중학생 봉사활동 유형과 지도기관에 따른 자아개념 변화의 분석 (The Analysis of the changes in self-concept of middle school students by the types of volunteer activities and guiding organizations)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide the basic data to activate the operation of the volunteer activities. The specified subjects for this study are how different is it in the changes of the self-concept and the satisfaction and the intention of the continuance of volunteer activities according to the type of volunteer work and guiding organization for middle school students. For this study, 64 students, the homogeneous ability group, were intentionally assigned in the preliminary inspection of self-concept and 16 students were randomly allocated respectively for 4 groups. The consequences based on the result are as follow: First, it has more influence with the group activities than the individual on the changes in the self-concept. But, there isn't meaningful difference by each guiding organization. Therefore, the school has to provide with activating middle school student's activities by developing various weekly and monthly club volunteer activities. Second, for the satisfaction and the intention of continuance among the guiding organization, it has meaningful difference in the group activities only, not in the individual ones. It gives the ground for the government to provide intensified support to the leaders of the group and grant the incentives to the group of distinguished activities, in the perspective of developing sociality, promoting the group volunteer activities.

Household food insecurity, diet quality, and weight status among indigenous women (Mah Meri) in Peninsular Malaysia

  • BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: This cross-sectional study assessed household food security status and determined its association with diet quality and weight status among indigenous women from the Mah Meri tribe in Peninsular Malaysia. SUBJECTS/METHODS: The Radimer/Cornell Hunger and Food Insecurity Instrument and the Malaysian Healthy Eating Index (HEI) were used to assess household food security status and diet quality, respectively. Information on socio-demographic characteristics and 24-hour dietary recall data were collected through face-to-face interview, and anthropometric measurements including weight, height, and body mass index (BMI) were obtained from 222 women. RESULTS: Majority of households (82.9%) experienced different levels of food insecurity: 29.3% household food insecurity, 23.4% individual food insecurity, and 30.2% fell into the child hunger group. The food-secure group had significantly fewer children and smaller household sizes than the food-insecure groups (P < 0.05). The mean household income, income per capita, and food expenditure significantly decreased as food insecurity worsened (P < 0.001). The food-secure group had significantly higher Malaysian HEI scores for grains and cereals (P < 0.01), as well as for meat, poultry, and eggs (P < 0.001), than the food-insecure groups. The child-hunger group had significantly higher fat (P < 0.05) and sodium (P < 0.001) scores than the food-secure and household food-insecure groups. Compared to the individual food-insecure and child-hunger groups, multivariate analysis of covariance showed that the food-secure group was significantly associated with a higher Malaysian HEI score while the household food-insecure group was significantly associated with a higher BMI after controlling for age (P < 0.025). CONCLUSIONS: The majority of indigenous households faced food insecurity. Food insecurity at the individual and child levels was associated with lower quality of diet, while food insecurity at the household level was associated with higher body weight. Therefore, a substantial effort by all stakeholders is warranted to improve food insecurity among poorer households. The results suggest a pressing need for nutritional interventions to improve dietary intake among low income households.

학습 장애아 진단 도구로 기초 학습 기능 검사의 유용성에 관한 연구 (A USEFULNESS OF KEDI-INDIVIDUAL BASIC LEARNING SKILLS TEST AS A DIAGNOSTIC TOOL OF LEARNING DISORDERS)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 학습 장애를 진단하는데 있어 성취도 검사인 기초학습기능검사의 유용성을 살펴보는 것이다. 학습 장애 집단은 두 유형으로 나누어 언어적 학습 장애 집단(VLD:Verbal Learning Disorder) 34명, 비언어적 학습 장애 집단(NVLD:Nonverbal Learning Disorder) 14명으로 총 48명으로 구성되었으며, 비교 집단으로는 Dysthymia 집단 11명, 정상아 20명을 대상으로 지능 검사 및 기초학습 기능검사의 수행을 비교하였다. 지능 검사에서 VLD집단은 어휘력 및 언어를 통한 학습 과제, 언어-청각적인 주의과제에서 의미있는 저하를 나타내었고, NVLD 집단은 시-지각의 정확도, 정신-운동성 기능의 협응 속도, 시각-공각적인 조직력 등 동작성 기능 전반에 걸쳐 비효율성을 나타내었다. 기초학습기능검사에서는 VLD 집단은 음운 부호화과제, 셈하기 능력, 단어 재인 과제에서 의미있는 저하를 나타내었다. 또한 지능 검사의 소검사들에 기초학습기능검사의 소검사들을 포함하여 판별 분석을 한 결과, 기초학습기능검사를 포함시키지 않은 경우보다 판별율이 높아졌을 뿐 아니라, VLD집단을 유의미하게 판별해 주는 판별 함수를 도출하였다. 각 소검사들의 속성을 분석하기 위하여 요인 분석을 실시하였으며 이를 통하여 소검사들을 유목화하였으며 마지막으로 현 논문의 제한점 및 기초학습기능검사의 제한점을 논의하였다.

