS pattern. There were significant differences in symptom scores during the premenstrual phase($x^2=19.30$, p=.000), menstrual phase($x^2=13.32$, p=.001), and post menstrual phase($x^2=9.93$, p=.007) for three groups. Protein, vit E, vit C, niacin, folic acid, and phosphorus in the premenstrual phase, and energy, and vit B6 in the menstrual period were significantly different between the three groups. Among dietary compositions, amino acids, lipids, fatty acids, saturated fatty acids, natrium, vit B6, niacin, and vit E were negatively related to PMS symptoms. Conclusion: Pattern of perimenstrual symptoms should be differentiated for individualized PMS management. As a more efficient diet assessment for PMS women, randomized nutritional analysis during the 3 phases of the menstrual cycle should be done and a replication study is necessary with a larger sample.

당뇨병 환자의 라이프로그 데이터를 이용한 식단 추천 시스템 (Diet Recommendation System using Life Log Data of Diabetic Patients)

  • 국민건강보험공단에 따르면 불규칙한 식습관, 스트레스, 운동 부족 등의 요인으로 젊은 당뇨 환자가 2017년 대비 2021년에 3,564,059명으로 24.3% 증가 추세를 보였다. 모든 연령층에서 증가 중인 당뇨병은 약물치료, 규칙적인 운동, 식사요법 관리가 필요하다. 이 중 식사요법은 적절한 열량 및 균형 잡힌 3대 영양소 섭취를 필요로 하므로 매우 체계적인 관리가 필요하다. 현재 당뇨 식단 추천은 개인 정보, 건강 정보, 사회적, 문화적 측면을 고려하여 식단을 제안하지만, 건강 정보에 대한 다중 변수를 고려하지 않은 부분이 미흡하다. 이에 본 논문은 당뇨병 환자의 라이프로그 데이터를 이용한 식단 추천 시스템을 제안하여 데이터 다중 변수를 고려해 개인의 건강 상태에 따른 맞춤형 식단을 추천하고자 한다.

성남지역 노인 영양교육 프로그램의 효과 분석 (The Analysis of Effect on Nutrition Education Program for the Elderly in Sung-nam Area)

  • Elder people in Korea was affecting the nutritional status by following factors : low energy intakes, low food diversity, and poor quality of nutrition. Management a nutrition education program was planned to change the elder's nutrition knowledge and improve their nutritional status. There are seven kinds of indicator - knowledge for health questionnaire (before and after education) - we have investigated elderly nutrition education group in Su-Jung ku, Sung-Nam city. The items of surveyed was general characteristics and anthropometric measurement of the elder people, their mini dietary assessment index score, nutritional risk, nutrition knowledge test, and it's valuation comparisons between the before and after every education we did. According to the results of mini dietary assessment index score, the mean was 22.7 at the maximum 30 points and $94.2\%$ of respondents got more than nomal group. The nutritional risk score was the highest in 'high risk' group. Also the results of nutrition knowlede test showed that the mean increase $35.1\%$ of respondents. Therefore, significant improvement results showed by nutrition education programs in elders. These results suggests that the educating nutrition programs fur elder's encouraging eating behavior themselves and changing their knowledge in nutrition.

  • The purpose of this research was to investigate the relationship between white rice consumption and dietary intake, the risk of metabolic syndrome in Korean based on $1^{st}$ (1998), $4^{th}$ (2007~2009), $6^{th}$ (2013) KNHANES. This study included 25,799 subjects who were age 10 or over. Three groups(low, medium, high) were divided according to white rice consumption (per day). In the low group, the meat and oil intake were significantly higher than the high group. In the $1^{st}$ survey year, the BMI, waist circumstances, hypertriglyceridemia and fasting blood glucose in the high group were higher than other groups, however the $4^{th}$ and $6^{th}$ survey year showed no significant results. In the $1^{st}$ survey year the risk of waist circumstances was higher in the high white rice consumption group and also had high risk with hypertriglyceridemia. Since the lower white rice consumption in $4^{th}$ than $1^{st}$ survey year we found no significant results. But in the 6th survey year with the lowest white rice consumption the risk of high diastolic pressure was reduced in high group. Because continuously reduced white rice consumption meantime showed more intake of meat and oil, it can be concluded that defensive effects with the Korean health.

1인가구 청년의 건강행태, 식습관 및 심리적 건강이 대사증후군에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Health Behaviors, Dietary Habits, and Psychological Health on Metabolic Syndrome in One-Person Households Among Korean Young Adults)

  • 본 연구는 국민건강영양조사 제6기 2차년도(2014년)와 제7기 1차년도(2016년) 원시자료를 분석하여 1인가구와 다인가구 청년의 건강행태, 식습관 및 심리적 건강상태를 비교하고, 이들 요인이 대사증후군에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위해 실시되었다. 연구 대상자는 20-39세 남녀 2,682명(1인가구 173명, 다인가구 2,509명)이었고, 복합표본 교차분석, 일반선형모형 t-검정, 다중 로지스틱 회귀분석을 시행하였다. 1인가구와 다인가구 청년에게 공통적으로 유의하게 나타난 대사증후군 영향요인은 성별, 연령, 비만, 주관적 건강상태였고, 1인가구 청년에게만 유의한 요인은 아침식사 빈도, 매 끼니 혼밥 여부, 식품표시 이용 여부, 스트레스 인지, 우울 정도였으며, 다인가구 청년에게만 유의한 요인은 음주였다. 본 연구는 1인가구와 다인가구 청년의 대사증후군 영향요인에 차이가 있음을 보여주었고, 이는 1인가구를 위한 대사증후군 예방 중재를 계획할 때 차별화된 전략이 필요함을 나타낸다.

