A study on the fuzzy based inference using multivariate human sensibility database (다변량해석기법에 의한 감성 데이터베이스를 활용한 감성공학적 퍼지추론에 관한 연구)

  • This paper presents how to build a human sensibility database by multivariate method. And, we discribe a fuzzy based inference system which converts human sensibility data to design factors using the human sensibility database. We are able to obtain the values of multiple correlation coeffcient, partial correlation coefficient, and categories by the quantification theory which is multivariate analysis. So, the human sensibility database is constructed from those values. The inference system will be more useful, if the human sensibility database and graphic design factor database were integrated.

A Vector Graphic Method for Portrait Drawing (벡터 그래픽스를 이용한 초상화의 작성 방법)

  • One of the non-photorealistic rendering method, a drawing technique which uses only fine curves and dashed line, is widely employed in an knots and post stamps printing. Engraving of the curves and lines are traditionally performed by human engravers which leads to low productivity in printing preparation. As an effort to improve productivity and quality, a drawing automation method which can easily produce a portrait composed of vector data for laser or chemical engraving is proposed. The method shows that it is possible to draw a portrait by controling the width and length of predefined fine lines according to the gray scales a the end points of each fine lines. A gradually controled weighting factor method is proposed in addition to the author previous works to prevent undesirable boundaries in an identical texture region. User interface functions of a commercial CAD system are heavily employed to exploit the presented method.

  • The diffusion of fuzzy logic techniques into real applications requires specific software supports which save development time and reduce the programming effort. But we has been lack of a tool devoted to support the design of fuzzy controllers. In this paper, on the basis of the general fuzzy set and .alpha.-cut set decomposition of fuzzy sets, a set of fuzzy reasoning tool(FRT) devoted to support the design of fuzzy dontroller for servo systems is developed. The major features of this tool are: 1) It supports users to analyze fuzzy ingerence status based on input deta and expected results by three-D graphic display. 2) It supports users to prepare input data and expected result. 3) It supports users to tuned scaling factor of membership functions, rules and fuzzy inference. The paper shows how the suggested design tools are suitable to give a consistent answer to the tuning of fuzzy control system. This FRT is expected to exert good performance and devoted to support which the design of fuzzy controller is illustrated in the servo systems.

  • Analysis technology is widely accepted and quite popular these days. Incorporation of the analysis result into design process is a key factor for the success of the analysis area. A few design software products have been commercialized. Generally, they are trying to make an interface between various design methods and analysis software. Optimization is a representative design method. The products are investigated and compared for the aspects of user convenience and algorithm performance. A few popular products are selected. Graphic user interface (GU) is compared for the function and efficiency. The performances of the optimization algorithms are tested by mathematical and engineering examples. The results are discussed.

  • We develop an efficient numerical method for pricing the Derivative Linked Securities (DLS). The payoff structure of the hybrid DLS consists with a standard 2-Star step-down type ELS and the range accrual product which depends on the number of days in the coupon period that the index stay within the pre-determined range. We assume that the 2-dimensional Geometric Brownian Motion (GBM) as the model of two equities and a no-arbitrage interest model (One-factor Hull and White interest rate model) as a model for the interest rate. In this study, we employ the Monte Carlo simulation method with the Compute Unified Device Architecture (CUDA) parallel computing as the General Purpose computing on Graphic Processing Unit (GPGPU) technology for fast and efficient numerical valuation of DLS. Comparing the Monte Carlo method with single CPU computation or MPI implementation, the result of Monte Carlo simulation with CUDA parallel computing produces higher performance.

  • 본 연구에서는 일반적인 이방성재료에 대한 코스틱방법의 적용을 검토하는 일 환으로서, 직교이방성재료중 특성방정식의 근이 동일함으로 인하여 균열의 응력장이 특이성을 갖게 되고, 따라서 지금까지는 코스틱법의 적용이 어려웠던 재료(의사등방성 재료)에 대하여, 코스틱상 및 초기곡선의 식을 이론적으로 구하였고, 이 식을 예상되 는 여러가지 경계조건 하에서 컴퓨터 그래픽(computer graphic)으로 가시화하여, 시편 제작의 어려움으로 인하여 실험이 곤란한 의사등방성재료의 코스틱상을 예시하였으며, 또 이들 재료에 대한 응력확대계수 산출법을 제시함과 동시에 이 산출법이 등방성 재 료 및 일반적 직교이방성재료에도 사용가능함을 밝혀 다음 제2부에서 실험을 통하여 검증되도록 하였다.

  • 본 논문은 CMOS 센서의 ISP 전처리 과정 후 최종 화면에 출력하기 위한 효과적인 이미지 스케일 블록을 저전력, 저비용에 맞은 독립된 하드웨어 장치로 설계 하고자 한다. 카메라 센서 이미지 결과를 디스플레이 장치(OSD(On Screen Display)에 맞는 화면의 크기는 CIF(352${\times}$288), QCIF(176${\times}$144) 출력 모드를 사용한다. 최근 DMB 휴대용 멀티미디어 데이터 전송 사이즈 포맷에서도 위와 같은 사이즈를 지원하고 있다. 일반적인 스케일 처리에서는 PC 그래픽 카드(Graphic Card)장치의 지원을 받아서 처리하는 경우가 많다. 또는 CPU의 연산을 통한 CPU 자원을 점유하여 이미지 스케일을 처리하였다. 휴대용 CMOS 센서용에 적합한 독립적으로 처리할 수 있는 이미지 스케일 기능을 하드웨어로 설계하여 효과적인 시스템 운용과 고속 이미지 스케일 처리가 가능한 하드웨어를 설계하는게 목적이다. 이를 구현 하기위해 기존 알고리즘과 제안한 알고리즘을 비교하여 최적화된 알고리즘 적용하여 VHDL설계언어를 이용한 하드웨어 설계 후, ModelSim 6.0a를 이용하여 데이터를 검증한다.

  • This paper examined the risks perceived by consumers in apparel buying situation by 1) measuring the contents and perception level of risk, 2) categorizing each risk into meaningful factors (risk types), 3) analyzing the relationships between risk types and consumers' demo-graphic variables. 224 respondents deliberately selected to include each level of S demographic variables were contacted with 37-item question3.ire. Factor analysis showed that 32-item perceived risk could be categorized into 6 risk types: psychological. social, economic, time/convenience loss, fashionability loss, performance risk. Psychological risk were perceived highest in terms of perception level while social and performance risk showed relatively low perception level. 4 of 5 demographic variables including sex, education level, income, occupa-tion showed partial relationship with each risk type after ANOVA and Duncan test. Sex had the greatest influence on risk perception level and each age level (20's, 30's, 40's) showed different risk structure.

  • The purpose of this study was 1) to find out the benefits sought factors of jeans and to segment the consumer market 2) to analyze Purchase behavior, brand loyalty, and demo- graphic characteristics of benefit segments. The subjects were 350 male and female university students who have purchased at least one of the nine jeans brands selected for this study. For statistical analysis, reliability test, percentage, factor analysis, cluster analysis, x2-test, and analysis of variance were used. The results of this study were as follows; 1. Benefits sought by consumer were found to include four different factors-brand value, individuality, fashionability, and practicality. 2. As a result of subdividing the consumers, three distinctive groups were formed on the basis of benefit factors-individuality.fashion oriented group, brand value oriented group, and practicality oriented group. 3. Brand value oriented group rated the highest in all of following variables number of jeans possessed and purchased annually, brand loyalty, average household income, average monthly allowences, and amount of money spent in purchasing clothes in each season. Individuality - fashion oriented group rated the second.
