  • This paper presents the efforts of the studies for improvement of spin characteristics of KTX-1 #02 through rotary balance test, forced oscillation test and spin mode analysis. During the full scale development design stage, we had fullfilled a lot of spin flight test, spin mode analysis. Based on all of the efforts, KTX-1 had been developed as a successful trainer with excellent spin characteristics.

  • In this paper, a new scheme of iterative loaming control of a robot manipulator is presented. The proposed method uses a fuzzy sliding mode controller(FSMC), which is designed based on the similarity between the fuzzy logic control(FLC) and the sliding mode control(SMC), for the feedback. With this, the proposed method makes possible fDr fast iteration and has advantages that no linear approximation is used for the derivation of the learning law or in the stability proof Full proof of the convergence of the fuzzy sliding base learning scheme Is given.

X-밴드용 완전 편파 Scatterometer 설계 (Design of a Full Polarimetric Scatterometer for X-Band)

  • 본 논문에서는 X-밴드용 완전 편파 scatterometer 시스템(HPS: Hongik Polarimetric Scatterometer) 설계와 제작된 측정 시스템 성능 검증을 위해 이론적으로 잘 알려진 점 목표물(point-target)의 주파수 응답 특성을 측정하는 연구 결과를 선보인다. X-밴드용 완전 편파 scatterometer 시스템은 크게 OMT(Orthogonal Mode Transducer)+horn 안테나, 이들의 입사각을 조절하는 입사각 제어 부분, 네트워크 분석기와 X-밴드용 주파수 변환 회로로 구성되는 송수신기, 이 장비들을 위한 지지용 이동식 붐대로 구성된다. 측정용 안테나의 수직과 수평 입사각 조절을 위해 각도 센서를 이용하며, 모든 입사각에서 완전 편파의 데이터를 획득할 수 있도록 편파 선택용 스위치 회로를 사용한다. 또한, 설계된 측정 시스템의 성능 검증을 위하여 OMT+horn 안테나를 이용한 수동 반사기(corner reflector)의 주파수 응답 특성 즉, 완전 편파 RCS(Radar Cross Section)를 측정한다.

슬롯결합구조를 갖는 직렬급전 마이크로스트립 배열 안테나에 관한 연구 (A study on the series-fed microstrip array anteena with coupling-slots)

  • 본 논문에서는 슬롯결합 급전구조를 갖는 직렬급전 마이크로스트립 배열 안테나의 정확한 해석 및 설계방식을 제시하고 그 특성을 분석하였다. 슬롯결합 급전구조의 정확한 해석은 급전선에서의 진행파 모드와 비진행파를 모드를 모두 고려하는 full-wave방법과 안테나간의 회로적인 결합을 이용하여 해석하였다. 수치해석에 사용된 기저함수는 해의 수렴도, 정확도 및 계산시간을 비교하여 패치는 3개의 EB모드, 슬롯은 1개의 PWS모드, 급전선은 5개의 PWS모드를 사용하였다. 이러한 안테나 해석을 바탕으로 직렬급전 배열 안테나가 정재파형 구조로 설계되었다. 정재파형 구조에서 각 소자의 여기량을 조절하는 설계방식으로는 슬롯의 길이를 변화시키는 방식과 슬롯과 급전선과의 이격거리를 변화시키는 방식을 사용하였다. 본 논문에서 사용한 이론을 이용하여 8소자 Cheyshev배열 안테나를 설계하여 실험한 결과 슬롯과 급전선간의 이격거리를 조절하여 설계하는 방식이 각 소자간의 공진 주파수의 변화가 없으므로 슬롯의 길이를 가변시키는 방식보다 설계가 간편함을 알 수 있었고, 측정 결과도 우수하게 나타났다.