Personalized Diets based on the Gut Microbiome as a Target for Health Maintenance: from Current Evidence to Future Possibilities

  • Recently, the concept of personalized nutrition has been developed, which states that food components do not always lead to the same metabolic responses, but vary from person to person. Although this concept has been studied based on individual genetic backgrounds, researchers have recently explored its potential role in the gut microbiome. The gut microbiota physiologically communicates with humans by forming a bidirectional relationship with the micronutrients, macronutrients, and phytochemicals consumed by the host. Furthermore, the gut microbiota can vary from person to person and can be easily shifted by diet. Therefore, several recent studies have reported the application of personalized nutrition to intestinal microflora. This review provides an overview of the interaction of diet with the gut microbiome and the latest evidence in understanding the inter-individual differences in dietary responsiveness according to individual baseline gut microbiota and microbiome-associated dietary intervention in diseases. The diversity of the gut microbiota and the presence of specific microorganisms can be attributed to physiological differences following dietary intervention. The difference in individual responsiveness based on the gut microbiota has the potential to become an important research approach for personalized nutrition and health management, although further well-designed large-scale studies are warranted.

고등학생의 식습관과 건강행동 및 영양교육 상태 -경기 광명지역을 중심으로- (Dietary and Health Behaviors and Nutrition Education Environments of High School Students in Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi Province)

  • This study provides basic data for the development of nutrition education programs for high schools by examining adolescents' demand for nutrition education and their dietary and health behaviors. A survey was conducted for 500 students attending two high schools in the Gwangmyeong area. The questionnaire addressed their dietary habits, health behaviors, and nutrition education. In terms of meal conditions, 70.6% of all respondents had meals at least four times a day, 67.2% skipped breakfast frequently, and only 29.9% had breakfast with their family members. In addition, 66.0% reported a slightly unbalanced diet depending on the food (35.1% for vegetables and 28.2% for legumes). Nutrition labeling was checked occasionally (44.4%) by male respondents and surely (39.3%) by female respondents (p<0.01). In terms of health behaviors, 67.4% of male respondents reported a lack of sleep (5-7 hours), 33.3% of male respondents reported exercising three to four times a week, and 42.7% of female respondents reported no exercise. For the level of stress, 58.9% of male respondents reported "sometimes", and 43.0% of female respondents reported "always". For interest in nutrition education, 58.3% of the respondents reported "no". A majority of the respondents learned about nutrition through "the media or the Internet" (89.6%). The health behavior score was significantly carelated with dietary habits (p<0.01) and the stress score (p<0.05) for male students, and it was negatively correlated with checking nutrition labels (p<0.01) and positively correlated with the BMI for female students. These results suggest that appropriate health behaviors can help overcome stress and produce better dietary habits for male students, but for females, the results are ambiguous. A majority of the respondents (57.9%) perceived a need for nutrition education as part of the high school curriculum, and the content of such a curriculum included more meals with family members and the importance of breakfast. Based on the results, nutrition education for male students should focus on nutrition labeling, whereas that for female students, on exercise frequency and proper weight management.

Nutritional Status of Thiamin in Elementary School Children Living in Rural Areas of Chungbuk

  • The present study was performed to assess nutritional status of thiamin in 104 elementary school children, living in rural areas of Chungbuk. Dietary intake was obtained by 24 hour recall method and blood was collected to analyze the transketolase activity in erythrocytes. Average dietary intake of thiamin was found to be adequate (1.l5mg, 109.2% of RDA), even though dietary intake of energy was not more than 1,719kcal, 81.5% of RDA. Transketolase activity in erythrocytes was distributed in the range of 0.294-0.744mU/mgHb and the mean value was 0.540mU/mgHb. The mean value of TPP effect was 7.9% and the range was 0-77.4%. It appeared that 7.7% of children were deficient in thiamin, severely or marginally. There were no significant correlations between transketolase activity and dietary thiamin intake, and between TPP effect and dietary thiamin intake. Mean DVS (Dietary variety score) of the children was 14.2${\pm}$3.2 and DVS was apparently correlated with thiamin intake.

