In this paper, we described the basic elements (relative flowing area ratio and funeling velocity ratio in mortar, flowability and self-compactibility in concrete, and etc.) required for the maximum mix design of the super flowing concrete (SFC) using manufactured sand. Also, manufactured sand and fly ash were used for investigating characteristics of SFC through various experiments (replacement ratio of manufactured sand, optimum mix condition) before producing the concrete in batch plant. As the result of this project, the SFC using manufactured sand up to 50% showed high flowability and self-compactibility in fresh concrete. Furthermore, its compressive strength is higher than normal concrete without manufactured sand. From now on, this study may suggest how to apply manufactured sand in the SFC.

Sand-concrete is being researched for potential usage in construction in Saharan regions of Algeria, because of shortage in coarse aggregate resources. This research work deals with the effect of dune sand, available in huge quantities in these regions, on the properties of flowing sand-concrete (FSC) prepared with different proportions of dune and river sands. Mini-cone slump test, v-funnel flow-time test and viscosity measurements were used to characterize the behaviour of FSC in fresh state. The 28-day compressive strength was also determined. Test results show that an optimal content of dune sand, which makes satisfied fresh and hardened properties of FSC, is obtained. Moreover, the obtained flow index (constant b) calculated by the help of power-law viscosity model is successfully correlated to the experimental results of v-funnel flow time.
To investigate the properties of high flowing and high strength concrete with crushed sand and fly ash for CFT structure, many batches were performed by a trial-error method. In the experiment W/B was set up three levels as 0.25, 0.30 and 0.35. Also the variables of the experiment were a substitution ratio of fly ash, a blend ratio of crushed sand and the ages of specimens(3, 7, 28 days). The results of this study are summarized as the follows; 1) The effect a substitution ratio of fly ash on the compressive strength was not consistent with age. For twenty-eight day compressive strength, the best result was come out when cement was substituted by 10% of fly ash. 2) The decrease of the water binder ratio, the increase of compressive strength and elastic modulus. Also the relationship is very similar to the case of a normal concrete
To investigate the properties of high flowing concrete with fly ash and crushed sand for CFT structure, many batches were performed by a trial-error method and the results were analyzed by SPSS software program. In the experiment W/B was set up as 0.25 and the variables were a substitution ratio of fly ash, a blend ratio of crushed sand and the ages of specimens (3, 7, 28 days). The results of this study are summarized as the follows; 1) The increase of the substitution ratio of fly ash, the decrease of dosage of SP and the increase of dosage of AEA due to very fine sphere particle of fly ash. 2) The increase of the blend ratio of crushed sand, the increase of dosage of S/a and water content related with viscosity. 3) Made the high flowing concrete, the increase S/a and the increase the water content.
The utilization of high flowing concrete in construction sites is a world wide trend, and it will be increase to need for high flowing concrete in our construction sites. While it is quite easy to make high-flowing concrete in the laboratory, controlling slump in the field long enough to ensure easy placement once the concrete arrives at job site can be difficult. This study is the experimental study on the high-flowing and engineering properties of high flowing concrete using river sand and crushed stone according to the replacement percentage of fly-ash. As a results of this study is the mix proportion of replacement percentage of fly-ash 30% better than the others. And it is confirm to possibility of manufacture of the high flowing concrete.
Self-compactability is defined as a capability of concrete to be uniformly filled and compacted in every corners of formwork by its self-weight without vibration during placing. To evaluate the self compactability of self compacting concrete, the slump flow, the time of slump flow at 500mm and U-box apparatus testing methods are used. In this research, the fresh and hardened properties of self compacting concrete using ground granulated blast furnace slag as a part of cement were investigated for the volume contents of sand in the mortar. The workability, flowing characteristics, air content and compressive strength of concrete were tested and the results were compared with the different volume contents of sand in the mortar. In the experiment, we acquired satisfactory results at the point of flowing characteristics and strengths of self compacting concrete.
As the waste concrete is increased by demolition according to the plan of city-reconstruction and preperation of city-environment etc, the production of waste concrete in the country is being very increased every years. Because the use of recycled aggregate is low, the cases of unlawful reclamation and disuse are increased. These occur the social and economic problems. This experimental study is to investigate the fluidity, compressive strength and durability of flowing recycled aggregate concrete using the river sand and recycled coarse aggregate according to the replacement rate of fly-ash and to present the fundamental data for the using of flowing recycled aggregate concrete.
In this paper, we described the basic elements(flowabiligy, fillingability, elapsed time, pumpability, no-vibrating effects, and etc.) required for the application and quality control of the super flowing concrete(SFC) in Top Down site. Also, manufactured sand and fly ash were used for investigating characteristics of SFC through various experiments(mix design, optimum mix condition) before placing the concrete in site. As a result of this project, the developed SFC shown high flowability and self-fillingability in the joint good enough for the requirement. Futhermore, inner uniformity of the no-vibrated concrete was verified by testing reformed space. Therefore, quality control and compressive strength(360kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$) can be secured by using SFC even without vibrating.
In this research, the physical properties of fresh concrete using lime stone powder as a part of cement were investigated. Fresh concrete using lime stone powder was prepared with various lime stone powder replacement($5{\sim}12$ volume %) for cement and the quantities of sand aggregate ratio in concrete were 47.3%, 48.5% and 49.4% of ratio of sand aggregate. The workability, flowing characteristics, air content and bleeding of concrete using lime stone powder were tested and the results were compared with those of ordinary portland cement concrete. In the experiment, we acquired satisfactory results at the point of fresh concrete characteristics using lime stone powder within the replacement ratio of $8{\sim}12%$ and the optimum quantity of sand aggregate ratio in concrete was found to be $48.5%{\sim}50%$ of ratio of sand aggregate.
Currently, natural aggregates of good quality are hard to use because of continuous decrease of internal aggregate resource and regulation of gathering. So, use of crushed sand was being increased. On the other hand, skyscraper projects with 100 stories are being planned within the country and high strength concrete must be used to construct a skyscraper with 100 stories. High strength concrete is necessary to use crushed sand too because we are still unable to secure natural aggregates of good quality. So, This study indicated basic data necessary for mix design of high strength concrete through valuation of concrete property by quality variation of crushed sand.