  • The goal of this paper is to provide a Graphic man-machine interface that can be used to control multiple robots simultaneously. The proposed GUI scheme gave emphasis on making multiple robots Perform the cooperative works, maintaining a given formation. It controls multiple robots in two different modes. : a group mode and a individual mode. In the group mode, a common goal position and formation are delivered to individual robots at the same time, and in the individual mode one robot is selected. o increase the efficiency of the interface, a time scheduler is provided. The experimental results are included.

하악 치열궁에서 제 3 대구치 맹출상태에 따른 밀집에 관한 연구 (A COMPARATIVE STUDY ON CROWDING ACCORDING TO THE STATUS OF THE THIRD MOLARS IN MANDIBULAR ARCH)

  • It has been generally believed that the impaction or eruption of mandibular third molars has significant correlations with the growth of the mandible, size of mandibular arch and size of teeth. The purpose of this study was to examine if there is any correlation between the status of eruption of mandibular third molars and the amount of mandibular crowding. The effect of missing of third moalrs to mandibular crowding was studied as well. 140 adult students of Yonsei University were selected and divided into three groups according to the status of mandibular third molars, Group 1) congenital missing group, Group 2) eruption group, and Group 3) impaction group. The tooth size, dimensions of the mandibular dental arch, and the amount of crowding were measured and compared. Results were as follows ; 1. There was no statistically significant difference in tooth size between the missing group and the eruption group(p<0.05). Impaction group showed larger total tooth material, inci- sal tooth material, and individual tooth size except central incisors compared to missing group (p<0.05). Impaction group showed larger total tooth material, incisal tooth material compared to eruption group as well(p<0.05). When individual tooth size was compared, impaction group had larger central incisors, canines, and second premolars than eruption group(p<0.05). 2. Missing group showed larger intermolar width than impaction group and it was stati- stically significant(p<0.05). 3. When compared the amount of total crowding, impaction group showed the largest am- ount of crowding, then eruption group, and missing group showed the least amount of crowding respectively(p<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference between missing stoup and eruption group in the amount of incisal crowding(p<0.05). Impaction group show- ed the largest amount of incisal crowding among all three groups(p<0.05).

Design and Implementation of Web-Based Cooperative Learning System Co-Net

  • This study investigated to designand implement web-based collaborative learning system Co-Net and map out students' learning procedure using the system, based upon Student Team Achievement Division (STAD Slavin, 1990, 1996). There are technical process and instructional considerations to be made during the design process. The former are those that concern equipment requirements and specifications and include Ease of Use, Speed of Access, and Flexibility. On the other hand, instructional considerationsare concerned with the delivery and access of instructional materials and their outcomes on learners. They are cooperative interactions within groups and group heterogeneity, learner control, group incentives, individual accountability, equal opportunity for earning high scores and contributing to group effort, task specialization, and competition among groups. A web site for a virtual learning environment designed and built by the authors and known as Co-Net is then explained along with the whole process learners inside the environment. The main page of Co-Net consists of 15 menus to implement cooperative learning process. The cooperative learning activities using 15 menus are composed of six phases (1) preparation of the new knowledge (2) presentation of the new knowledge (3) knowledge assimilation and application (4) team and individual evaluation (5) team and individual recognition Throughout the five phases, the appropriate use of cooperative learning techniques has been shown to have both academic and social benefits to learners.