복부비만 관리프로그램이 성인 비만여성의 식이섭취, 스트레스지수 및 복부비만율에 미치는 영향 - 복부비만감소군과 복부비만증가군의 비교를 중심으로 - (Effect of an abdominal obesity management program on dietary intake, stress index, and waist to hip ratio in abdominally obese women - Focus on comparison of the WHR decrease and WHR increase groups -)

  • 본 연구는 비만연구소 복부비만관리 프로그램에 참여한 복부비만율 0.80 이상인 복부비만 여성 195명을 대상으로 12주간 실시하였으며, 프로그램 종료 후 복부비만 감소 여부에 따라 복부비만율 감소군과 복부비만율 증가군으로 나누어 신체계측치의 변화, 식이섭취의 변화, 혈관나이, 스트레스 지수 및 건강지수의 변화를 비교 하였다. 영양소의 섭취량을 살펴본 결과, 체중, 허리둘레, 엉덩이둘레가 유의적으로 감소한 복부비만율 감소군에서 식물성 단백질, 칼륨, 비타민 A, 엽산, 식이섬유, 칼슘, 인, 비타민 $B_2$, 비타민 $B_6$, 비타민 C, 식물성지방, 철분, 나트륨, 나이아신, 비타민 E 및 다가불포화지방산의 영양밀도가 유의적으로 증가하였고, 단백질, 칼슘, 인, 비타민 A, 비타민 $B_1$, 비타민 $B_2$ 그리고 비타민 C의 INQ가 유의적으로 증가하였다. 특히 식이섬유, 칼슘, 인, 아연, 비타민 $B_6$, 비타민 C 그리고 비타민 E의 변화율은 복부비만율 감소군에서 더 컸으며, 두 그룹간의 유의적인 차이를 보였다. 식품섭취 다양성의 변화를 살펴보기 위해 식품군별 섭취 가짓수를 비교해 본 결과, 복부비만율 감소군에서 어패류, 두류, 견과류, 채소류 그리고 버섯류 가짓수가 유의적으로 증가한 것으로 나타났다. 복부비만율 감소군에서는 스트레스 지수와 건강지수가 유의적으로 개선된 반면 복부비만율 증가군에서는 건강지수가 감소하였다. 본 연구에서는 복부비만율 변화와 영양밀도, 혈관나이, 스트레스 지수 및 건강지수 변화간의 상관성을 알아보았다. 그 결과, 복부비만율 감소의 변화율이 높을수록 식물성 단백질, 식물성 지질, 섬유질, 칼슘, 철분, 칼륨, 아연, 비타민 A, 비타민 $B_2$, 비타민 $B_6$, 비타민 C 그리고 엽산의 섭취량이 유의적으로 감소하였고, 복부비만율 증가의 변화율이 높을수록 동물성 단백질과 총 지질의 섭취량이 유의적으로 증가하였다. 스트레스 지수와 건강지수와의 관련성에서는 복부비만율 감소율이 높을수록 스트레스 지수가 유의적으로 감소하는 양의 상관관계를 보인 반면, 건강지수는 증가하는 음의 상관관계를 보였다. 이상을 통해 볼 때, 영양교육과 식습관 및 생활습관 개선 교육으로 구성된 복부비만관리 프로그램은 식이섭취에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 뿐만 아니라 스트레스도 완화시켜 복부비만율 개선에 도움이 되므로, 후속 연구에서는 이러한 교육을 장기프로그램에 적용시킨 뒤 이러한 복부비만율 개선이 지속적으로 유지되는 지를 살펴보는 것이 필요하다.

정신요양시설 만성조현병환자의 상부위장관질환 유무에 따른 식습관, 생활습관, 건강태도 및 자기효능감 비교연구 (Comparison of Dietary Habit, Lifestyle, Health Attitude and Self-efficacy by Upper Gastrointestinal Disease among Group Mental Health Care Facilities with Chronic Schizophrenia)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 상부위장관질환을 가진 만성조현병환자와 상부위장관질환이 없는 만성조현병환자를 대상으로 생활습관, 식습관, 건강태도와 자기효능감을 비교 확인함으로써 정신요양시설에서의 만성조현병환자의 생활습관, 식습관과 건강태도를 향상시키고, 자기효능감을 증진시키기 위한 대안을 모색하는데 기초자료를 제공하기 위해 시도되었다. 본 연구의 자료수집 기간은 2019년 2월 20일에서 4월 30일까지이다. 자료는 SPSS/WIN 22.0을 활용하여 카이제곱, 독립 t-검정과 ANCOVA로 분석하였다. 상부위장관질환 여부에 따라 유의한 차이를 보인 영향요인은 인구사회학적 요인으로 연령과 교육정도, 생활습관 요인으로는 탄산음료와 신체활동강도, 식습관 요인으로는 과식, 간식, 야식, 지방음식, 다른 요인으로는 자기효능감이 있었다. 본 연구는 만성조현병환자가 일상생활에서 흔히 접하게 되는 상부위장관질환의 특징적인 특성을 확인한 연구라는데 의의가 있다. 또한 본 연구결과는 만성조현병환자의 생활습관과 식습관을 개선하고 자기효능감을 높이기 위한 다양한 중재 방법을 개발할 필요가 있음을 보여준다.
