청소년 실업자를 위한 고용지원제도 비교 연구 : 영국과 한국을 중심으로 (A Comparative Study of Employment Support System for Unemployed Youth : Linking the British Experience to the Korean Context)

  • The present study is designed to trace the successful reform steps taken within the employment support system in the UK and to extract a set of instructive implications for Korea's future reform path towards an efficient employment support system conductive to youth employment by setting out an analytical framework that links the British experience to the Korean context. To this end, this study focuses on three major aspects of employment support system: delivery mechanism, method of delivery, and programs. Implications drawn from the comparative analysis are as follows. First, the current employment support services in Korea-including job placement service, vocational training, and public works-should be more tightly integrated and delivered in a more consistent fashion in order to become highly accessible to the unemployed. Second, the cooperative network between employment service providers and the corporate sector as demander of labor should be institutionalized in order to make the employment support system more responsive to labor demand. Third, to create an enhanced employment support system that counts in individual differences of the unemployed would require continued, in-depth consultation and case management services along with fully specialized employment caseworkers who would provide them. Fourth, the government should take the initiative and be unflaggingly supportive both institutionally and financially in making future efforts to continuously improve the employment support system on the basis of the implications mentioned above.

A study on ways to make employment improve through Big Data analysis of university information public

  • The necessity of this study is as follows. A decrease in the number of newborns, an increase in the youth unemployment rate, and a decrease in the employment rate are having a fatal impact on universities. To help increase the employment rate of universities, we intend to utilize Big Data of university public information. Big data refers to the process of collecting and analyzing data, and includes all business processes of finding data, reprocessing information in an easy-to-understand manner, and selling information to people and institutions. Big data technology can be divided into technologies for storing, refining, analyzing, and predicting big data. The purpose of this study is to find the vision and special department of a university with a high employment rate by using big data technology. As a result of the study, big data was collected from 227 universities on www.academyinfo.go.kr site, We selected 130 meaningful universities and selected 25 universities with high employment rates and 25 universities with low employment rates. In conclusion, the university with a high employment rate can first be said to have a student-centered vision and university specialization. The reason is that, for universities with a high employment rate, the vision was to foster talents and specialize, whereas for universities with a low employment rate, regional bases took precedence. Second, universities with a high employment rate have a high interest in specialized departments. This is because, as a result of checking the presence or absence of a characterization plan, universities with a high employment rate were twice as high (21/7). Third, universities with high employment rates promote social needs and characterization. This is because the characteristic departments of universities with high employment rates are in the order of future technology and nursing and health, while universities with low employment rates promoted school-centered specialization in future technology and culture, tourism and art. In summary, universities with high employment rates showed high interest in student-centered vision and development of special departments for social needs.

일부 치위생과 학생의 아르바이트 경험이 대학생활적응에 미치는 영향 (Effect of part-time employment experience on adaptation to university life in dental hygiene students)

  • Objectives: The purpose of the study is to find out the effect of part-time employment experience on adaptation to university life in dental hygiene students. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 288 dental hygiene students in Seoul and Gyeonggido from September to October, 2014. The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics of the subjects(5 items), part-time employment experience(6 items), and adaptation to university life(53 items). The instrument for adaptation to university life was adapted from Baker and Sirky and modified by Kwon. Likert 5 point scale adaptation included personal emotion adaptation, academic adaptation, social adaptation, and university environment adaptation. Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ was 0.80 in the study. Results: The adaptation to university life was 3.0 points. The higher the economic level was, the higher the personal emotional adaptation(p<0.001) and academic adaptation were(p<0.05). The adaptation to university life was positively influenced by tuition support by parents and part-time employment(p<0.05). The part-time employment was significantly helpful to future job selection, social adaptation, and university environment adaptation(p<0.001). Economic stability and advantage of future job selection had a positive influence on the adaptation to university life. So the adaptation to university life was proportional to younger age, economic stability, and advantage to future job selection. Conclusions: It is very important to give a positive motivation and stimulation, and a careful counseling to the students in part-time employment. In order to encourage the part-time employed students, major-related part-time job opening must be given.

Comparing the efficiency of college and university employment using DEA analysis program

  • This study analyzed the employment efficiency of Korean colleges and universities using DEA(2015 GOMS), which was surveyed by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Korea Employment Information Service. The input variables were employment program participants, language educators, family economic applicants, and employment targets. As a result, the college was more efficient than the college and the college was relatively ineffective. The contribution of input and output contributed the highest efficiency with 99.9% of the participants in the employment program, and the possibility of improving the efficiency of the language educator was the highest at 70.04. Based on the results of the above research, it suggests the necessity of activation of employment programs and activation of language training in each university. Future studies will need to study the efficiency of universities nationwide.

대학생의 셀프리더십이 취업전략에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of University Student's Self-Leadership on the Employment Strategies)

  • Many students who attend university are worried about their future employment and academic achievement. Self-leadership is the ability to deal wisely with employment matters and to recognize the employment strategies of students who display self-leadership qualities. For this purpose, 320 questionnaires were distributed to students attending universities in Seoul. The 304 collected questionnaires were used as data for the final analysis. First, the university students' average self-leadership rate was 3.73, and their average employment rate was 3.24. In terms of self-leadership by subordinate domains, the most common strategy was to introduce "natural compensation activities", and the least common strategy was to focus on "inner compensation". For the employment strategy, "academic credit" was the best managed, and "active behavior" was the least well managed. Second, in terms of the differences in self-leadership due to social demographic variables, the self-leadership levels showed significant differences, according to their credits in general. Furthermore, they showed significant differences depending on gender and the leadership experience among the subordinate variables. Moreover, the university students' employment strategies showed significant differences according to gender, leadership experience and leadership education. Third, in terms of the difference between self-leadership and employment strategies due to psychological variables, self-efficacy and university-life satisfaction levels made significant differences in terms of self-leadership. Fourth, the group with high self-leadership levels also had highly developed employment strategies, compared to the group with low self-leadership levels. Fifth, after analyzing the social demographic variables, the psychological variables and the influence of self-leadership, it appears that the explanation level increased at each step. This study demonstrates that experiencing many opportunities that promote self-leadership during university causes students to worry about their future careers and prohibits them from developing into independent, responsible adults who can accomplish their goals.

