A Study on Developing the Business Index of Electrical Construction Business (전기공사업 경기지수 개발에 관한 연구 - 전기공사업 경기종합지수(ECI) 및 기업경기실사지수(EBSI)를 중심으로 -)

  • Electrical Construction industry uses Construction industry's statistical data for business outlook. Because there are not electrical construction business view's statistical data. It has own unique characteristic which is different from construction industry. So it must have a electrical construction Business Index. This study was focused on developing the business index of electrical construction business. Electrical construction business index consists of electrical construction composite Index(ECI) and the electrical construction business survey index(EBSI). This study experimentally analyzes the business views of electrical construction industry in 2/4 quarter of 2014. The leading Index of ECI indicates -0.4% compared with 1/4 quarter of 2014, coincidence index also shows that electrical construction industry's business cycle is in an economic downturn. EBSI is 83.5 in 2/4 quarter of 2014, down from 95.2 in 1/4 quarter of 2014. It means that electrical construction company has a pessimistic prediction. As a result we know that the Business Index of Electrical Construction Business shows similar results. It is expected to make contribution for electrical contractors to establish management strategies and prepare responses to economic changes by providing information about economic trends of electrical construction business and forecasting future economy.

A systematic review of studies using time series analysis of health and welfare in Korea (체계적 문헌고찰을 통한 국내 보건복지 분야의 시계열 분석 연구 동향)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the trends and risk of bias of research using time series analysis on health and welfare in Korea and to suggest a direction for future health and welfare research. The database searches identified 6,543 papers. Following the process for screening and selecting, a total of 91 papers were included in the systematic review. There has been a steady increase in the number of articles using time series analysis from 1987 to 2013. Time series analysis was applied in medicine and health science journals. The main goals were explanation and description. Most of the subjects were heath status and utilization of healthcare services. The main model used in the time series analysis was ARIMA followed by time series regression. The data were gathered from various sources, including the national statistical office and government agencies. For assessing risk of bias, some studies were found to have inadequate sample sizes or showed no time series graphs and plots. These findings suggest greater widespread utilization of time series analysis in the field of health and welfare and to use the appropriate analysis methods and statistical procedures to obtain more reliable results to improve the quality of research.

DACUM Job Analysis of Die and mold makers for Apprenticeship education of Specialized high school (특성화고 산학일체형 도제교육을 위한 금형제작원의 DACUM 직무분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze job of die and mold makers for apprenticeship education of specialized high school using DACUM method. The contents of this study were to identify the duties, specific tasks performed and the level of importance, difficulty, frequency and entry level on each task. This study also make out a DACUM chart of die and mold makers for apprenticeship education of specialized high school. The DACUM committee, which consisted of one facilitator, nine die and mold experts, one recorder and one coordinator, was established to conduct DACUM. The conclusions are as follows; First, this study defines a die and mold makers as 'a person who make it possible to manufacture/assemble/inspect die and mold parts using various machine tool'. Second, duties in job of die and mold makers for apprenticeship education were total 12 and total tasks in job of die and mold makers for apprenticeship education were 86. Third, this study determine the level of importance, difficulty, frequency and entry level about each task. Finally, this study make out a DACUM chart of die and mold makers for apprenticeship education of specialized high school based on the results of DACUM job analysis. And knowledge, skills, tools, and positive behaviors, future trends/concerns about die and mold makers for apprenticeship education of specialized high school were presented.

