Color Doppler Flow Mapping of a Moving Orifice: Proximal Flow Convergence (운동입구에서의 컬러도플러유동매핑: 근위유동수렴)

  • Color Doppler flow mapping (CDFM) was performed on an $\underline{in\;vitro}$ experimental setup with a regurgitant moving orifice using the proximal isovelocity surface area (PISA) technique. PISA flow rates underestimated actual flow rates by as much as 65%, which is very important in diagnosing patients with valvular regurgitations or stenosis. The correction factor considering the velocity of the orifice improved the PISA flow rates.

A Study on the Debris Flow Hazard Mapping Method using SINMAP and FLO-2D

  • This study conducted an evaluation of the extent of debris flow damage using SINMAP, which is slope stability analysis software based on the infinite slope stability method, and FLO-2D, a hydraulic debris flow analysis program. Mt. Majeok located in Chuncheon city in the Gangwon province was selected as the study area to compare the study results with an actual 2011 case. The stability of the slope was evaluated using a DEM of $1{\times}1m$ resolution based on the LiDAR survey method, and the initiation points of the debris flow were estimated by analyzing the overlaps with the drainage network, based on watershed analysis. In addition, the study used measured data from the actual case in the simulation instead of existing empirical equations to obtain simulation results with high reliability. The simulation results for the impact of the debris flow showed a 2.2-29.6% difference from the measured data. The results suggest that the extent of damage can be effectively estimated if the parameter setting for the models and the debris flow initiation point estimation are based on measured data. It is expected that the evaluation method of this study can be used in the future as a useful hazard mapping technique among GIS-based risk mapping techniques.

  • 현재 스마트 장치에는 3G, LTE, Wifi나 Bluetooth를 이용하기 위한 인터페이스들이 동시에 탑재되고 있다. 아울러 다양한 인터페이스를 가지고 있는 장치의 서로 다른 인터페이스를 이용하여 통신 세션을 유지하기 위한 연구인 Flow Mobility에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행 중이다. 또한 다양한 미래 인터넷 연구 주제들 중 하나인 컨텐츠 중심 네트워크에서도, 노드의 이동에 따른 문제점을 해결하기 위한 연구가 진행중이다. 본 논문에서는 컨텐츠 중심 네트워크에 Flow Mobility를 지원하기 위해 Flow Mapping Agent를 제안하고, 노드 이동 시나리오를 통해, 본 논문에서 제안한 기법에 대해 설명하였다.

Geovisualization of Migration Statistics Using Flow Mapping Based on Web GIS (Web GIS 기반 유선도 작성을 통한 인구이동통계의 지리적 시각화)

  • In spite of the usefulness of migration statistics in spatially understanding social processes and identifying social effects of spatial processes, services and analyses of the statistics have been restricted due to the complexity of their data structure. In addition, flow mapping functionality which is a useful method to explore and visualize the migration statistics has yet to be fully represented in modern GIS applications. Given this, the purpose of this research is to demonstrate the possibility of flow mapping and the exploratory spatial analysis of the migration statistics in a Web GIS environment. For this, the characteristics of the statistics were examined from database, GIS, and cartographic perspectives. Then, O-D structure of the migration statistics was converted to spatial data appropriate to f low mapping based on the characteristics. The interface of Web GIS is specialized the migration statistics and provides exploratory visualization by allowing dynamic interactions such as spatial focusing and attribute filtering.

Symmetric Conformal Mapping for Surface Matching and Registration

  • Recently, various conformal geometric methods have been presented for non-rigid surface matching and registration. This work proposes to improve the robustness of conformal geometric methods to the boundaries by incorporating the symmetric information of the input surface. We presented two symmetric conformal mapping methods, which are based on solving Riemann-Cauchy equation and curvature flow respectively. Experimental results on geometric data acquired from real life demonstrate that the symmetric conformal mapping is insensitive to the boundary occlusions. The method outperforms all the others in terms of robustness. The method has the potential to be generalized to high genus surfaces using hyperbolic curvature flow.

  • The turbo code, an error correction code, needs a long decoding time since the same decoding process must be repeated several times in order to obtain a good BER performance. Thus, parallel processing may be used to reduce the decoding time, in which case there may be a memory contention that requires additional buffers. The QPP interleaving has been proposed to avoid such case, but there is still a possibility of memory contention when a decoder is constructed using the so-called double flow technique. In this paper, we propose an even-odd cross mapping technique to avoid memory conflicts even in decoding using the double-flow technique. This method uses the address generation characteristic of the QPP interleaving and can be used to implement the interleaving circuit between the decoding blocks and the LLR memory blocks. When the decoder implemented by applying the double flow and the proposed methods is compared with the decoder by the conventional MDF techniques, the decoding time is reduced by up to 32% with the total area increase by 8%.

Multi-robot Mapping Using Omnidirectional-Vision SLAM Based on Fisheye Images

  • This paper proposes a global mapping algorithm for multiple robots from an omnidirectional-vision simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) approach based on an object extraction method using Lucas-Kanade optical flow motion detection and images obtained through fisheye lenses mounted on robots. The multi-robot mapping algorithm draws a global map by using map data obtained from all of the individual robots. Global mapping takes a long time to process because it exchanges map data from individual robots while searching all areas. An omnidirectional image sensor has many advantages for object detection and mapping because it can measure all information around a robot simultaneously. The process calculations of the correction algorithm are improved over existing methods by correcting only the object's feature points. The proposed algorithm has two steps: first, a local map is created based on an omnidirectional-vision SLAM approach for individual robots. Second, a global map is generated by merging individual maps from multiple robots. The reliability of the proposed mapping algorithm is verified through a comparison of maps based on the proposed algorithm and real maps.

  • Previous methods to map from a FORTRAN-like specification into a systolic array were difficult to find data dependencies because the specification was expressed and executed sequentially. Data-flow graph(DFG)s show data dependencies explicitly. In this paper we show a mapping tool from a DFG specification into a systolic array. We introduce the concept of a Systolic Pattern Stream(SPS) and use that concept to derive a systolic array.

  • The purpose of this study is to present an improved lift-up & procurement work flow for effectiveness of resources increase in building construction. The current lift-up & procurement work flow has some waste factors; complicated information system, connection lack with process and decision-making delay. Therefore the study applied the value stream mapping methodology for improvement of current lift-up & procurement work flow. The main contents of the study are as follows; 1) A problem of current work flow were analyzed through current state mapping(CSM). 2) An improved work flow was suggested through future state mapping(FSM). 3) An improvement effect analysis of information system and lift-up planning The study recommends that continuous improvement of lift-up & procurement work flow and efficient management of information in building construction.