취업신념 측정척도 개발과 타당화 연구 (The Development and Validity of a Scale to Evaluate Maternal Beliefs Regarding Employment)

  • This study was conducted to develop a scale to evaluate maternal beliefs regarding employment and to demonstrate its validity. The subjects in the study included 225 mothers in Suncheon who had children under the age of 5. Initially, the definitions of beliefs associated with employment presented in previous studies were examined, after which the existing scale, Beliefs about the Consequence Maternal Employment for Young Children (BACMEC), was modified based the advice of three experts in child study. Next, 35 mothers who had preschool children were interviewed to assess their views on the positive and negative aspects of maternal employment. After excluding overlapping contents, a scale composed of 50 questions (24questions adapted from questions on the BACMEC and 26 created based on the results of the interview) was generated. Based on the result of factor and regression analysis, 27 (15questions regarding positive aspects of employment and 12 regarding negative aspects of employment) of the 50 questions were selected for use as the new scale. Reliability analysis showed satisfactory results (Cronbach's $\alpha$ = .89-.92). In conclusion, it is hoped that the scale for maternal beliefs in employment developed in this study will be used as a useful measurement tool in future studies conducted to evaluate maternal employment.

보건계열 대학생의 취업의식에 관한 실태조사 (A Survey of the Actual Condition for Consciousness of Employment in College Students of Health Science)

  • 지식기반사회로의 변화와 더불어 무한경쟁 시대에 살아가면서 사회로 진출하는 대학생들의 취업전쟁은 자신의 미래에 대한 불안으로 작용하면서 대학생의 취업은 가장 큰 사회 문제의 하나로 대두되고 있다. 보건계열학과 3학년 학생들 대상으로 취업률 향상 방안으로는 학과교수는 취업관련 정보제공자로서 취업면담을 강화하고, 대학은 다양한 지역의 취업지도를 위한 출장 장려 등의 구체적인 대학 측 지원 계획과 시행이 요구된다. 또한 질적 향상을 위한 노력으로 대학 측은 취업중심 교육과정 개발과 학생의 기본적인 취업 준비를 위한 지원, 지도교수는 취업관련 정보제공 및 취업 전문 안내자가 되어야 할 것으로 사료된다.

한국 치과기공사의 양성 및 취업실태 연구(II) (Survey of the Training and Employment Status of Dental Technicians in Korea(II))

  • In order to ascertain the aspects of the dental technicians training system which require improvement, and also to provide important data for use in setting up dental technicians manpower planning, our country's dental technicians training and employment status has been studied and analyzed. The objects of the survey are 2,315 dental technicians, the total number of persons licensed by The Ministry of Health and Social Affairs from 1965 to 1986. The results were as follows: 1. Education organs for dental technicians are education system such as health junior college and service training systems and 1,706 technicians have come from health junior college in our country. 2. Total number of employment of dental technicians employed in our country are, 1,541 and 406 of them are engaged in Seoul. So unbalanced employment of dental technicians will be troubled in a future. 3. All registrated to government are 4,847 till 1986, and 1,541 of them engaged are that is, we can suppose about employment of dental technicians in a future, 12,231 dental technicians will registrate to Health and Social Administration on 1996 and 3,530 of them will be able to take their job in Korea.

한국 치과기공사의 양성(養成) 및 취업실태에 관한 조사연구 (Survey of the Training and Employment Status of Dental Technicians in Korea)

About 965 dental technicians have come from the service training systems and 931 technicians have come from health junior college in our country. 2. Total number of employment of dental technicians employed in our country are 820, and 292 of them are engaged in Seoul, So unbalanced employment of dental technicians will be troubled in a future. 3. All registrated to government are 1,896 till 1982 and 820 of them engaged are that is, we can suppose about employment of dental technicians in a future, 3,746 dental technicians will registrate to Health and Social Administration an 1992, and 1,482 of them will be able to take their job in Korea.

대학교 졸업반 학생의 취업 스트레스와 영향요인 (A Study on the Employment Stress in Senior-year University Students)

  • Purpose: We wanted to examine the degree of employment stress that university seniors suffer and to find the factors affecting on this employment stress. Methods: The subjects were 250 university seniors in Seoul and Gyeonggido, and the data were gathered by using questionnaires that were administered from September to October in 2004. The data were analyzed with the SAS program by t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient and stepwise multiple regression. Results: The mean score of the respondents' total employment stress was 96.5 point out of 200. Their sub-factors of employment stress was 2.0 out of 4.0 for 'academic', 1.9 for 'personality', 2.1 for 'school environments' and 1.9 for 'home environments'. The degree of the seniors' employment stress from such things as their majors, their available jobs in the future, leaves of absence from school, the employment status, and the number of semesters within the leave was found to have significant differences. The major factors affecting on the employment stress were those related to personality stress and majors of the students, and these were 92.7% of the total stress. Conclusion: This study suggests the necessity of intervention or counseling with consideration being given to seniors' employment stress and the other symptoms like depression for improving the health of university seniors.