Method for Feature Extraction of Radar Full Pulses Based on EMD and Chaos Detection

  • A novel method for extracting frequency slippage signal from radar full pulse sequence is presented. For the radar full pulse sequence received by radar interception receiver, radio frequency (RF) and time of arrival (TOA) of all pulses constitute a two-dimensional information sequence. In a complex and intensive electromagnetic environment, the TOA of pulses is distributed unevenly, randomly, and in a nonstationary manner, preventing existing methods from directly analyzing such time series and effectively extracting certain signal features. This work applies Gaussian noise insertion and structure function to the TOA-RF information sequence respectively such that the equalization of time intervals and correlation processing are accomplished. The components with different frequencies in structure function series are separated using empirical mode decomposition. Additionally, a chaos detection model based on the Duffing equation is introduced to determine the useful component and extract the changing features of RF. Experimental results indicate that the proposed methodology can successfully extract the slippage signal effectively in the case that multiple radar pulse sequences overlap.

  • This paper deals with the minimization of switching loss of a dual full-bridge bidirectional DC-DC converter for supercapacitor. In case of charging mode the switching loss can be minimized with proper switching pattern, and the switching loss in discharging mode can be minimized with soft switching. Simulation results show that the switching loss is reduced considerably.

  • Recently, an active-clamp, full-bridge boost converter has been actively studied for high-power applications such as power factor correction and battery discharger. However, DC and AC modeling for this converter has not conquered. In this paper, a DC and small-signal AC modeling for the active-clamp, full-bridge boost converter is described. Based on the operation principle, the ac part of the converter can be replaced by a do counterpart. Then, a conceptual equivalent circuit is derived by rearranging the switches. The equivalent circuit for this converter consists of CCM (Continuous conduction mode) boost and DCM (Discontinuous conduction mode) buck converter. The analyses for the equivalent CCM boost and DCM buck converter are done using the model of PWM switch. The theoretical modeling results are confirmed through experiment or SIMPLIS simulation.

  • This paper presents the development of a full order sliding mode controller for tracking problem of a class of uncertain dynamical system, in particular, the direct drive robot manipulators. By treating the arm as an uncertain system represented by its nominal and bounded parametric uncertainties, a new robust fullorder sliding mode tracking controller is derived such that the actual trajectory tracks the desired trajectory as closely as possible despite the non-linearities and input couplings present in the system. A proportional-integral sliding surface is chosen to ensure the stability of overall dynamics during the entire period i.e. the reaching phase and the sliding phase. Application to a three DOF direct drive robot manipulator is considered.

  • This paper presents a novel circuit topology of a high efficiency single-phase power conditioner. This power conditioner is composed of time-sharing sinewave absolute pulse width modulated boost chopper with a bypass diode in the first power processing stage and time-sharing sinewave pulse width modulated full-bridge inverter in the second power processing stage operated by time-sharing dual mode pulse pattern control scheme. The unique operating principle of the two power processing stage with time-sharing dual mode sinewave modulation scheme is described with a design example. This paper proposes also a sinewave tracking voltage controlled soft switching PWM boost chopper with a passive auxiliary edge-resonant snubber. The new conceptual operating principle of this novel power conditioner related to new energy utilization system is presented and discussed through the experimental results.

RVEGA SMC를 이용한 Ball-Beam 시스템의 안정화 (Stabilization of Ball-Beam System using RVEGA SMC)

  • The stabilization control of ball-beam system is difficult because of its nonlinearity and structural unstability. Futhermore, a series of classical methods such as the PID and the full state feedback controller(FSFC) based on the local linearizations have narrow stabilizable regions. At the same time, the fine tunings of their gain parameters are also troublesome. Therefore, in this paper, three improved design techniques of stabilization controller for a ball-beam system were proposed. These parameter tuning methods in the double PID controller(DPIDC), the FSFC and the a sliding mode controller(SMC) were dependent upon the Real Value Elitist Genetic Algorithm (RVEGA). Finally, by applying the DPIDC, the FSFC and the Real Variable Elitist Genetic Algorithm based Sliding Mode Control(RVEGA SMC) to the stabilizations of a ball-beam system, the performances of the RVEGA SMC technique were showed to be superior to those of two other type controllers.
