대형교량의 유지관리를 위한 전산화 모니터링 및 분석평가시스템 (Computer-Aided Monitoring and Assessment System for Maintenance of Grand Bridges)

  • 본 연구에서는 대형교량의 전산화 모니터링 및 분석평가(Monitoring and Assessment: M&A)를 위한 시스템모형과 소프트웨어의 개발에 대한 새로운 접근방법과 개념을 제안하였다. 제안된 시스템모형은 대형교량의 M&A를 위한 최적의 방법을 반영한 모형이다. 이를 위하여 교량의 확률적 분석평가를 위한 신뢰성 모형이 개발되었고, 일련의 현장재하시험으로부터 계측된 실응답에 기초한 교량의 안전성과 신뢰성의 평가를 위해 신뢰성에 기초한 내하력 평가방법을 확립하였다. 또한 제안된 모델에 기초하여 대형교량의 전산화 M&A를 위한 시범소프트웨어(prototype software)를 개발하여 실제 사장교에 적용하였다. 본 연구에서 개발된 시스템모형 및 시범소프트웨어는 향후 사장교나 현수교와 같은 장대교량의 전산화 유지관리 시스템의 개발에 활용될 수 있다.

Investigation of Live Load Deflection Limit for Steel Cable Stayed and Suspension Bridges

  • Long span bridges such as steel cable stayed and suspension bridges are usually more flexible than short to medium span bridges and expected to have large deformations. Deflections due to live load for long span bridges are important since it controls the overall heights of the bridge for securing the clearance under the bridge and serviceability for securing the comfort of passengers or pedestrians. In case of sea-crossing bridges, the clearance of bridges is determined considering the height of the ship master from the surface of the water, the trim of the ship, the psychological free space, the tide height, and live load deflection. In the design of bridges, live load deflection is limited to a certain value to minimize the vibrations. However, there are not much studies that consider the live load deflection and its effects for long span bridges. The purpose of this study is to investigate the suitability of live load deflection limit and its actual effects on serviceability of bridges for steel cable-stayed and suspension bridges. Analytical study is performed to calculate the natural frequencies and deflections by design live load. Results are compared with various design limits and related studies by Barker et al. (2011) and Saadeghvaziri et al. (2012). Two long span bridges are selected for the case study, Yi Sun-Sin grand bridge (suspension bridge, main span length = 1545 m) and Young-Hung grand bridge (cable stayed bridge, main span length = 240 m). Long-term measured deflection data by GNSS system are collected from Yi Sun-Sin grand bridge and compared with the theoretical values. Probability of exceedance against various deflection limits are calculated from probability distribution of 10-min maximum deflection. The results of the study on the limitation of live load deflection are expected to be useful reference for the design, the proper planning and deflection review of the long span bridges around the world.

  • Bridge structure is known as one of important infrafacilities for comfortable human life. Recent long-span bridges, such as Kwang-Ahn Grand bridge, S대-Hae Grand Bridge, Young-Jong Grand Bridge, etc, have been designed and constructed near the seaside without in-depth consideration of concrete durability problems, It is in particular noted that corrosion of reinforcement steel in concrete is very important for the durability enhancement of concrete structures. The objective of this experimental study is to investigate the corrosion degree of reinforcing steels in concrete specimens which are exposed to cyclic wet and dry saltwaters, and then to develop pertinent corrosion protection system such as rational cover depth, corrosion inhibitors, cathodic system for reinforced concrete bridges exposed to marine environment.

  • In recent days, the foundations of huge structures in general and mega foundations of grand bridges in particular are required in geotechnical engineering. However, previous design method based on virtual fixed point theory cannot adequately predict Pile-Bent structure‘s physical behavior. Therefore, this paper describes a new analysis and design of Pile-Bent structure for grand bridges. A detailed analysis was performed for column-pile interactions using FB-Pier program and Midas program. As a result, the behavior of a column-pile is estimated and highlighted. Moreover, based on this study, it is found that the minimum reinforcement ratio(=0.4%) is applicable for plastic behavior of columns.

