In this study ship collision risk analysis is performed to determine the design vessel for collision impact analysis of the maritime bridge. Method II which is a probability based analysis procedure is used to select the design vessel for collision impact from the risk analysis results. The analysis procedure, an iterative process in which a computed annual frequency of collapse(AF) is compared to the acceptance criterion, includes allocation method of acceptance criterion of annual frequency of bridge component collapse. The AF allocation by weights seems to be more reasonable than the pylon concentration allocation method because this AF allocation takes the design parameter characteristics quantitatively into consideration although the pylon concentration allocation method brings more economical results when the overestimated design collision strength of piers compared to the strength of pylon is moderately modified. From the assessment of ship collision risk for each bridge pier exposed to ship collision, a representative design vessel for all bridge components is selected. The design vessel size varies much from each other in the same bridge structure depending upon the vessel traffic characteristics.
This research studies and analyzes the current trends and the frequency allocation bands for digital cordless phone(DCP) in other country. From these results, we propose 1.7GHz & 2.4GHz as a effective candidate frequency band for domestic DCP. A proposed 1.7GHz is expected to introduce DECT system of Europe. Therefore it is necessary to make an analysis of interference between 1.7GHz band and an adjacent IMT-2000 band. In this paper, we proposed the allocation of channel for 1.7GHz on the basis of the analysis of frequency interference between 1.7GHz band and an adjacent IMT-2000 band.
This paper deals with optimal power allocation for channel estimation of orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing uplinks in time-varying channels. In the existing literature, the estimation of time-varying channel response in an uplink environment can be accomplished by estimating the corresponding channel parameters. Accordingly, the optimal power allocation studied in the literature has been in terms of minimizing the mean square error of the channel estimation. However, the final goal for channel estimation is to enable the application of coherent detection, which usually means high spectral efficiency. Therefore, it is more meaningful to optimize the power allocation in terms of capacity. In this paper, we investigate capacity with imperfect channel estimation. By exploiting the derived capacity expression, an optimal power allocation strategy is developed. With this developed power allocation strategy, improved performance can be observed, as demonstrated by the numerical results.
In this paper, a framework for power allocation of downlink transmissions in orthogonal frequency division multiple access-based decode-and-forward cellular relay networks is investigated. We consider a system with a single base station communicating with multiple users assisted by multiple relays. The relays have limited power which must be divided among the users they support in order to maximize the data rate of the whole network. Advanced power allocation schemes are crucial for such networks. The optimal relay power allocation which maximizes the data rate is proposed as an upper bound, by finding the optimal power requirement for each user based on knapsack problem formulation. Then by considering the fairness, a new relay power allocation scheme, called weighted-based scheme, is proposed. Finally, an efficient power reallocation scheme is proposed to efficiently utilize the power and improve the data rate of the network. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed power allocation schemes can significantly improve the data rate of the network compared to the traditional scheme.

Start after striking space key 2 times. Lately, a lot of researches have been done on the resource allocation for multiuser OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) systems due to its spectral efficiency for high-rate multimedia data services. For multimedia services in which every user is guaranteed to have minimum required bit rate and bit error probability, it is critical to utilize the limited resources efficiently to improve the performance of the system. The introduced allocation method improves spectral efficiency to use the left subcarriers in Zhang's algorithm. By using this method, the system can provide services to more users constantly, except for a bit increasing complexity and memory for deciding the left subcarriers and reallocating the subcarriers.
Tailored for wireless local area networks, the present paper proposes a cross-layer resource allocation scheme for multiple-input multiple-output orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing systems. Our cross-layer resource allocation scheme consists of three stages. Firstly, the condition of sharing the subchannel by more than one user is studied. Secondly, the subchannel allocation policy which depends on the data packets' lengths and the admissible combination of users per subchannel is proposed. Finally, the bits and corresponding power are allocated to users based on a greedy algorithm and the data packets' lengths. The analysis and simulation results demonstrate that our proposed scheme not only achieves significant improvement in system throughput and average packet delay compared with conventional schemes but also has low computational complexity.

The present work addresses the challenging problem of coordinating power allocation with interference management in multi-robot networks by applying the promising expansion capabilities of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) and full duplex systems, which achieves it for maximizing the throughput of networks under the impacts of Doppler frequency shifts and external jamming. The proposed power allocation with interference coordination formulation accounts for three types of the interference, including cross-tier, co-tier, and mixed-tier interference signals with cluster head nodes operating in different full-duplex modes, and their signal-to-noise-ratios are respectively derived under the impacts of Doppler frequency shifts and external jamming. In addition, various optimization algorithms, including two centralized iterative optimization algorithms and three decentralized optimization algorithms, are applied for solving the complex and non-convex combinatorial optimization problem associated with the power allocation and interference coordination. Simulation results demonstrate that the overall network throughput increases gradually to some degree with increasing numbers of MIMO antennas. In addition, increasing the number of clusters to a certain extent increases the overall network throughput, although internal interference becomes a severe problem for further increases in the number of clusters. Accordingly, applications of multi-robot networks require that a balance should be preserved between robot deployment density and communication capacity.
In this paper, we discussed an effective VDSL frequency plan for symmetric 10MDSL service. The frequency plan 998 and plan 997 for asymmetric VDSL services have been not optimally designed for 10MDSL services. To obtain the reaches and data rates of 10MDSL, we proposed two frequency allocation schemes : Static method and dynamic method. We can select frequency bands with their fixed boundaries in static method while with their variable boundaries in dynamic method. To show the effectiveness of our proposed methods, we performed some simulations about plan 997 and plan 998, new static method, and new dynamic method. According to the simulation results, the proposed dynamic method can provide the best data rates and reaches for 10 Mbps symmetric VDSL services.

In this paper, we proposed that decentralized frequency allocation scheme(DFAS) without network entry procedure between relays in mobile relay system. Frequency Indicator(FI) signal which is the reference signal of frequency division of each relay and Energy Detection(ED) region are defined. In addition, the mobile connected to the relay transmits the FI signal to neighbor relays in order to facilitate communication between relays. Finally, by using this scheme, the cell throughput improvement is confirmed.

In radio frequency identification(RFID) systems, when an RFID reader uses the same or adjacent frequency with neighbor readers, the interference between the readers may occur, which causes the reader collision and errors in tag recognition. In the previous study on RFID reader anti-collision, the techniques based on Frequency Division Mutiplex(FDM) or Time Division Multiplex(TDM) are proposed. However in these paper, the problem on the condition of RFID reader-to-reader interference considering the distance between interfering readers, frequency and operating time is not define exactly. In this paper, the interference effect is analyzed through RFID reader interference model considering the TDM and FDM, and the optimization problem is defined. To solve this, genetic-resource allocation technique is proposed. Therefore the optimal resource allocation applied RFID environment faithfully is accomplished.
