This study examined how the characteristics of abstractive form among various contenporary housing architecture have been expressed. The conclusions were: First, abstractive characteristics and types related to from expression of contemporary housing architectures were minimal form and absolute form of geometrical abstraction, plastic form and atypical form of expressive abstraction and mechanical aesthetics of industrial abstraction. Second, the typological form expression characteristics in minimal expression related to geometrical abstraction were simplicity, purity, and the properties of matter, and the characteristics in absolute expression were overlapping, obliqueness and dispensability. On the other hand, plasticity and mobility of materials were distinctive in plastic form expression, and inclination, curve and asymmetry were distinctive in atypical expression. The distinctive nature of mechanical aesthetics related to industrial abstraction included transparency, simplicity and. the properties of matter Funhermore, the study aimed at the understanding of various from expressions showed up in contemporary housing architecture, revealing the aspects of abstractive form expression characteristics.

The study aims to examine the forms of 'image expression' and utilization of model poses in fashion photos, and to delve into the characteristics and the intents that make certain model poses effective in expressing an image. The study used the fashion photos in the fashion magazine, Vogue, to analyze the different model poses used to express different images. The results are as follows. First, image expression forms in fashion photos were categorized into 'direct product suggestion expression form', 'sensual image expression form', 'sexual image expression form', 'story telling expression form', 'everyday situation expression form', and 'fantastic image expression form'. The different utilization types of model poses were categorized into 'type utilizing intangible elements', 'type utilizing complicated elements', 'type utilizing living organisms', 'type utilizing props', 'type utilizing clothes', 'type utilizing location', 'type utilizing accessories', and 'type utilizing products'. Second, the most common expression form for fashion photos used in advertisements was the 'direct product suggestion expression form', which was followed by the sensual image expression form. The most popular form used in the editorial fashion photos was the direct suggestion product expression form, which was followed by the story telling expression form. Third, the most common model pose type for direct product suggestion form was the 'type utilizing product'. Fourth, 'direct product suggestion expression form' was mostly used in editorial fashion photos. The most common utilization types of model poses were 'type utilizing clothes', 'type utilizing props', and 'type utilizing place'.

In this study, the ex-formal expressions observed in space form of Korean modern architecture are distributed for characteristic analysis based on the period and type. The result of the study is certified by the work analysis and the result is as follows. Initially, due to the limited materials and influence of western brutalism, the works developed during 1960~70 tend to be plastic and contain expressionism. Around 1980's, the works tend to show forms of amusement and popularity. In 1990's the works show significance in deconstructive expression. From after 2000, ecological concept of architecture was introduced and organic expression started increasing Secondly, the ex-formal expressions are found to be in four different types. The organic expression is shown regardless of the period. In modern days, not only the physical properties of materials, but also the ecological concept is combined with the organic expression and is in increase. The plural expression started appearing after the 1980's and the sculptural diversity is enhancing with the addition of decorative factors or modification of geometrical form. The ex-construction and deconstructive expression show significance in some characteristics such as folding, inclination, and geometrical explosion. The free form and nonlinear expression tend to increase dramatically based on the development of structure technology as well as execution and introduce of the digital design technique.

Both erythropoietin (EPO) and the short-form thrombopoietin (TPO) were expressed at low levels whereas the long-form TPO was expressed at high levels in transgenic animals. To elucidate the role of carboxy-terminal half of the long-form TPO which is absent in the short-form, we generated recombinant TPO or EPO expression vectors which contain or lack the carboxy-terminal half of TPO and examined their expression in the HC11 and 293 cells. The long-form TPO was expressed higher than the short-form regardless of the cell types, transfection modes, and promoters. When 3'-half of the long-form TPO cDNA was placed downstream of the EPO cDNA to act as a 3'-untranslated region, expression of EPO was moderately increased at the RNA level, however, no remarkable increase was observed at the protein level. These results suggest that the low expression of EPO, as like as the short-form TPO, is due to absence of the 3'-half in the full-length TPO that confers stability both at the RNA and protein levels.

Internet banner advertisement has become recognized as an important media, and its influence has been increasing. The merits of Internet banner advertisement are diversity and consumer immersion. Especially, by using various types and visual expression methods, the automobile Internet banner advertisement has evolved into what attracts curiosity and interest of potential consumers. Thus, to find efficient communication method for automobile Internet banner advertisement, this study, by comprehensively analyzing various advertisement methods in previous researches, suggested an advertisement type and a visual expression method suitable to automobile Internet banner advertisement. Four types of automobile Internet banner advertisement are production form, production purpose, expression form, and advertisement area. Four visual expression methods are action form, image, change form, and moving form. And, through case analysis, this study also examined the value of the newly suggested method.

Formation of inclusion bodies is usually observed when foreign proteins are overexpressed in E. coli. The formation of inclusion bodies might be prevented by lowering the rate of protein synthesis, and appropriate regulation of the protein expression rate may lead to the soluble expression. In this study, human growth hormone (rhGH) was expressed in a soluble form by slowing down the protein synthesis rate, which was controlled in the transcriptional and translational levels. The transcriptional level was controlled by the regulation of the amount of RNA polymerase specific to the promoter in front of the rhGH gene. For lowering the rate of translation, the T7 transcription terminator-deleted vector was used to synthesize the longer mRNA of the target gene because the longer mRNA is expected to reduce the availability of tree ribosomes. In both methods, the percentage of soluble expression increased when the expression rate slowed down, and more than 93% of rhGH expressed was a soluble form in the T7 transcription terminator-deleted expression system.

In this study, we show the expression and purification of the human recombinant farnesoid X receptor (FXR)- ligand binding domain (LBD) protein in E. coli using a double cistronic vector, pACYCDuet-1, as a soluble form. We describe here the expression and characterization of a biologically active $FXR-LBD_{(248-476)}$. When expressed in the influence of bacterial promoters ($P_{T7}$ and $P_{Tac}$) of the single cistronic expression vectors, the human recombinant $FXR-LBD_{(248-476)}$ was found to be totally insoluble. However, by using a double cistronic expression vector, we were able to obtain the human recombinant $FXR-LBD_{(248-476)}$ in a soluble form. To allow for biological activities, we have subcloned into the pACYCDuet-1 vector, expressed in E. coli cells at some optimized conditions, and purified and characterized the human recombinant active $FXR-LBD_{(248-476)}$ proteins using the fluorescence polarization assay. This suggests that the expression of FXR-LBD in a double cistronic vector improves its solubility and probably assists its correct folding for the biologically active form of the proteins. We suggest that this may represent a new approach to high expression of other nuclear receptors and may be useful as well for other classes of heterodimeric protein partners.

The purpose of this study is to understand the meanings of formative methods (re-creative expressions, abstractive expressions, conceptual expressions, and adaptive expressions) as they are adapted to fashion design. Re-creative expression is the representation of real objects from nature or the environment, sometimes in a humorous or surrealistic way. Abstractive expression is the use of reconstructed forms extracted from the basic characteristics of natural things, which take on variety of appearances based on the designer’'s creativity and imagination. Conceptual expression refers to the representation of ideas, concepts, and other products of the human mind. And, adaptive expression is a method of design that is focused on function driving the form of clothing. Modern fashion design is a fluid hybrid of these various types of expression that serves as an extension of the designers’' aesthetic values.