영아의 어린이집 적응 추이의 유형 및 예측 요인에 대한 단기종단연구: 성장혼합모형과 잠재계층분석을 활용하여 (A Short-term Longitudinal Study on Types and Predictors of Trajectories of Adaptation to Child Care Among Infants and Toddlers: Using Growth Mixture Modeling and Latent Classes Analysis)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine underlying types of developmental trajectories of adaptation to child care among infants and toddlers. This study also aimed to identify latent classes in their child care adaptation types in order to find predictors that account for individual differences. Methods: Participants were 420 mothers of infants and toddlers and 123 teachers. The levels of child care adaptation of participating infants and toddlers were rated monthly from early April to June, 2019. The collected data were analyzed using growth mixture modeling, latent class analysis and multinominal logistic analysis. Results: The results of growth trajectories of child care adaptation showed there were two to four latent groups by dimension of child care adaptation. Also, the groups of individual dimensions of child care adaptation were classified into three latent classes, which were 'complying and positive group', 'negative group', and 'individualized group. Multinominal logistic analysis revealed that children's age, gender, and temperament differentiated the three latent classes of adaptation to child care. Conclusion/Implications: The results show individual characteristics that infants and toddlers possess should be prudently considered in order for successful adaptation to child care.

학령기 여아의 체형 특성(제1보) -학령기별 체형 변이 특성을 중심으로- (Somatotype Characteristics of Elementary School Girls (Part I) -Focusing somatotype changing charcteristics on each grade group-)

  • The purposes of this study were to provide the fundamental data on elementary school girls' somatotype for their clothing construction by contemplating the stage of physical growth dividing into the period of school age and characterizing the variation of body type according to the school age. The results are as follows : 1. Form the results of one-way variables analysis and multiple comparson test(Duncan's test) classification of the period school age can be divided into 'early grade(1 2 grade)' ' middle grade(3 4 grade)' and 'later grade(5 6 grade)' 2. As the results of analyzing Mean Coefficient of Variation and Standard Deviation graph for direct and indirect measurments and index especially of the Coefficient Variation that explain individual difference of growth the items of height indicates individual difference related with height of lower body of early grade group the items of length individual difference related with length of upper body of later grade group and the items of circumference make little difference. The items of anagle makes pretty higher value that direct measurements and especially in lower angle of chest make a distinctive difference, This fact proves that children's somatotype change from the belly part extruded forwards of early and middle grade to the upper body part slanted slightly forward of later grade.

일본기업의 R&D 인적자원관리의 현황과 과제 (Human Resource Management Practices for R&D Scientists and Engineers in Japanese Firms)

  • Japanese firms have developed their own distinctive human resource management(HRM) practices for R&D scientists and engineers. These practices consist of homogeneity of work group, standardized in-house training programs, great standardization and company control of careers, and broad job rotation following the process of commercialization of developed technology. These practices facilitate human and informational exchange and sharing between basic laboratories and development departments as well as between R&D and marketing department which contribute to the ket competitive advantage of Japanese products. But recently Japanese firm are forced to change their HRM practices. They face some srious problems in continuing their long0standing strategy of being a rapid and skillful‘ technology follower’,drawing on the basic research performed in the advanced nations and embodying it in products that are produced with high quality at relatively lower cost. There is a growing trend of strengthening basic research among Japanese firms today. In accordance with the emphasis on basic research, Japanese firms have been adopting new HRM practices for scientists and engineers which are in the opposite direction of the traditional one. These newly developed practices stress on individual vitality rather than group cohesiveness from the fusion of individual difference. These include heterogeneity of work group, multiple career paths to be chosen by individuals, incentive plan based individual performance.

물리 교사들의 교과 내용과 교수 학습에 관한 집단 논증활동과 개인적 논증 글 분석 (Physics Teachers' Group Argumentation and Written Arguments about Physics Content and Teaching)

  • 이 연구는 물리 교사들의 그룹 논증활동과 그 후에 작성한 개인적인 논증의 글을 각각 분석하여 그룹 논증활동이 개인적 논증을 어떻게 매개하는지를 탐색하였다. 연구는 중학교 과학교사 2명과 고등학교 물리교사 3명이 참여하였고, 논증은 물리 내용과 물리 교수학습에 관한 것이었다. 연구결과 물리 교사들이 그룹 논증활동에 비해 개인적인 논증 글을 더 정교하게 구성하였고, 이는 교사들의 말과 글의 논증활동에 대한 인식이 다른 것에 기인한 것으로 추정할 수 있었다. 또한 물리 교사들은 개인적으로 논증을 구성할 때 그룹 논증활동을 통해 동료들과 공유했던 생각들을 선택적으로 수용한 것이 드러났다. 마지막으로 물리 내용과 물리 교수학습에 관한 논증활동은 서로 다른 특성을 가지는데, 이는 논증활동에서 지향점의 차이를 반영하는 것으로 드러났다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 교사들에게 논증활동의 기회를 제공하는 생산적인 교사 전문성 신장 방안에 대해 방향을 제안하였다.