A Study on the Type of Litigation through Analysis of Landscape Precedent (조경 판례분석을 통한 소송의 유형화 연구)

  • This study selected landscaping-related precedents among Supreme Court decisions to which the Basic Construction Industry Act and Civil Litigation Act were applied, and divided them by year, by sector type, and by litigation type according to the cause of the litigation, and examined time-series trends and the main characteristics of landscaping-related litigation. As a result of the analysis by year, it became apparent that litigation cases began to appear in earnest in 1977, similar to when landscape licenses were first issued. The types according to the cause of the litigation were analyzed by dividing them into 'planning', 'construction', and 'management'. Among them, 'planning' was the most frequently identified (409 cases). Various precedents were searched according to 'construction', and some of them were found to be due to unclear legal standards related to landscaping. In 'management', cases such as safety accidents and crimes were considered. The users, legal definitions, and purposes of the space served as the basis for judgments. As a result of analysis by case type, there were many administrative landscaping-related cases, and the proportion of criminal cases in the management type was the highest. The results of this study looked at precedents across the entire landscape industry, and it was significant that it provides basic data that could be used by the general public as that they were categorized by field. In the future, amendments to the law and various studies should be conducted to reduce and resolve disputes, and it is necessary to expand the publicity of precedents for this purpose.

Digital Library Research : Major Issues and Trends (디지털도서관 연구 동향(1))

  • Digital library research has attracted much attention. While many research projects are funded by government agencies and national and international bodies, some are run by specific academic and research institutions and libraries. While some digital library projects, such as the ELINOR project in the UK, the first two phases of the eLib(Electronic Libraries) programme in the UK, and the first phase of the DLI(Digital Library Initiative) in the USA, are now over, a number of other projects are currently under-way in different parts of the world. Beginning with the definitions and characteristics of digital libraries proposed by various researchers, this paper provides brief accounts of some major digital library projects that are currently in progress, or are just completed, in different parts of the world. There follows a review of digital library research under 16 major headings. Literature for this review has been identified through a search on the LISA CD-ROM database and a Dialog search on library and information science databases, and the resulting output has been supplemented by a scan of the various Issues of D-Lib Magazine and Ariadne, and the Web sites of various organizations and institutions engaged in digital library research. The review indicates that we have learned a lot through digital library research within a short span of time. However, a number of issues are yet to be resolved. The paper ends with an indication of the research issues that need to be addressed and resolved in the near future in order to bring the digital library from the researcher's laboratory to the real life environment.

An Overview on China's Recent Air Pollution Regulation and Management Policy (중국의 최근 대기오염 규제 및 관리 정책에 대한 고찰)

  • Rapid economic growth, urbanization, and industrialization of China have tremendously degraded the overall quality of living environments, especially the air quality, not only negatively affecting Chinese people but also impacting citizens of neighboring countries, namely Korea. The Chinese government has invested much effort to regulate the air pollution due to burning coal through introducing strict environmental monitoring policies and aggressive implementation. This paper presents an overview of Chinese air pollution prevention policy due to burning coal, and the associated trends and specifics of institutional arrangements regarding air pollutant emission regulations. It turns out that the policies have become stricter than before; some polices are geared towards enforcing extra regulation at the regional level. It is expected that the regulation will become stricter in the future. However, the actual contribution and feasibility of such policies must be analyzed based on sound science. The policies seem to care little about influencing the air quality of Korea, and this has to be improved. In order to do so, it is important to strengthen environmental cooperation between Korea and China, and better yet to research on not only the air quality but also the associated fields, such as energy, industrial technology, and global environmental governance.

  • The application of tool which has grown rapidly by the age was used for the product development, however as today the computer digitalization has been fixed to the necessary process in every factory-made mass production, making the sensitive desire of designer the digitalization through systematic, rational information database building from the planning level of product to the final mass production in such a environment change. It should satisfy a variety of needs of consumer. The enterprise that hopes to get a winner in the present age brought in computer with useful tool to process information efficiently. The computer has displayed much more excellent computation ability than human to come up to their expectation and the growth of electronic technology was possible to make the computer's high-efficiency, economy and integration. No matter what we have a good economy and integration. No matter what we have a good information there is no meaning unless we are able to use it' so we should take it out by the our need. Therefore, this paper observes a future-oriented possibility of computer & Telecommunication in information society, information-oriented design environment and the trends of minimal and integrated computer. We will improve the designer's ability to develop a novel product that have the diversification of them using application, aiming at computer utilization and image identification design strategy of product in the age of network telecommunication.