  • 강사장교의 거더와 주탑은 축력과 모멘트를 동시에 받는 보-기둥 부재이기 때문에 단일 힘을 고려하는 일반도로교의 내하율 산정식은 강사장교의 거더와 주탑에 적용할 수 없다. 현재, 사장교의 거더와 주탑에 적용 가능한 이론적인 내하율 산정방법은 아직 정립되지 않았다. 본 논문에서는 축력과 모멘트를 동시에 받는 부재의 상관공식을 적용하여 강사장교 거더와 주탑의 내하율을 산정하기 위한 식을 제안하였다. 영향선해석을 수행하여 각 부재에 압축력 최대, 정 및 부모멘트 최대의 경우에 활하중 재하 형태를 결정하였고 각 부재의 내하율 산정절차를 정리하였다. 제안된 내하율 산정방법의 타당성을 검증하기 위하여 실교량 모델인 돌산대교에 대한 적용예를 제시하였다. 일반도로교의 내하율 산정식은 돌산대교 거더와 주탑의 내하율을 과대평가 하였으며, 제안된 내하율 산정식은 축력과 모멘트를 동시에 지지하는 사장교 거더와 주탑의 거동을 적절히 반영하였다.

  • Recently long-span bridges, such as Kwang-Ahn Grand bridge, Seo-Hae Grand Bridge, Young-Jong Grand Bridge, etc, have been designed and constructed near the shore. It needs to maintain the durability of marine concrete structures which are exposed to severe chloride environments. It is well known that corrosion of reinforcement steels in concrete structure is the most important cause for the durability of concrete structure which can be controlled by systematic preparatory corrosion protection works for economic and safe infrastructures. Various corrosion protection systems have been used for the corrosion protection of reinforcement steels from detrimental chemical components such as chloride, sulphate and etc. Since chloride can be penetrated into concrete in a variety way, an effective method has to be adopted by taking into full economical aspects and technical data of each protection system. The objective of this experimental study is to investigate the corrosion behavior of reinforcing steel in laboratory concrete specimens which are exposed to cyclic wet and dry saltwater, and then to develop pertinent corrosion protection system, such as corrosion inhibitors and cathodic protection for reinforced concrete bridges exposed to chloride environment. Resistance of various corrosion inhibitors and impressed current system have been experimentally evaluated under severe environmental conditions, and thus effective corrosion protection systems could have been Practically developed for future concrete construction.

  • 교량 부각 조명 및 교각 조명 계획의 과정과 요소를 고찰함으로써 교량 조형물 외부 조명 계획의 주요 문제를 추론하고 그 해결 방안 및 체계적인 접근을 위한 설계의 기초 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 본 연구에서 한강대교의 아아치와 교각부각조명과 잠실대교의 수중보 부각조명을 통하여 각 계획의 제한 조건하에서의 설계목적의 부합성, 유지보수의 용이성, 설계효과의 극대화를 달성하기 위한 설계제한조건의 해결 방법을 모색하였다.

  • Chloride ingress into concrete followed by reinforcement corrosion and deterioration of concrete structures is a major problem for many structures under chloride attacks. Large-scale concrete structures directly exposed to seawater such as SeoHae Grand Bridge are increasingly constructed along the coast in Korea. It is necessary to investigate the environmental conditions of concrete structures exposed to chloride attacks. In this study, the air-borne chloride contents of highway bridges exposed to marine environment in Korea were measured.

It is well known that corrosion of reinforcement steel in concrete is one of the major factors for the durability of concrete structures. The objective of this experimental study is to investigate the performance of impressed current system and corrosion inhibitors for the corrosion protection of reinforced concrete structures. Concrete test specimens were made with various test parameters, such as cover depth, steel diameter, compressive strength, direction and frequency of notch. For the efficient evaluation of these corrosion protection systems, these tests have been carried out in the shore.
