The purpose of this study was to examine guardian's attitudes toward behavior guidance techniques used in pediatric dentistry. In this study, 117 guardians participated and the several behavior guidance techniques being used during actual pediatric dental treatment were explained to the guardians prior to writing a questionnaire. The behavior guidance techniques explained were: tell-show-do, voice control, protective stabilization by device, protective stabilization by staff, nitrous oxide sedation, sedation, and general anesthesia. For analysis, 106 completed survey forms were selected. Tell-show-do was rated as the most acceptable technique, followed (in order of decreasing acceptance) by: voice control; protective stabilization by staff; nitrous oxide sedation; protective stabilization by device; sedation; general anesthesia. Acceptance of each behavior guidance technique was not related to guardian age, gender, patient age, patient gender, patient dental experience, type of visit, and position of doctor. Within the limit of this study, the communicative guidance techniques (tell-show-do, voice control) were more acceptable than advanced behavior guidance techniques (protective stabilization, sedation, general anesthesia). The acceptability of general anesthesia was the lowest. The results of this survey may contribute to maintain optimal dentist - guardians communication in pediatric dentistry.
The purpose of this study was to investigate on paid hospital-nurses' work perception, knowledge, performance and the performance-related factors of a nurse who works in a hospital with no guardian which is phased in its beginning as well as interactions between the factors. Data were collected from nurses working in wards without guardian at 9 hospitals among a total of 10 Korean hospitals carrying out a national pilot project which is designed for institutionalization of national caregiving services. Self reported questionnaires were used to collect data from 167 nurses, and 135 returned forms were analyzed(December, 2010). The score of perception was 4.24/5.00, knowledge 4.25/5.00, and performance 3.49/5.00. The performance was significantly different depending on the hospital types(p=.002). Significant correlations were found among perception(p<.001), knowledge(p=.004) and performance. The degree of perception(p<.001) and types of hospital(p<.001) attributed to 16.5% of variance in the practice. To enhance level of performance by taking account of perception and types of hospital, can be effective for hospital-nurses when there is no guardian.

The purpose of this study is to suggest a direction for efficient teaching and learning idiomatic expressions in Korean to improve the vocabulary of Korean language learners. In order to make learning more interesting and enhance learning effectiveness for Korean language learners, the drama, , which was popular in Korea, was used as educational material. Since idomatic language is formed and used based on Korean history, culture, and social background, dramas containing Korean culture and sentiments can be said to be suitable materials for the teaching and learning of Korean idiomatic expressions. By analyzing the drama , 277 significant vocabularies were extracted from the drama based on vocabulary actually used. Among these, 124 idiomatic expressions were extracted after excluding overlapping expressions. Idiomatic expressions extracted in this way were classified based on vocabulary used more than 2 times. In addition, in order to select idiomatic expressions suitable for the level of the learners, 46 final expressions for Korean language education were selected considering the difficulty of vocabulary. Lastly, when the materials selected in the drama were used for education, the precautions for teaching and learning, and the direction of education on idiomatic language were classified into elementary, intermediate, and advanced grades and presented.

Participants were selected from nurses working in the comprehensive nursing care unit at general hospital. The main question was "Can you describe your experience in the comprehensive nursing care unit?" All interviews were recorded and transcribed, then analyzed using Colaizzi's method. Results: Nine themes were derived from the analysis: 'Practice nursing care', 'Feel thankful of the client', 'Difficulty in nursing due to absence of patients' guardian', 'Tired of over-demanding patient and distrust of guardian', 'Confusion regarding one's identity as a nurse', 'Not enough to support system', 'Insufficient pre-training for nurse and client', 'Requirement of work establishment for nurse and nurse aid', 'Concerns about low rewards and high safety accidents'. Conclusion: As a comprehensive nursing service, the nurses provided total patient care, and patient satisfaction and expression of appreciation increased. However, disadvantages were identified, such as patients' excessive needs, communication difficulties, lack of support systems, low compensation, and a high number of safety accidents. Therefore, systematic comprehensive nursing will be achieved if these shortcomings are addressed.