A Study and Evaluation of Japanese Design Group "Keiji Kobo" -especially on the designs of Toyokuchi Katshei- (일본 디자인그룹 "형이공방(型而工房)"의 활동과 업적에 관한 평가-토요쿠치 카츠헤이의 디자인 활동을 중심으로-)

  • Keiji Kobo is a unique self-generated design research group in Japan, which was founded in 1928 when Bauhaus movement was in its peak, and which lasted ten years until the end of the Second World War, when any activity of the group became virtually impossible due to the war. With insight to see the future, the group aimed at Modern Design advocating a new spirit in architecture, and played a significant role in prosperity of Japanese Modern Design assimilating Western design trends. Pursuing of craft works for everyday life--practical furniture works--Keiji Kobo actively executed various projects to realize modern philosophy. The range of the works of this group was very large: survey, mock-up, experiment, research, exhibition, lecture, order-based sale, advertising and writing. The works of the group were oriented to serious academicism, not compromising with commercialism. Considering the peculiar political situation such as Japanese Militarism, the spirit of functionalism that the group pursued was surprisingly academical and pure. This group was relatively small and clumsy, which lasted as short as around ten years. However, strong motivation was in their seemingly quiet movements, and the influence of the group cannot be underestimated even with today's criteria. There were a number of pioneers who contributed to today's prosperity of Japan and Keiji Kobo can be estimated to be one of the pioneers in the field of design. It was found that the contemporary intellectuals hoped that the committment and activity of the group would contribute to modernization of the life quality of ordinary people. In a sense, Keiji Kobo can be estimated to be a little Japanese equivalent for Bauhaus that could not fully bloom.

Study on the Risk of Flammability & Combustion of Liquid Mixtures such as Alcohols (알코올류 등의 액체 혼합물에 대한 인화 및 연소 위험성에 관한 연구)

  • Purpose: Currently, many chemicals are used in industrial and real life, and many substances are used in the form of a single substance, but most of them are used in the form of a mixture, and there is a need for a criterion for judging the danger of these substances. Method: Therefore, this study aims to confirm the risk criteria of the mixture through experimental studies on flammable mixtures in order to secure the effectiveness of the details of the existing Dangerous Goods Safety Management Act angerous Goods Judgment Criteria and to ensure the reliability and reproducibility of the dangerous goods judgment. Result: Experimental results show that alcohol flash point is mixed with water, which is a non-flammable liquid. Similar flash point trends occurred around 60% on an alcohol basis. In addition, in the case of flammable-combustible mixtures, there was little change in flash point if the flash point difference of the two materials was not large, and if the flash point difference of the two materials was low, the flash point tended to increase with the increase of the high flash point material. Conclusion: In the future, the test results may provide reference data on the experimental criteria for the flammable liquids that are cracked at the fire site.

Implementation of a Photo-Input Game Interface Using Image Search (이미지 검색을 이용한 사진입력 게임 인터페이스 구현)

  • The paradigm of game development changes with technological trends. If the system can analyze and determine undefined inputs, users' input choices are not restricted. Therefore, game scenarios can have multifarious flows depending upon the user's input data. In this paper, we propose a method of including an output plan in the game system that is based on the user's input but is not restricted to predefined choices. We have implemented an experimental game on the Android platform by combining network communication and APIs. The game interface works as follows: first, the user's input data is transmitted to the server using HTTP protocol; then, the server carries out an analysis on the input data; and finally, the server returns the decision result to the game device. The game can provide users a scenario that corresponds to the decision results. In this paper, we used an image file for the user's input data format. The server calculates similarities between the user's image file and reference images obtained from the Naver Image Search API and then returns determination results. We have confirmed the value of integrating the game development framework with other computing technologies demonstrating the potential of the proposed methods for application to various future game interfaces.
