현재 수치지도를 비롯한 모든 공간정보의 속성정보를 취득하기 위한 방법으로는 현장에서 직접적인 조사를 수행하는 지리조사가 일반적이다. 그러나 수치지도 제작을 위한 지리조사는 수치지도에서 표현하는 모든 지형지물에 대한 현장 직접조사를 수행하여야 하기 때문에 지리조사의 범위가 매우 광범위하다. 또한 현재의 지리조사는 지리조사원도(종이지도)를 이용하여 수작업에 의한 조사방법을 이용하기 때문에 조사에 많은 인력, 경비, 시간이 소요되고 있다. 최근 일부 지리조사를 휴대용 및 차량용 MMS(Mobile Mapping System)를 이용하여 전산화 정보를 수집하고 있으나, 직접적으로 수치지도의 제작에 이용하기 위해서는 해결해야 할 문제점들이 있다. 본 연구에서는 현행 지리조사 기준 및 방법의 문제점을 분석하고 국내 외 공간정보 구축 및 서비스 기관의 지리조사 방법을 조사하여 수치지도 제작에 적합한 지리조사 기준 및 방법을 제시함으로써 수치지도 제작 업무의 효율성을 높이고 수치지도의 최신성 및 신뢰도 향상과 지리조사 자료의 활용성을 증대시켜 전국기반 수치지도의 활용성을 극대화 하고자 한다.

Recently as users' requests for geographic information systems are being more various, several new functions are being added to existing geographic information systems. One of them is linkage of spatial geographic data and video / image data to offer more realistic information of geographic objects to users. Geographic information systems implementing this function are called video geographic information system. In this paper, we design and implement a video geographic information system for providing map data, video data and link information of them to web applications. We 1) design system architecture of a video geographic information system, 2) analyze some processes to construct link information of map data and video data, 3) design database schema to store map data, video data, and link information, and 4) design some XML/GML schema used to query and retrieve these data for web applications.

일제강점기인 1910년에 작성된 1:50,000 지도(이하 근세 한국 오만분지일 지형도)는 전국을 망라한 최초의 근대적 방법에 의해 제작된 지도이다. 본 지도는 주로 인문 지리적 관점에서 이용되어 왔으나 최근 지도의 높은 정확성이 인식됨에 따라 다양한 분야에서 유용하게 되었다. 특히 해안분야에 있어서는 해안 구조물 건설에 따른 장기적인 지형변화를 제공할 것으로 기대된다. 본 연구는 독립된 해안 표사계에 대해 구조물의 건설 전후에 진행된 지형변화의 분석방법에 관한 것이다. 장기적인 해안의 지형변화를 분석하기 위한 기점은 1910년도의 지형도로 하였다.

Contamination flashover is responsible for insulator electrical failures. Particularly, in Korea, with its perennially dry spring, the first spring rain often cause serious line outages by forming a conductive liquid film on the insulator surface. Rainwater and fog are not normally conductive but unfortunately atmospheric dust deposited on the insulator surface contains soluble salts which may lead to bad condition of insulation by combining watery and salts. Transmission design engineers have used a contamination map drawn on the traditional paper map. But it is not convenient because it does not include the information of Geographic Information accurately. This paper explains the newly developed salt contamination map program using Geographic Information System, which provide accurate geographic information. The program is designed to use four parts of datum, salt contamination levels, 345kV & 154 kV transmission lines, power plants & substations and background map. The digital background map is composed of raster files, the others are done by vector map.

This study examined the effects of a geographic experiential activity program on the ability to represent and to read maps(directions, perspectives, and symbols). The subjects were 44 5-year-old kindergarten children assigned to an experimental or a control group, with 22 children in each group. The geographic experiential activity program was developed and applied to the experimental group for 4 weeks. Results indicated that the experimental group was higher in reading and representing maps than the control group. Through the geographic experiential activity program, children came to be concerned about their living space, to be able to read and comprehend a simple map, and to represent a basic map with the use of directions, perspectives, and symbols.

In conventional geographic mapping system, it is needed to input many already existing geographic map into computer system for secure and efficient maintence. Because of large map data, it is required to construct layers from map image for easy display, fast retreval and efficient storage. Thus this paper represents a method of the extracting features from contour map and constructing three layers. The layers are symbol, building, contour line. Experimental results are presented confirming the method's high extraction.

The digital map version 2.0 is national base map which is used for frame work data, paper map making as well as geographic information system. National Geographic Institude has been research to make small scale digital map by using large scale digital map. NGI made from 25 1/5,000 digital maps to one 1/25,000 digital map ver 2.0 with map generalization system in 2003. However, they could not make 1/10,000 and l/50,000 digital map version 2.0 because of There is no portrayal on the scale 1/10,000 and 1/50,000 digital map in the existing regulations. therefore. We create the specification of the digital map on scale in order to make small scale digital map version 2.0 such as 1/10,000 and 1/50,000 scale.

본 연구의 목적은 온라인과 오프라인 공간에 다양하게 존재하는 지리 관련 학습 자료를 지도를 기반으로 매쉬업한 지리교육사이트를 구현해 봄으로써 지도를 기반으로 한 지리교육의 가능성을 탐색해보고자 하였다. 최근 지오웹환경의 급격한 변화는 지리교육에 있어서도 지도에 기반한 다양한 변화가능성을 제안하고 있지만, 지리교육분야에서 그와 관련된 연구는 매우 제한적이었다. 그러나 본 연구에서는 첫째, 교과서 분석을 통하여 콘텐츠를 설계하고, 그 개념을 설명하기 위한 사진, 영상, 개념도 등 다양한 관련자료를 수집하였으며, 둘째, 수집된 자료를 구글의 오픈 API를 활용하여 지도기반으로 매쉬업하였으며, 셋째, 교과서 분석에 따른 내용분류와 수집된 자료를 바탕으로 지리교육사이트를 구축하였다. 본 연구는 공간을 다루는 지리교육에서 텍스트위주가 아닌 지도기반으로 교육을 할 수 있는 가능성을 탐색하고, 지오웹환경에서 교과서의 다양한 개념을 가장 잘 표현할 수 있는 방안을 모색하였다는데 의의가 있다.

As an emerging technology in Computer graphics areas, SVG(Scalable Vector Graphic) makes it possible to make use of Vector graphics for servicing maps in basic internet browsing environment. SVG based thematic map Internet GIS system implemented by this research is free of special server side GIS mapping system and client side extra technology. It provides high-quality vector map which can interact with the user, template map which can be used for other purpose, glance the future map based on Webservices technologies. Many good characteristics of SVG in mapping at computer screen and reusability of SVG document provide new era of visualzation of geographic information.

To extract hydrologic information more easily , the pre-processor for hydrologic model using Geographic Information System was developed .