Methods: Mentally disabled persons who had participated in rehabilitation programs in one of 16 mental health centers and 9 community rehabilitation centers located in Seoul and Kyunggi province were recruited for this study. A random sampling method was used and 414 respondents were used for final analysis. Data was analyzed by Pearson's correlation, and stepwise multiple regression using the SPSS Win 14.0. Results: The predictors influencing employment intention of the mentally disabled person were observed as employment desire (${\beta}=.48$), guardian's expectation (${\beta}=.26$), professional's support (${\beta}=.23$), financial management (${\beta}=.10$), eating habits (${\beta}=.07$), and quality of life (${\beta}=-.01$). Six factors explained 61.1% of employment intention of mentally disabled persons. Conclusion: The employment intention of a mentally disabled person was influenced by employment desire, diet self-efficacy, guardian's expectation, professional's support, quality of life, financial management and eating habits.
The right to self-determination in regard to one's body is a key element of human dignity, privacy and freedom. It is constitutionally enshrined in the guarantee of human dignity, in the general right of personality and, most concretely of all, in the right to physical integrity. In principle No-one may trespass another person's body against his will, whether this act improves his physical condition or not. This right of self-determination applies equally to healthy and to sick people. Hence everyone has the right either to permit or to refuse a medical treatment, unless he can not make a rational decision. If the person does not consent himself, for whatever reason, another one must do for him as guardian. Representation in consent to medical treatment is therefore the exception of self-determination rule. This article explored, 1. who can consent to the medical treatment in the case of the mentally incapacitated adult and the infant, 2. what kind of consent to the medical treatment can the deputy determinate for the mentally incapacitated adult and the infant, 3. when the deputy can not determinate without permission of the court, and 4. what can the doctor do in the case of conflict between minors and guardians.

Since lost child occurs frequently around us and there is a possibility of leading to an accident or a crime subsequently, it is necessary to study and have a plan for preventing child loss in advance. However, the preceding studies do not systemize the causes of child loss by places or situations, and the policy focuses only on the countermeasures afterward instead of prevention. In such perspective, this study derived the causes of child loss through the analysis of 202 cases by the bottom-up method. In addition, the causes were analyzed by dividing them into as negligence of guardian, breakaway of child, and environmental characteristics. As a result, it is found that children get lost by complex reasons usually with two or three causes combined together. And children got lost when guardians were not able to pay attention to their children, or when children moved away from their guardians. Furthermore, the environmental characteristics act as the catalyst by arousing child loss or making it more difficult for guardian to find the lost child. As a fundamental research, this study may be helpful in developing a environmental design certification system for preventing child loss in advance.
The amendment of the Korea Civil Code will take place July 1, 2013. One of the most import issues related to adult guardianship system is a part. Though more than 100 new provisions, the revised Civil Code fundamentally reformed the guardianship system to establish a system to meet the diverse and complex needs of those who need a guardian and ensure due process. The new adult guardianship system intended to respect dignity and human right of mentally incapacitated adults, to guaranee their autunomy and to minimize the public interventions for assisting them. The new guardianship system for vulnerable adult has three kinds of legal guardianship system (adult guardianship, limited guardianship and specific guardianship). Mental patients forced the hospitalization of the mental health code and will be treated as an agreement incapable person. In principle an agreement incapable person has capacity of consent. The consent of the mental patients are admitted first. It is advisable to medical care only by the consent of the guardian when the the mental patient do not agree ability. If the mental patient do not agree with the mentally ill, but there should be a supervisory capacity for a guardianship of the couple guardian supervision. In conclusion, it not lost the capacity to consent to inpatient mental illness called. Therefore, we must discuss in detail the scope of the agreement for the mental patients. Mental Health Act amendments are necessary in accordance with the amended Civil Code.

The stone lantern of the four guardian kings in the Beopjusa temple at Boeun was mainly made of biotite granodiorite consisting of porphyritic-textured potassium feldspar and included in ilmenite series. A base stone made of alkali granite was buried, after founded its place during an earlier restoration process. Cracking and break out are noticeable on this object. In addition, discoloration, salt crusting, and epiphytes were observed. The lantern was vulnerable in terms of physical and structural stability caused by cracking in the front and back of the light chamber and in the non-horizontal direction. According to the conservational condition of the stone lantern, structural reinforcement was carried out based on calculations, including those on the position, size, and anchor length of the titanium stiffener. Chemical and biological pollutants were washed off without damage to the surface of the stone material. Oxygenated iron pieces were replaced with titanium. Ethyl silicate was applied to the surface of the lantern for consolidation and smooth drainage.
